Ass Clown Award for the Month of April
The seed for this month's award of the "Ass Clown" was planted a year ago tonight and reinforce with ensuing acts of calculated arrogance and denial. Acts that have set this public person apart from the Conventional Wisdom of the city populace.Before moving on, we want to give our best to the former "Mayor Frank" where ever he may be. As he would say, it takes a special breed of politician to showcase the attributes to be bestow the honor of "Ass Clown of the month".
April's winner of the "Ass Clown" has been to the "top of the mountain" as a public servant, turning around the fortunes of one of the city's most important departments.
Yet somewhere, the rarefied air of political ambition mixed with the arrogance of regional upbringing have changed the formerly revered public servant into a pretentious politico who will let no public disturbance let alone public outrage and rank and file discontent, interfere with his pronouncements of policy/politics that may lead him back east to greener pastures of power.
With no further ado we award the "Ass Clown Award" for the month of April to the "chief shill" for the preservation of "Special Order 40", Chief William Bratton.
Beginning in the advancing darkness of May Day 2007 and culminating with his Q and A at the "OLD GREY LADY ON SPRING STREET", the formerly "People's Chief" has become the "Chief Protector" for a political/elite community that has become detached from the realities of life in the City of Los Angeles.
In a time where street gangs/urban terrorists are establishing international ties and recruiting from fatherless communities of desperate youths. Bratton denies the tools and the federal resources that his rank and file officers need to get the upper ground in their desperate battles to reclaim our urban communities.
When Jamiel Shaw, a youth of promise is gunned down in cold blood by a gang member who should of been deported, Bratton resorts to placing the reason for Pedro Espinosa's access to freedom outside the jurisdiction of his oversight.
Officers who question his decrees and punitive actions must resort to assuming alias (Jack Dunphy) that protect them from the wrath of the chief.
But for the average, hard working citizen of the "City of Angels" the formerly "guardian angel' that restore the integrity of the department after the reign of "Bitter Bernie" has become himself a detach, arrogant protector of a political class and their ideals, that has its sights on its next stop on the trip of power.
........and for Bratton, one may have a larger jurisdiction of protective oversight awaiting him, that being the Homeland.

Villaraigosa oversees every dept. that means LAPD. YOu know damn well he wanted everything to run smoothly today. Your ASS CLOWN sould be with the pandering Mayor because the damn illegals wouldn't have marched last year if Antonio, Huizar, Cedillo, etc. stopped catering to them. Um, 6:53, thats "special ORDER 40", and as a cop, we DO NOT turn them over to ICE, if we do we are chastised. I know of two friends of mine that did days off for doing so. I can tell you this we the rank and file, cant stand Bratton.....he really is the "ass clown" a political hack that does the bidding for the midget. He doesn't really control LAPD anyway, he's a figurehead.

One commander in the West Valley who I won't name altho he's well-known does support his cops and "allow" them to question suspects for legal status because they know who they are and like San Fer's, many flaunt their weapons and immunity in their faces.
But Sergio Diaz, who's in charge of E L A where the illegals are numerous, including Glassell Park, hasn't deported a single gangbanger and won't allow his cops to ask.
what about the life time achievement award for Don Quixote for a life of being a ass clown did you consider it.

I have to tell you that a certain deputy chief will have that CO on the carpet soon, because billy boy wants it that way. He will do whatever the midget tells him to do. Again, I cant emphasize this enough, Bratton is a figure head.
Bratton has been hanging to close to Antonio. The valley loves that Deputy Chief who has his guys go after those illegal gang bangers if that changes all hell in the valley will break loose. Yup Sergio Diaz is a Cuban who thinks like Antonio and the other idiots. They're here trying to make a living bullshit but I think the march will backfire just like it did last year. No tourism for LA once media coverage is blasted all over the nation and no new recruits want to come here to work for a gang banger Mayor.

...Currently, the LAPD's Operations Valley Bureau officers work with immigration officials to systematically go through the files of arrestees, deporting those who are in the country illegally. This is good policy, but it is not applied consistently throughout the Police Department. We are one city; there must be one policy. My modification takes a proactive approach, assisting officers to apprehend criminals on the front end, notifying ICE before a crime is committed by a gang member, not after.

I totally agree that the Deputy Chief we are talking about is a stand up guy and a good CO. It's these knuckleheads down here that are the major problem.....too much leg riding and career promotion, and general PC bullsh*t going on to get the job done properly. Too many fiefdoms if you know what I mean. They feel that a few high profile gangbangers get deported, then they've done their job. Pathetic, just pathetic.
As a former "Newton copper" special order 40 was a reminder to some of us that the people we served were treated fairly. If some knucklehead got out of line, we didnt need to run to ICE to handle our problems, that was called area integrity, do some of you boots remember that? As it is, the county jails and the courts have the final say-so on those matters. For us, a day in newton was real police work, and as we pinned our badge to our chest we sore "to protect and to serve"

6:07...."shottin Newton"...LOL....those were the days. I remember administering "tune ups" when needed. All that is gone now, and look what we got, an out of control city, with the bangers runing the show. If the Janice Hahn thing is true.....that would only be the tip of the iceberg. It wouldn't surprise me if the midget was invovled as well.
I work with a bunch of Lt.'s Capt.'s that should never have made it past P2, dumb as a box of rocks. These are the morons making line decisions....all PC decisions. As long as we keep promoting incompitants, we will never improve the situation.
Oh, one more thing......everyone screems about the consent decree....the consent decree is only enforced on the back of the line officer.....Lt. and up are immune. There is NO oversite on the brass, I have personally seen that....the little princes of the city.
