Sexuality in this country will continue to be messed up until we can handle looks & brains in the same package.

That should turn around the failing McCain-Palin campaign.
WHEN we get looks and brains in the same package, I'll be all for it.
I'm sick of the angry feministas of Hillary's generation who equate being qualified with looking butch.
Our American housefraus are just as bad, look at the "average Mom look," baggy slacks and a loose shirt with neat hair. How boring.
But Palin's an idiot, who thinks paleontology is a fiction made up by evil Darwinists and Jews like Spielberg in their movies. Actually, she thinks the fiction of Jurassic Park IS real, was real, that dinos walked with men.
This ain't no smart lady. And she can't name a single periodical she chooses on her own. Either she's so stupid she reads "anything they put in front of me," like she said or she can't remember a single one of them. Either way, and with that "betcha" grating voice and the vocabulary of a car salesman in North Dakota, Palin's a bad joke, a stroke of desperation that confused the public for a while but they're not that dumb: the vast majority even of Republicans don't think she's qualified.
I say this with regret as someone who thinks Obama's an egotistical windbag who talks a good talk but can't deliver any of it, between fuzzy math and conservative who'd block him if he tried. If there were a fiscally responsible, moderate Republican running I'd vote for him or her.

I think this speaks greater volumes about you than it does about Palin.
I was going to write about Palin having the top approval rating of all 50 Governors, but you said everything that needs to be said, Mr. Ain't.
I work in Indianapolis, Ind. and I saw people giving out 20.00 bills to people around the homeless shelters. I reported this to the state elections. They were telling people that they would get more money if they voted for Obama. They must have given out hundreds of bills just in the short time I was there. They had people sign up or register without any ID also.

Of the LESS THAN 700,000 people in Alaska, please tell me how many previous governors had unsimilar approval ratings in their first year in office (especially if they are from the largest part of the state (Wasilla is a suburb of Anchorage, home to more than 1/3rd of the populace).
Just because you have a high approval rating, doesn't make you smart (OR AN EFFECTIVE LEADER).

It's a well-known fact that her approval ratings are higher than any other Governor in the U.S.
Mr. Obama may some day have such approval ratings if he ever gets a gig as an executive (like Palin), which he has yet to hold.
Maybe he could run a law firm for a few years before wanting to run the country. Or a school. Or a university. Or a Subway sanwich shop.
Then, maybe, he'll know about how to run things.
In the meanwhile, go do your own tasks. Ha-ha-Haikula. Dumbass.

I can't find an approval rating for Clinton for his first term but he was elected with 65% of the vote. He was later defeated for re-election, but came back the next election, was elected Governor one more time and remained Governor for 10 years until he became President.
Being the governor of a state that is flush with money from an windfall profits tax on the oil companies, which McCain opposes, Palin had the money to return to the residents. And with a husband that was an active member of the group that wanted Alaska to suceed from the United States, she had some unusual tools to earn her popularity.
But don't forget that this is the state that keeps reelected Ted Stevens to the Senate.
Being popular in Alaska hardly translates into being popular nationwide.
Since Palin joined the ticket more information has been made available about her. It has been more difficult for her bury the Troopergate scandal.
According to one survey, her popularity in Alaska has dropped from a high of 82% not too long ago to 65% today. Her negative rating has jumped from 13% to 30%.

As the result of raising the oil tax from a 10% gross revenue tax to a 25% profits tax, Palin was able to give everyone in Alaska $3,269.
Good for Palin's popularity, but McCain criticized Obama for proposing a national windfall profits tax this summer.
KTUU in Anchorage notes that Sarah Palin's popularity is nose diving in Alaska with no end in sight .... kind of like the stock market I guess.

McClatchy Newspapers reports that among Republicans in Alaska, Palin still has a 93% favorable rating. But her popularity among Democrats has dropped by 24% and among Independents by 18%. Biggest single reason is the abuse of power charges that she is facing.
Abuse of power is a serious matter when you're someone who wants more power.

I don't understand why this is so surprising. The media shows the people what they want to see. That's called the free market, right?
I'll go further and say this: I'm certain that most people won't vote against her because she's hot, quite the opposite. What people will vote against her for is that her plan for energy independence is to drill for more oil and to say "energy independence" a bunch of times. Oh they'll also vote against her because Alaska is close to Russia, which means she's a communist.
I wonder how many times the FatBoy Higby has been looking at that photo of Sarah Palin.

Or she'd see that the use of that term was reflective of Palin's own stupidity and inteligence level. Neither she nor her dumb supporters are bright enough to even see sarcasm.
Typical of the simple minded fools who want to tell the rest of us what to do and how to think, and prohibit our own freedom in reproducing or marrying. The dumber they are the most certain that they should tell others what they can't do.
Sarah is the stupidest person who has ever run for national office. I may disagree with someone like Ralph Nader, but can't accuse him of being stupid. He sure as hell knows what he reads and why.
