Ass Clown for the month of March

Somewhere in the world or in the cyber wilderness of the internet, one may find the mystical figure known as "MAYOR FRANK".

Before he left the cyber space known as Mayor Sam Sister City for parts unknown. He created a award that one must ascend, then drop into the depths of deceit to earn. "THE ASS CLOWN AWARD".

Fast forward to April 1, 2008. Past awardees such as Eliot Sekuler and Councilman Jack Weiss are still up to the standards that brought honor on to them.

But the actions of one diminutive council overlord prompts the resumption of Mayor Frank's visionary retrospect on the attributes of our political community.

Thus we award Council District One's Edward Reyes the "ASS CLOWN AWARD WINNER FOR MARCH, 2008"

To pinpoint one action of Ed Reyes as the reason for this award would be insulting Eddie's ability to make himself an ass on a daily basis.

One can start with the obvious, that being his role in the "Las Villas" controversy. When hundreds of your constituents hound you constantly about the numerous state laws that "Las Villas" will violated, this qualifies you as a "ASS CLOWN".

Next, shall we bring up your support of "DRIVE BY PROOF PARKS"?? You cheer the efforts of your planners to design parks that would protect park users from gangland attacks. Yet that didn't help the poor park users regarding the $6,000,000 dollar park on Drew Street in your own district. This qualifies you as a "ASS CLOWN".

The topper is today with your rants against hillside homeowners who dare not allow affordable housing and your density mandates to ruin their communities. Leave this to the Rhodes Scholar of CD 1 to somehow equate density with some symbolic ban on homicides?? BTW, nice how that gang banger from Clover(your district) went down in Glendale. Aggregating all crowns you an "ASS CLOWN".

So Councilman Reyes, we hope by bestowing this award in your honor, the constituents of CD 1 will be inspire to seek that no repeat of this honor comes at the cost to their quality of living.

How many times are you going to post that list botox face with home in foreclosure and hear that no one gives a fuck? Your busted as a racist by the city on the record and Antonio will spank your culo again. Its raw already and you can't afford any more disgrace.

I wondered about how he gets all blurry in the early am. What does Red Spot do when he's not blogging here? Haunt soup kitchens.

Too bad for Higby. He'll never be even as good even as the LA Slimes with his blogging drunks and his blogging bigots and his blogging petrifried chicken squirrel costumed nut.

At the Times they sign their real names to their work. The novelty of anonymous bloggers is OVER. Kevin Roderick signs his real name. Mack Reed signed his real name and threw the petrafried nut under the bus when she faked hers. You will never get even close to that Mayor Sam! But go buy Red Snot a bottle so he can hate against Mexicans again. Tomorrow's another day, or so they say.

I'll vote for Reyes because of what I read earlier here about the park being only 6 years old and besides every response to this good thread is pathetic.

They're all meaningless, mean and bullshit. They are confusing anonymous posters with other anonymous posters until they drive everyone mad.

I remember in the olden days when the ass clown of the month was fun. Now the new posters - the ones with racist agendas and obsessions with squirrel killers - don't even bother to follow the thread. They just type away their nonsense.

It seems to me Jack Weiss won Ass Clown on more than one occasion.

I love how people criticize this blog yet post instead of going someplace else. Reyes needs to be educated. His district is full of illegals and looks like a 3rd world country. Ever been to MacArthur Park? You would think you were in TJ. Yes, Las Villas will haunt Reyes. He gave the owner $1 million and turned on the people for his little fling with Alice. Shame on Reyes. Word is when LA Villas opens there will be tons of protest outside.

right on, red spot! I've been making comments about Reyes' myriad fiacos, that you listed here, and emailed editors at DN and LAT. Maybe there's still a semblance of sanity left out there, before the city must secede just to get away from Reyes. RECALL REYES, if ever anyone deserved it.

Spot, don't worry, all the negatives here clearly come from one guy, the one who blames everything on some sharpei, petrified nut. Truth is, he's scared that the Times and people have caught on to just how incredibly corrupt and stupied Reyes is, and how he must be stopped.

When you get the decent people of Reyes' own district, Hispanics, from parents to nuns, AND his targets: the westside and Zev, all united against him, he can't "Divide and Conquor" (the earlier headline the Times used about his attacks on the Westside over their not wanting Clear Channel/ Rocky's hideous billboards) the people. He can't play the race card, too many levels on which his "ideals" fail utterly, completely, miserably.

Too bad you're ducking out now, Joe, we could really use your help!

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the corrupt Lincoln Heights Council prez David Galaviz? How the hell could they support a liquor license near a school and church? goes to show David wants political payback favors for his bosses at USC Medical. Shame on David, he use to be one of us but now is a lapdog for the politicans. People should storm the next corrupt Lincoln Heights council meeting and ask those idiots how they could turn on the people they're suppose to help.

Got cut off: the "6" at end of prev post URL re: Billboards for Parks, Reyes and Perry ganging up on the "westside" again.

It's a David Zahniser post, the same guy who noted Reyes attacking the hillside federations today. Sounds like he's starting to get on top of the Reyes situation.

(Reyes, Perry, Huizar, Hahn, Parks are also the ones still backing Cardenas over Chick/ Rice/ Mayor/Bratton/ Everyone, on who's in charge of the gang programs.)

Tim Rutten has another blast at Tony in Opinion today -- says Cardenas is doing this to control the funding and who gets what, like he's doing with city bonds. Janice Hahn, of course, figures she's got a better chance ramming her punitive parcel/ property tax down our throats to finance MORE programs that she and Cardenas would run.

NO to this group.

And the cops use homeowner driveways to turnaround in, on their way to somewhere else. (Nice headlights.)

You want to blame any negative comments about this blog on me, so you can go on living in denial about things around here and go on thinking Zuma is gone and everything is hunky-dory. Hate to break it to you pal, not everyone is as thrilled about things around here as you are. Look around at the comments and just pretend that someone else may have posted the criticism.

AND REMEMBER TO CHECK INTO LA Daily Blog.com for all the news before it happens.

But keep spinning me bro, I got nothing but blog space to promote! And now that you have caused me to not give a shit about posting whatever I want, whenever I want here on the comment section...you're gonna wish I was being more mindful of the situation as I have been until now.

So start comparing my degree of postings here, discussing the issues I blog about with the way it was before your false crybaby spinning.

Even a liberal blog is calling that idiot "TJ in the Hills Reyes."

Then they mention "Tijuana Huizar."

And let's not forget, "The Zorro Marxist" Las Lomas Alarcon. AND the one the Daily News says is "acting like a street thug" Tony Cardenas. (

Tim Rutten lays into him today too, says he's just trying to control the funding and keep his connections to the gang programs and gangbangers, and one of the blogs says he's tight with the gangbanging two-timers at L A Bridges and other programs.)

Yeah, these four plus our first- ever Latino City Attorney, Rocktard are shining beacons for the Latino politicians.

You'd think the morons would be aware that everyone is looking at them, as the first generation to take control of the council over whites (especially when they team up with the three blacks, as they do on density issues and anything to do with Take from the Westside and Bash Them for Not Luuving the TJ in Bel Air Concept.) Can't they see that if the Latinos and blacks just brought Glassell Park and Watts to Bel Air, the whole city would just live happily ever after and all of our problems would be solved? Morons.

Where are we going to get a Jack Ass for the award, now that Hoff is gone?

But Red Spot is seriously onto something here -- putting projects like Glassell Park and Watts into Bel Air, Brentwood and on top of Pacific Palisades is literally insane.

Far crazier than anything MAV is doing with his patrons Broad, Riordan and the rest of them. Even if they end up being boondoggles, they're not designed by intent to destroy civilization as we know it.
