Voting in Sherman Oaks

LA County has yet to process my change of address so I'm voting on the old hood tonight.

As soon as they find out you're a Republican the poll workers turn nasty. Also, there are more Democratic booths available than Republican booths.

Interestingly LOTS of ink residue on the No On S hole.

If you look at the total voter counts across the nation, you will see that Democrats are outnumbering GOP voters by a wide margin. More Democrat voter booths just means that they are being efficient and accommodating the
larger turnout.

Uh-Oh, Prop S is winning!

With $270 million at stake for Los Angeles, early exit polling today indicated city voters are widely supporting a controversial 9 percent telephone users tax measure.

According to a Loyola Marymount University exit poll of 1,700 voters in 50 precincts across the city and the San Fernando Valley, Measure S appeared to be passing by a wide margin.

"I don't want to call the election but ... it looks like an easy victory (for Measure S)," said Fernando Guerra, the director of the Leavey Center for the Study of Los Angeles at the university.

Torrance, PV, El Segundo, South Redondo and Manhattan Beach are probably the only places where Republican voters are greeted with a smile. Long live the South Bay !

The republicans made a big mistake not allowing NP's to vote for Republicans.

Walter Moore was outspent 3 million to one, and still got 35% of the vote. That is his base for the mayor's race -- and he will build! He will not let illegals vote!!

9:10 is delusional. Moore is DOA.

I was shocked at the turnout at my voting place, they were afraid they were going to run out of ballots they're were so many people there, almost all Democratic , the line to vote snaked around and around because there was no more room.
It was like a pep rally and even some Republicans I knew were voting for the Democrat's.
Everyone one adamant in there desire for a change and the distrust and lack of faith in the Bush Administration.
Looks like the Republicans are in big big trouble come election time.
So the Republicans only chance is for a dirty personal attack on whoever the Democrats decide on.
I'd bet it's going to get real ugly.

Registered Republicans could not have possibly voted for a Democrat in this primary in LA Couny.

I hate when people make stuff up out of nowhere.

I wonder how many of those democrats voting were illegal mexicans?

And would a mexican vote for a black man which many racist mexicans refer to a mayate. The racist mexicans will even say a mayate is june bug, it's just shameless and ignorant.

I still remember the ex-mexican president famous comment about mexicans even doing work the blacks won't do. Thhere is also the in-famous black character "Memin Pinguin" on a stamp with black-face and big lips.

They were it seems ex Republicans who sickened by 8 years of Bush/Republican rule have re-registered as Democrats. I am hearing the same thing from many of my old Anglo ex Republican friends.

Seems that many Latino Democrats across the country voted for Obama, I know I and my wife did. But we will vote for whomever the Democrat running for President, and I think that is the general rule across the country no matter what the ethnicity.

By the way how many "illegal aliens" were busted voting?

And I wonder how many old dead Republicans voted absentee ballot?

An old Repub trick used for many years, and who are now pointing the finger at the Democrats, hilarious.

What is true amongst Republican, Democrat, and Non Partisan voters is everybody wants change.

Many people were not as enthusiastic about all choices, and decided at the last minute.

The election process in CA is an embarrassment. And so are most of our elected officials.
