This is the city: Los Angeles, California. I work here. I'm an ex-mayor. Los Angeles is a magnet for people from all over the world. Some of them run for public office. Inevitably some of them stray from the golden rule and rule for those that have the gold. That's when I go to work. My name is Yorty. I'm a dead pol.

if you check back on Mayor Sam, this press office has never released policy statements with so little time between posts. never.
therefore, 7.28, 7.29, and 7.32 are obvious attempts to defraud you.
and obviously a very shady tactic from a no on S campaigner.
tsk tsk. the shadiness is all encompassing.
the deputy posted the video links at 7.18, and till now, we posted nothing.

Voters in Pasadena are probably thinking about the contentious presidential race when they go to the polls tomorrow. It would be very easy to overlook a new tax hike scheme buried down the ballot. But just because big things are going on across the country, we can’t forget the threats to our freedoms in our own backyards.
The proposal called Measure D is nothing more than a new tax that is bad for taxpayers and consumers in Pasadena. Tomorrow, vote No on Measure D.
If Measure D passes, it would mean a new tax on the communications products you have come to depend on like text messaging and the internet. And you can be certain, if Pasadena wins the chance to tax their residents more, other California municipalities will be sure to follow.
Piling on more taxes isn’t “modernization.” It’s a serious step backwards for Pasadena. Unions and politicians will be out in full force tomorrow supporting the new tax; it is essential that freedom advocates come out stronger to defeat this tax.

we're actually very amused by the attention.
and speaking of casinos, let's give Matt Dowd a casino license. He'll audit his own books, and promise to give more than his fair share to the State government.
and no term limit on the time Matt Dowd can be in City Hall.
