Amanda Carpenter of TownHall.com relays the following: “The Drudge Report linked to the YouTube video declaring ‘Obama Kids Sing for Dear Leader’ Tuesday afternoon drawing much attention to a performance of 22 children, aged 5-12, wearing identical blue Obama shirts singing a 3-minute ode to the Democratic candidate. The performance was ‘inspired’ by Obama fundraiser and music teacher Kathy Sawada and filmed . . . in Venice, California.”
The “ode to Obama” sounds eerily like a church praise song; except the object of the adoration is none other than Obama – the one who will usher in the new era of hope and change and of happiness and freedom. The lyrics encourage listeners to “Sing for joy and sing abundantly,” because “Obama’s gonna change it. Obama’s gonna lead ‘em. We’re gonna change it and rearrange it. We’re gonna change the world.” The ode ends with children chanting, “Yes, we can,” followed by a solo. Let’s give it up for the forerunners of the Obama Youth.
When a man is turned into a god scary things happen. History shows that when mortal man is looked to as some kind of savior, the Pharaoh / Fuhrer ends up with absolute control, allowing no dissenting opinion. He alone can separate truth from falsehood.
These hits aren't going to affect the election.
Yet, panicky conservatives and racists are becoming increasing terrified that a black man, well half-black man, may become president.
They were disappointed that the "that one!" comment was the toughest that McCain got on personally attacking Obama during the debate.
Mocking has turned to anger as speakers stir up the crowds at rallys. Twice this last week local officals "warmed up" the crowd by railing against "Osama Hussein Obama," but never using McCain's full name, a simple thing to do.
John Weaver, McCain's former top strategist said top Republicans have a responsibility to temper this behavior.
He didn't say if there should be an exemption for rightwing bloggers who want to generate more hits.

Here's where this behavior is leading.
Angered by a delay in the receipt of his voter registration card, a Louisiana man threatened to shoot election officials claiming that he needed to cast a ballot to "keep the n***er out of office."
He said he would come to the state office and empty his shotgun unless he got his card.
We've all got three choices:
1. Encourage such behavior through what we say and write.
2. Discourage such behavior.
3. Do nothing.

To the great distress of my conservative friends, Obama has put this election away. With the RCP average now favoring Obama with 277 electoral votes and in the lead by 5 points or more in all but 1 swing state, this election is over.
McCain has been swinging wildly but unable to connect. His disdain for Obama has clouded his judgment. Instead of coming up with a clear alternative to Obama, he has chosen to run a sleazy campaign and it isn't working.
Looks like the GOP has so screwed the pooch that they will now lose it all.

"I just have to rely on the good judgment of the voters not to buy into these negative attack ads. Sooner or later, people are going to figure out if all you run is negative attack ads you don't have much of a vision for the future or you're not ready to articulate it."
Higy and Haikula are experts in running negative campaigns. Higby and Haikula do you have any more YouTube videos comparing Obama supporters to Hitler supporters?

Hoody hoo Mayor Sam look at that! You managed to get none other (or is it noone other?) than Jim "Do-It Center" Alger to post on your blog that Johnnie Mac is toast and that Obama is movin' on up to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
I bet you are just besides your fat little self that such a learned and thoughtful political prognosticator as Jim Alger would grace your blog with his deep knowledge and insight into politics.
You may remember that Jim said he would win the Democratic nomination and then go on to be elected to the State Assembly while he drove around a hybrid with a fake CD12 license plate and told people he was a Senator.
In fact if my memory serves me well you even bought into this fantasy Higby.
So what happened?
Noone voted for Jim. One would surmise they were all maroons.
For all their rants, the moonbats love Obama because he is a socialist who was a friend with terrorists and anti-semites, and a vote-fraud specialist too.
Well Alger waited long enough to make his prediction.
He's like the soldiers who show up after the battle is over to shoot the wounded.
Putting the ridiculous personal attacks against me by the immature anonymous nut-case aside, I will concentrate on the Obama attacks instead.
"Friends with terrorists" and "Voter fraud"??? Are you wing-nuts so out to lunch as to not understand the fundamental concept that, in order to run for President of the United States, one undergoes a thorough inter-agency background check?
It never ceases to amaze me that when people have no policies from which to run on, they reduce themselves to personally attacking their opponents - manufactured or otherwise. This is unfortunately true in local through federal politics and across the political spectrum. The goal, of course, is to cut off legitimate constructive debate and replace it with a win-at-any-cost strategy.
The end result is always a loss. Not by the people running, but rather for our system of democracy as a whole.
But heck, with the economy in the tank, 2 wars, a soaring national debt and unemployment rising... by all means let's talk about associations and license plates.

If only you knew anything... but alas you know nothing. I hold no grudge against Lyn Shaw, or anyone else for that matter and don't believe she holds one against me. We were competitors in a race that she won fair and square. I came in 2nd in a field of 4 candidates (so much for "no-one voted for him", but she won. That is life and we all move on. Since then I ran the campaign to defeat Wal-Mart in Ventura (and won) and am now happily doing what I enjoy doing - making a difference in my own way.
Interesting that I am "nobody" but when the LADWP needed someone to save the DWP MOU Mr. Nahai called me in to mediate the issue. Just because I don't stand on a street-corner with a megaphone screaming at the wind, doesn't mean I am either absent or dis-engaged.
I shall give you the last word and full license to post 3 or 4 or even 10 anonymous attacks on me for you seem to need the last word more than I.
I know many are in tough times right now so if clinging to attacking a "nobody" anonymously gets you through the day, it says much more about you than it does me.

2. Working for an elected official
3. Getting re-elected to a Neighborhood Council

Dumbshit - I posted that, not Haiku.
And it wasn't comparing Obama himself to Hitler himself but the hysteria around him - including the bizarre singing - to the type of hysteria we've seen in both right wing and left wing extremist revolutionary movements.
No leader - no matter how talented - should have people singing songs of praise about them.
Even the John Rich song about McCain isn't about McCain but about his supporters and it's a party song, not a hymn.
And you don't see people forcing little kids to sing it.
Anyway, seriously, if you think Obama has some great specific policies, wonderful, post them up so we can discuss it. If you want to discuss his skills, do it. It's welcome.
But lets stop singing songs and for God sake stop making little kids offer praise to Obama and marching in his name. That shit is just weird.
6:15pm, the very least you can do is acknowledge that you were 100% wrong about ME posting ANY such comparison, and then admit that you need to re-read what Boss wrote.
This is why the Dems are doomed, regardless of who wins. They let emotion get ahead of logic. "Oh my gosh, Sarah is this. She's that."
Take a deep breath, acknowledge you're a FOO' and move on.
