Congratulations Westside White Guy You Done It Again!
Displaying the level of writing that earns plexiglas Pulitzer Prize paperweights, old Kev AKA WESTSIDE WHITE GUY - the lord and master of (Anglo)LA Observed does it again in his efforts to slam the LA Weekly:
"Former Daily News reporter Berth Barrett shows up in the LA Weekly with astory so DN-ish ‹ 'the San Fernando Valley is emerging as the poster childfor middle-class flight' ‹ it even quotes David Fleming."
Uh, actually Barrett quoted Daniel Flaming, an expert on LA's business climate. Not sure if he's an economist but he's not David Fleming, the Wizard of Universal City.
Keep up the good work Kevin. The kleptocracy loves, the kids, not so much.

What's the difference between Kevin Roderick and Zach Behrens?
Zach admits his mistakes.
All the mistakes from simple typos to factual errors you make on this blog and you throw this at someone? Weird.
That's all you got, Flaming/Fleming? Hellzya, if spolling were a crime Wet Spot would be in Sing-Sing by now.
But Roderick is absolutely right about the gist of it -- Jill Stewart's been using that old Valley- secessionist, hero of the suburban bluehairs and eastsiders with their own different issues, and malcontents everywhere: Ron Kaye. So it only follows that Kaye's former mouthpiece Beth Barrett would turn up at the Weekly to continue the job he used to do at Daily News, trashing metro LA and AV.
Which isn't to say that some parts of that article aren't correct and somethng many can agree with, but "the Valley subsidizes the rest of LA which is all very poor or rich" is SO simplified and so full of hate against AV, Garcetti and the planning dept. and everyone at cit hall west of Boyle Heights and south of the Ventury Fwy that Roderick is right to roll his eyes at its predictable slant.
Hey get off your fat ass and start getting more consistent hotsheets.

I like the blog, but not the inconsistently or flamethrowing.
Wonderful, so instead of giving your daily update, you're spending your time poring over the competitors' websites.
Don't ever claim that you don't steal ideas from them! This is proof that you spend time checking them out.
Roderick's hatred of LA Weekly, Mayor Sam, Ron Kaye, etc. is getting tiring.
you all have to be kidding, roderick is the king of criticism of everything anyone else flubs, holds himself as mr. perfect and then makes a gratuitous attack on a reporter who wrote a good story because he's got a personal grudge against the far more talented Jill Stewart. He gets the reporter's name wrong, and he can't actually read what she wrote because he's blinded by his antagonism toward Jill

Kevin can't quite get over being a 3nd rate guy at a 3rd rate paper, now running a 4th rate blog. He's such a pussy. He's scared to even say hello to Jill S.
