DEVELOPING: Election Day Shadiness in Los Angeles?

The Drudge Report states that election materials were not delivered on time to multiple polling places through out Los Angeles. No further details, stay tuned.

LAist reports various problems such as Ink-A-Vote readers malfuctioning, poll workers not understanding primary ballot procedures, polls opening late, etc.

If you notice any shadiness, corruption, mistakes, irregularaties, etc. post it here!

When you have sleazy campaign people like Parke, Ace, Truijllo, Antonio, Molina and the rest of the corrupt Latinos all working today mind you on our tax dollars for Hillary you know there is going to be something shady. They don't know how to run an HONEST campaign. They are dirty to the core. Ace is an asshole and knew that Hillary was leading Obama two months ago in double digits. Guess what? he's not only caught up but a point or two ahead. I am praying that Karma is a bitch and they all get their just deserve and the honest one Obama who kept his head up after being attached wins.

""""We always knew that it was going to be close," said Ace Smith, Clinton's campaign director in California. Smith said Clinton was mounting a major statewide effort Monday and today, including the use of 5,000 precinct workers to get her supporters to the polls.

PLUS THEY HAVE ALL THE COUNCIL STAFFER AND ANTONIO'S STAFF WORKING TODAY INSTEAD OF DOING THEIR JOBS THAT WE PAY THEM FOR.

Yup, the poll workers didn't have a clue. Some "undeclared" voter came in at 7:30 asking what he should do and it took six of them to read the manual, and provide him with three different opinions about what should happen next.

If we're lucky, by the time the general elections takes place, we'll have poll observers from El Salvador, Iraq, and Belgium (led by Jimmy Carter), checking us all to make sure there's no cheating or stupid mistakes.

What did Obama say at the debates?

"None of us up here is clean, Hillary," didn't even try to deny the allegations. Tried some cheezy flip attack about Hillary sitting on a Wal Mart Board (where she spoke up about insisting they pay their workers well and altho WAl Mart is a Democrats' favorite target, they pay better than their rivals in general). So those who think Obama is a Saint, when it comes closer to the general election if he gets that far, stuff will come out of the closets.

He makes experience sound "like leprosy," as Richardson said, because he hasn't got any. Stupid electorate to think empty dreams and "vision" and "poetry" and fancy black-preacher talk he got at his racist/anti-Semitic Trinity United Church, trumps real experience. He claims credit for civil rights work but it was Bill and Hill who were there in the trenches back in the day.

The poster who calls her "the old hag" is typical of the "high class" slimeballs who are trying to turn her into the witch of the west.

I'm not a Democrat for economic reasons, but I hate stupidity and if you look at their issues and track record, she's "less bad" than Obama from a Republican viewpoint -- check out today's immigration "blowback" blog in the L A Times today, where I agree with the conservative guy on that. Know what you're talking about, people.

Chief Dan Matthew's of the Highway Patrol learns that phony votes are being smuggled into the Los Angeles area in a unique way - under the hubcaps of innocent people's cars. When they reach their destination, the phony votes are taken by local drug pushers dressed as precinct officer's. Efforts to trace the phony votes back to its source lead Dan to the fashionable Bonaventure hotel. His undercover work there fails, and Dan must use less subtle methods - including a fast bout with a can opener- to get the evidence that incriminates and deactivates the vote rigging ring.

..L.A. CITY ATTORNEY CALLS UPON CA SECRETARY OF STATE, COUNTY REGISTRAR. TO ADDRESS “DOUBLE BUBBLE” VOTER CONFUSION LINKED TO COUNTY BALLOT
Delgadillo Seeks to Ensure Every L.A. Vote Is Counted

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo today issued the following statement in the wake of numerous reports of wide-spread non-partisan voter confusion over Los Angeles County’s “double bubble” voter ballot:

“I have heard numerous reports from voters throughout the City of Los Angeles which point to wide-spread voter confusion over Los Angeles County’s so-called ‘double-bubble’ Decline-to-State non-partisan voter ballot. We understand this ballot is unique to the County of Los Angeles.

“In light of these reports, I am calling upon Secretary of State
Debra Bowen and L.A. County Registrar Dean Logan to review the
county’s unique and potentially confusing ballot design.

“It would be unfortunate if non-partisan voters, confused by the
county’s unique “double bubble” ballot design, did not have their
vote counted.

All those of you that are pro Clinton either you ignore the truth or you are as corrupt as they are. Or maybe you think that the truth is so incredible that it can’t be truth. You cannot continue to be naïve. If this country is to survive you need to learn the truth. Newspapers tell you only what they are allowed to tell you. The media is controlled, you need to find the facts by other sources. Google the Clinton Chronicles, it is imperative that we all learn the truth about our leaders and do something otherwise we are doom.

Alright, so things didn't turn out to be so easy for Hillary and her mighty political machine. Can't blame her though...who would have thought "Mr. Perfect Public Speaker" would suddenly emerge. And it doesn't matter who is better, or more prepared on day one...America is way to shallow to try and figure that out. And Barack is the most exciting speaker to come around in anyone's life, under 45, or so.

So whaddaya gonna do? Oh well. At least you can take comfort in knowing there wasn't much you could do about this.

Justin Levitt, an election attorney for the Brennan Center for Justice and a coordinator at a Election Protection Hotline call center in Los Angeles, said voters had reported a number of problems, mostly involving complaints that they had registered with one party, but discovered this morning they were sent ballots from a different party, or are registered with another party.

"It's a problem we've noticed particularly in Los Angeles County," Levitt said.

A few polls opened a little late after poll workers showed up and found the buildings locked.

NO ISSUE AT ISSUE, JUST DRUDGE BURGER FILLER.
According to state law, candidates or a candidate's representative, such as someone wearing a sign, have to stay 75-feet away from polling places "on the day of any primary".

The daughter of the Democratic presidential candidate was delivering a box of coffee to poll workers and talking with a firefighter in New Haven. According to a News Channel 8 photographer who was there, when the moderator announced that the polls are open, Clinton immediately went outside.

"I did not consider it an issue because she didn't come here, as far as I'm concerned, to influence anything here or disrupt us," said New Haven election moderator Nilda Torres.

I worked a West SF Valley precinct yesterday, and it was screwed up from 6am to 9pm. The InkaJet scanner jammed on the third ballot, could not be repaired or replaced, so it was not used. That didn't matter much as it doesn't count votes, and after we closed, we looked at each ballot and they all "appeared" okay, i.e. not smeared, but people could have double-voted, candidates or measures, and we wouldn't see that visually.

The main problem was voters being assigned incorrect party registrations, sometimes our registers say one party and the voters' sample ballots (mailed to the home) giving a different party. A lot of long-time party members were surprised to be given another affiliation suddenly with this election. One precinct captain said to give a ballot for the party on the sample ballot mailed to their home, but our table inspector called the county registrar and got the party affiliation from the original affidavit or had the voter talk to the registrar over the phone.
The non partisans were pretty weird too, with a lot of people claiming to be in a party but being designated NP. Some weird sample ballots gave people registrations in A.I. Lib, P&F and Green parties simultaneously! I still do not understand those...

There were a lot of stupid voters who didn't know where they were or where they were supposed to be, or really what they were doing! We tried to direct them to their apparent correct polling place but they couldn't find their ass in the dark, much less a church down the street.
One couple had no idea what the issues were and had to sit down and read the information (the woman explaining to the man the meaning of big words like "Taxes" and "Terms") after this long, complicated process of filling out a provisional ballot (we had LOTS, I mean like many, mucho plenty lotsa provisional ballots, whew)

After all the mind-bending hassles and conflicts between our officials, it was gratifying to see so many people from all over the world, legally and happily volting, many for the first time.
I wanted to dye their thumbs purple, but maybe next time.
