What Will Antonio Do?

Mayor Sam predicts that Mayor McCheese-araigosa will be the one major local politician to be ignored by the anticipated Obama administration for his failure to support Obama's campaign until it was clear that Hillary Clinton would not be the nominee.

With a financial, density and traffic disaster in Los Angeles that Mayor McCheese-araigosa will not be able to pawn off on anyone else, there is a good chance that he will lose the mayoral election this coming Spring.

What Will Antonio Do for his next job?

Officeholder in Venezuela?
Renegade taco truck labor organizer?
Pool boy for Walter Moore?
Aide to David Hernandez?
Driver for Gail Goldberg, since she doesn't know how to find major neighborhoods?

Or do you think he is still going to be Mayor, despite his incredible failures and, if so, why?

" . . .there is a good chance that he will lose the mayoral election this coming Spring."

Just as good a chance as there is that bats will fly our of your arse on Halloween night.

You just have NO concept of the reality out there beyond your little PC monitor do you? Tony V. is mayor of L.A. as long as term limits allow, and/or as long as he wants the job.

He doesn't even have to campaign, and he'll win handily.

His policies (if he has any) don't matter, his character doesn't matter, his performance doesn't matter.

In fact, the state of the city doesn't matter. There could be riots in the street, and he'd waltz to victory.

He's "pretty" - he smiles a lot - and he's everywhere shaking hands. He's a "symbol" of a friendly, progressive L.A. that works for most of the people that bother to vote. Nothing bad that happens here will ever be his fault.

Just as it NEVER mattered that the

80 FAKE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCHES

were his only real/fake achievment in two years as a City Councilmember -- back when MAYOR SAM endorsed him for mayor here. Or, that he had shady connections, raised funds from fat cats in other states in order to affect the race here, and has never kept a promise in his life -- political or personal.

We are beyond issues and performance mattering any more. Mayors, governors, and presidents are nothing more than symbols and mouthpieces, now.

"Don't bore me with facts," they say. "I like the guy."

On election night, you'll be the one crossing your fingers and saying "wait until all the absentees are in" long after AV has 60 percent of the vote.

UNLESS you can round up those bats, soon . . .

"as long as he wants to?"

holy cow, you are already hedging your bats, er, bets!

if Villar loses, he will say that he no longer "wants to be Mayor." yeah right.

Villar is trying to get another job NOW so he doesn't have the permanent stain of being run out of office in a landslide.

Antonio has some real work to do to get enough votes to win re-election and maybe the 2nd career he's undertaken while mayor as a fund raiser for 2009 will all work out for him in arriving at goal. That devious, "all-about-me” mind has to be loaded with election ideas since he has not spent too much time as mayor cluttering it up with issues that might actually be helpful for the city.

Tony will have so much money to spend that he can get a shuttle-service-type operations getting out the poor voters to the polls with certainty, since those tend to be the ones most receptive to his manipulation of the facts and re-creation of reality in his speeches. The mayor will call in all the favors, whatever and wherever they are as to the liberal element of his supporters.

Tony will find lots of support from people who have invested money in him to promote their interests. They don’t want to start all over and maybe get rejected or have to spend even more money to entrench themselves in government operations.

You absolute have the people on payroll whose continued paydays depend on keeping Tony in office. They will work hard for his re-election, maybe even making some comments on blogs (maybe even here, do you think?) to pepper the information sites with loads of disinformation and rehabilitative baloney.

Tony will definitely leave some deep fingernail marks on the edge of the mayoral precipice while challengers try to dislodge his grip with their push, enabled by voter support.

You just can’t slip all the self-serving, truth-avoiding things past the electorate, but then again Prop. R and Prop. S were things that should not have even been close calls, but they won. That’s the kind of voter action that must energize Tony’s imagination and keep him going. You know he won’t go quietly.

Read his smiling lips, people. . .

Tony's NOT in any trouble, from ANY challenger, stated or potential.

He'll win handily in a 4- or 5-way primary filled with no-names who will all kill each other off by divvying up the "non-Antonio" minority of votes and leaving Wacko Walter and the likes with single digits -- AGAIN!

Other than the half dozen "Tony's sky is falling" nitwits that post here (and who sucked on Hertzberger's dried-up political teets last time, until they chapped their own damn lips), show me ONE public opinion poll that suggests Villaraigosa is in ANY trouble, between now and that primary date, and I'll show you a poll created on a blind, unethical blog by ZUMA BEEY-OUCH.

Get back in line for tickets to the next Star Wars revival, you fantasy buffs. You've all just plain lost it.

If there was any REAL Tony-blood in the water, then there would be REAL name-recognized contenders suiting up and testing the waters -- not this demented wannabe-of-the week-collection now being assembled.

All you're doing by pretending that AV's in some kind of political trouble is guaranteeing that Parke Skelton's gonna get rich off the campaign coffers of the faithful, one more time.

If that's your misguided idea of "spreading the wealth around" -- well, okay. Maybe that's even a good thing.

I'm down with the idea of fleecing the town's most gullible limo-libs, again and again (for no good reason).

The more times they have to rush in to defend and fund Tony Villar - when he's not in any real trouble - the less money they have to support the other godless socialist causes that make up their liberal political pseudo "religion."

Can somebody give Haikula a job? She knows nothing about L.A. politics other than what she might read in the newspaper.

Higby is this the best you can find for commentors on this blog?

Dear Cognitively Challenged!

Hahaha! Do you know what Haikula does for a living?

I appreciate the offer, though.

P.S. How do YOU have such time to be a devoted fan of mine? My posts, geared solely to generate hits, take about 5 minutes each. MAX. And that includes finding a photo.

So let us know how it is that you're such a devoted reader of someone who you claim to dislike so much.

Come on, swizzlestick. Explain.

Yup the gang banger cholo Mayor wasn't needed nor did they want his sorry ass with the Obama team. Antonio hasn't done shit to help the cause. Boy has thousands of people in this city waited for him to get his just reward for ruining our beautiful city. To the idiot posting the bullshit just like Americans, Angelenos are sick of Antonio's bullshit not matter what you say. Go to a meeting and everyone makes negative remarks about him. When he walks in a room people groan and laugh. Yup, that Rock Star crap is over.
