Higby, for his continued, persistent and irrational support for billboard blight in general, and ClearChannel/ CBS OUtdoors in particular.
AND for his related defense of Rocky Delgadillo, even attacking Matt Szabo for challenging the greedy, incompetent and inept Rocky in the DN for refusing to lay off any office staff, while either losing/ selling out to/ or refusing to try any legal cases.

I vote for Sierra Club because I'm sick of their pathetic endorsements.
It's too late for someone to be nominated after they're already in office especially when it's because of endorsements like the Sierra Club. So I say stop them before they are allowed to become ass clowns.
Higby these anti-billboard people have sort of a sickness. Kind of like the PETA folks. Don't worry about them.
No actually we have an appreciation for good aesthetics. Those hideous billboards ruin the landscape. Are you crazy? Are you a Clear Channel lobbyist?

Clueless clods on this blog, headed by Higby, love ChearChannel/CBS and Rocktard -- just because he's lost in space in his own cloud of methane, and refuses to cooperate with the Mayor OR anyone but ClearChannel, I guess. And they hate Jill Stewart, who they should be rooting for IF they had any logic or motivation for this blog beyond sheer MAV spite.
I think the Mayor is wrong on so many issues but this sort of spite, turning Rocktard into some sort of hero because he's too stupid to function normally, is just sad.
I second that, Higby for Ass Clown. And since he's allied with Reyes on this one, Let's make that a Trifecta: Higby/Rocktard/Reyes.

Ed Reyes wins hand down. He is missing in action. He is the one person that does absolutely nothing.
If ONLY Ed Reyes were MIA and did absolutely nothing -- but the idiot is hosting the Tamales and Ice Cream event tonight at McArthur Park. With Chief Bratton in tow. The insidious thing is, they're playing it up as a fundraiser for the LAFD, who will get some of the money -- BUT as Channel 7 news showed tonight, it's really a "lead up celebration" to the May 1st rally tomorrow.
Which is about demanding rights for illegals. They interviewed one guy who can't speak English, needed a translator (who spoke poor English himself) to say that he'd be there tomorrow because illegals demand to be legalized NOW without penalties.
There were lots of signs around to that effect, and they interviewed a rep for the "Workers' Social Party" (that's the nice name for Communist party), with fiery speech and demands. Some pock-marked Hispanic you wouldn't want to meet at night.
THEN comes moron Reyes himself, echoing the same stuff, and about how "in this city, everyone has rights, including the undocumented, and we want to let people know that." They're ILLEGAL, moron, and they don't have "rights" to demand that their illegal behavior MUST be rewarded. They can't even speak English or do the jobs we need.
Reyes the moron was saying the same stuff and more last week all over national tv, "explaining" why L A can't repeal SP40 and let the cops ask about illegal status even for gangbangers on the "list" (which Bratton won't let cops see or have access to anyway, except for a few he can trust -- not to check legal status) because "our economy isn't ready for that, all of our community is one, too inter-connected to be separated."
In other words, L A denies there's any difference between citizens and illegals, and is intent on telling the citizens what to do.
ALL OF THIS was covered up in the Times coverage, which only played up the ice cream fundraiser, as though that were the real point.
IF ONLY Reyes were MIA forever.
