That forum really felt good. A lot of the crowd came up to me after to let me know they see me at the council meetings and everyone commented on the new look. And Walter kept putting his foot in his mouth on issues like Neighborhood Council, saying people shouldn't waste their time, but run for city council instead.

I noted that just because a stakeholder who wants a voice in their community, to keep a Clear Channel digital billboard from popping up in their area in violation of the law, or a giant housing project in an unsafe environment, doesn't mean they want to run for, or hold an elected position.

Anyway, it wasn't the biggest deal in the world, but it was a nice crowd and it got some coverage in the Daily News and the people in attendance will talk up the candidates they liked.

AND THANKS TO JILLIAN FOR MENTIONING ZUMA DOGG'S FRIDAY APPEARANCE ON MONDAY'S SHOW.

My homie tivo'd it, i'll post it later.

I'll be on KNBC 4 News Raw (also on the HD channel) Tuesday 2/17 at 3pm.

And yes, Daily News went with the picture of the clear leader. Do you think they picked the photo at random?

I think this photo was selected for the comedy value.

It's obviously of five people being utterly bored to death by the one who is running his mouth.

This is so L.A.

What I"ve gleaned from this site is that running for mayor is an entertainer, a billboard enthusiast, a taco truck lover, two pot-heads (one of whom masquerades as an economist) all trying to take over the job of a grinning clown who works only 11% of the time.

No wonder we"re the laughing stock of the country.
I don't think this could have been better scripted if they tried.

Ya know, I've been criticizing Saltsburg for the ridiculous hat and glasses; I was wrong.

Put them back on, Dave, you look so much better in them. And let your beard grow as well, it will take away from the bald look.

I used to think you couldn't get 1,000 votes; I was wrong about that as well.

I'm thinking more like under 500 for you and your real look.

Zuma got over 1,000 to qualify. Of the 25k who will vote I say Zuma will get more than 2K votes....he wont win....but maybe he will run for CD14 or CD1 next time.

Hernandez is the main reason we're stuck with Richard AlarCON for 4 more years.

How much did Ricardo pay you, Dave?

This morning at Council, one of zuma's Venice Beach recruits showed up, El Jefe the Great, who says he's a felon and urged the Council to let it be known to all the felons of LA that they can vote.

He said they'd vote for zuma because he would make the city better for "felons like me." FELONS FOR ZUMA,
you can't make this stuff up.
