Biden "Guarantees International Crisis for Obama"
Over the weekend, Senator Joe Biden "guaranteed that there will be an international crisis to challenge Barack Obama."
What is Joe Biden trying to do? Swipe defeat from the hands of victory? Joe Biden. God love ya!
As promised, here is the best Joe Biden gaffe of the entire campaign.

Here we have Barack Obama’s running mate declaring that if Obama is elected, “we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
Biden even doubts that Obama will respond to the crisis in a way that inspires confidence. He tells Obama’s supporters that Obama is “gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”
Does anyone really need any additional reasons not to vote for Obama? (If so, there are lots of them.)

I cannot wait to hear how Jim "I Have A Career in Politics" Alger explains away this one.
Alger does B. Obama pay you by the word or hour when you blogviate?

Jim Alger is as close to the situation as Jack Weiss is to eating the little brown berry shoved up Antonio's ass.
Very close.

What is more troubling is that Biden himself said that "Obama is not qualified to be president."
If Biden predicts that Obama is going to be challenged by an international crisis, but is not qualified to be president, maybe Obama should have made a better choice for VP.
He'd have been better off with Hillary.

From the truth squad:
The link below is the ABC News story on this.
Biden's prediction sounds reasonable to me. The world of international politics is complex.
"Mark my words," Biden said, "It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
He went on to explain several ways this could happen.
Another scenario has already been posted on this blog. It involves that way the international world could test John McCain who has been dragging his feet on preparing a transition plan. Some world leaders could likely sense a weakness at the beginning of a McCain presidency, and test him.
But these tests don't necessarily mean an attack on the United States. They most likely would be something like a Russian invasion of a NATO country to test what the U.S. will do. Or something along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border.

It's not so much a switch in leadership to Obama, but a switch in the entire administration from Republicans to Democrats, or in the case of McCain, as he tells it, from Bush Republicans to his mavericks.
With either Obama or McCain there will be a new administration that sinister forces will be tempted to test.

If the Russians attack Georgia again will B Obama tell the Georgians they deserved it and that getting involved is "above his pay grade?"

IF Alger is paid by the word to blog for Bama you are making him a rich man.

I sometimes wonder what the heck goes through Biden's mind while he's speaking.
How is that a good statement, then to latch on to it and repeat it, and make big deal out of it so it makes the news cycle.
Ignore 'experience' issues Joe.
Gosh man, row in the same direction as everyone else please.

One reason behind the tightening of the race appears to be a drop in the number of people who think McCain, if elected, will mostly carry out President Bush's policies. Forty-nine percent of those questioned in the new survey say McCain would mostly carry out Bush's policies, down from 56 percent in the previous poll.

There are several points to be made here not the least of which Biden's remarks were not a "Gaffe" although in politics a Gaffe is described as telling the truth by accident.
There was no accident to Biden's remarks. They were prepared and given to the media before he made them so just calm yourselves.
Either administration will be tested. But there is something to think about here. John McCains awesome handling of the recent financial crises aside, and putting aside the impeccable manner in which he has run his campaign, he is a 72 year old cancer survivor. If something were to happen to him, he has left the country in the hands of someone who is clearly not qualified to be President. That is not putting "Country First" that is putting politics first.
The Vice President is the "fall-back" position of our government. The only Constitutional duty of the Vice President is to cast a vote in the Senate in the event of a tie, and to be prepared to step in as President in a moments notice.
That being said, let us look at the Presidential contenders. One is running the largest, most unlikely, and most inclusive campaign in history, the other nearly bankrupted his campaign twice.
One has been cool and steady in the face of the fiercest of conditions, the other erratic and often non-responsive to events as they are unfolding.
One spoke to calm a jittery nation when the markets crashed, the other artificially suspended his campaign in a weekend of grandstanding that backfired badly.
Joe Biden said exactly what he meant to say. This nation will be tested and based on the last 18 months one candidate has emerged as the one who is best equipped to guide this nation through that test, and if something were to happen to Barack, a second person stands at the ready.

12:40 Show me one poll, even Karl Rove's poll, the show the electoral vote projections tightening, and any that have McCain anywhere near enough votes to get elected.

11:30 here -
Jim you're a little late.
That isn't what CNN is reporting.
Biden went off script again causing Obama's Army of Algers (OAA) to fire up keyboards and blogviate away.
Does Obama know that every minute you blogviate on this piss ass blog that's one minute you aren't doing GOTV?
Blogging on Mayor Sam isn't going to get more votes for Obama or McCain.
But Obama has money to burn so why not.

Is Jim Alger saying a cancer survivor can't be President?

If Alger was getting paid to blog for Obama he wouldn't be wasting his time here. Today I looked at one ABC News story that already had nearly 400 comments posted. He'd be busy where the impact was greater.

Wasn't Haikula complaing about Joe B. re-posting a topic which was previously posted in the comments section?
How many times are we going to have the same YouTube video posted by Haikula and Higby?
We already have two international crises on our hands, Iraq and Afghanistan, how well is your two-term Republican president George W. Bush handling those so far?
Jim Alger said:
No, I am saying Presidential Nominees should consider their own health and not their party base when they choose a Vice President, or even better maybe both - but we already know McCain has trouble multi-tasking.
Also, despite the spin, Biden may have gone off the campaign message but he said what he intended to say.

Damn Jim - you're good.

Jim,
For the sake of disclosure, you should state at the top of every comment you make that you are paid by the O'bama campaign.
Otherwise, you are being disingenuous.
Not that anyone particularly cares what you have to say, especially with your odd previous behavior on this blog, and using your handicap as an excuse for it.

Jackass Weiss is a jerkoff who is going to make a break from Villar as soon as Caruso throws his hat in the ring.
What's wrong with Jack Weiss is that he didn't do this sooner.
Jack Weiss is an ass-eater! Not such a kiss-ass, but someone who gets into the cheeks and munches Antonio's brown berry.

Hi 1:05pm,
I promised this weekend that if anyone complained about the Joseph Biden clip, on the normally quiet weekend, that I would postit during the week.
Unlike written comment, this clip has purely humorous intentions. Oh, did you see that your friend Mr. Biden has now guaranteed that there will be an attack if Obama is elected?
Joseph Biden is a guy who speaks the truth when it comes to Obama. He said that the man is not qualified to be president. And now this.
You can look forward to my reposting this clip again at my leisure. It is getting tons of clicks, and that is the goal. Got that Swizzlestick?

No one is quite certain what Biden is saying having "gone off message." The Obama campaign had to scramble to issue three different conflicting statements.
