College Student is Alone Voting for McCain

What courage! To have all your friends standing around you and pressuring you to go the opposite direction of your values. I can relate!

And this young man makes some very good points, surrounded by Democrats in his family.

Jeepers..you've made two shocking discoveries. That black republicans are extremely rare and that black people don't vote for candidates just because they are black. Someone give this man a prize.

Black people usually do vote for people just because they're black. And there is peer pressure to vote for Obama among blacks, students and anyone who was a rabble rouser in the sixties and thinks they're cool.

Those are the wrong reasons to vote for someone. Sarah Silverman's dumb campaign to pressure kids in Florida to pressure their grandparents to vote for Obama is a case in point. She sees this as the cool thing to do vs. old-fashioned. Sad way to look at politics. These people should be opining on cd's or street fashion not our next president.

Sarah sucks and she isn't funny anyway. She says offensive things and makes people cringe and dares them to be "cool" enough to say it's funny.

I'm not a Sarah Palin supporter but I condemn this kind of racial and age or sex based peer pressure to go with the herd.

ha. tell that to the kids in Wasilla who actually believe in science and lernin' and stuff like that. Talk about being pressured to climb aboard the JEEBUS BUS! (And yes, THAT bus is an incredibly Short Bus).

If you live there and aren't white, fundie batshitcrazy, KKK member, or Alaskan seccessionist, yer fucked.

We blacks vote 95% for the Democratic party. What have they done for us lately?

If we spread our votes around a little more we'd get more notice.
