Support the passage of "Jamiel's Law"
Powerful, chilling, and a punch of reality.That describes the appearance of the Parents of Jamiel Shaw. A youth of character killed by a illegal alien gang member, on KABC's Doug McIntyer Show this morning.
They were join in studio by Mayoral Candidate Walter Moore, the author of the proposed Jamiel's Law. This law would roll back Special Order 40 protections for illegal alien gang members who commit crimes.
This is common sense reform of Special Order 40 that ironically was implemented to protect illegal aliens who were victims of crime.
Now that the proposed law is on the table for discussion, what will be the responce from the likes of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, Police Chief Bill Bratton, The Police Commission, City Council and Civil Libertarians???
Will the likes of the L.A. Times, Daily News and the various weeklies give column inches to reporting the facts on race related gang killings?
One thing for sure this should and will resonate through the African-American communities and if Mayor Villaraigosa reacts by not reacting, then what is left of our African American communities will have the final reaction on Election Day in 2009.

According to the Times last week, in pie charts accompanying this killing and others, 3X as many blacks are killed by Hispanics as vice versa. But I can see Bratton and the Mayor not wanting to make blacks out to be the total victims, Hispanics all the bad guys.
E.g. a carload of blacks followed a carload of Thais from Hollywood Blvd. onto the 101 Freeway (which is near Thai Town, by the way) and asked them "Where's the party?" and shot at them, killing one victim. That definitely sounds like racial violence, too. So this must go hand in hand with the black community taking responsibility, too.
Today's Daily News talks about someone getting killed in WLA last night at 10:30, not even late. NO details. Recently students walking around westwood have been targets of attempted kidnapping, and several have been robbed. ALL the areas of the city need protection, money can't just continue to flow FROM the westside to the rest of the city. Their gangs are ALL over from Westside to Hollywood. Many westside HOA's are tired of being targeted as "the enemy" by people like Ed Reyes and Jan Perry, with every excuse from the MLK truce to parks to billboards.
Hate crimes against Hispanics are up 30 percent.

Those are intentionally misleading statistics. If the numbers are normalized for changes in the Hispanic population, hate crimes against them have actually DROPPED in recent years.
What a SHOCK a black family whose son was killed by a low-life illegal alien mexican gang member is speaking against illegal immigration.
Did any fool really expect the Shaw family, NOT to speak against all the illegal alien criminal gang members in Los Angeles.

I agree but let's not celebrate too soon. Its possible this family has not heard of Walter Moore and once they hear from the Black and Hispanic leaders they could do an about face. We must wait and see. Don't forget they're in mourning and this might not seem great once they hear from other African-American activists. Today LAPD killed a mexican gang member in Wilminton, who open fire on LAPD gang cops, the gang member 26-year-old David Cedillo, even had kids in the car with him.

Kids are being killed, injured, and victimized by people in the city that have criminal records, convicted of felony crimes, and who are illegal aliens. Before Santuary City status in Los Angeles, convicted felons would serve their prison term and then if identified as illegal aliens would be deported, deemed undesirable to our country. Political correctness has turned common sense on it's head and now convicted felons who are illegal aliens are not deported, but are release back onto our streets. This is wrong.
We have a terrible crime problem in Los Angeles. An innocent young boy, Jamiel Shaw, was killed by a convicted criminal who is an illegal alien. If that criminal was deported after prison, as was police practice before Los Angeles became a Sanctuary City, then Jamiel Shaw would not have been shot and killed as he was.
Please call your Councilmember and urge the passage of Jamiel's Law.

“Jamiel's Law” is a nessessery tool in fighting crime! What do we owe Mexico, as our neighbor to the South, or the Mexican National criminal living in the United States of America? If we truly wanted to help the Worlds less fortunate, why do we not hold out the hand of Mercy to the Sudanese, Haitians, Moldavian, Central American’s, and those starving children of Chad these the huddled masses of these Nations are truly in need? All we hear about is the poor Mexican this, the poor Mexican that! Californians, have invested Millions upon Millions of dollars on its ELL program, there are at least 140,000 of these children in Arizona alone, GOD, knows how many are in our beloved California, and for what? Every other ethnic immigrant group managed to adapt to our American educational system. Is it possible that anyone actually supports NOT getting rid of illegal aliens who are committing these crimes? What should happen to the guy who murdered Jamiel? Go back to jail and let us support his useless ass until it's time to let him out again, and then turn him loose to do the same thing? It's bad enough that we have hundreds of thousands of citizens who are gang members - why would we allow illegal bangers to stay in this country ? What good would it do anyone?
