The Strike is Finally Over!
The WGA has just voted to end the 3 month plus strike that has crippled this company town!
The strike not only affected the writers, but it very deeply affected the "below the line" crew members, of which I am one. While the writers may have made well deserved gains in regards to revenues related to the internet and other media formats, the rest of us gain nothing, but a chance to get back to work. For that, we are grateful. Many of us have watched our savings dwindle and our homes face foreclosure. Congratulations to the WGA for their victory, and I certainly hope that if our unions ever have to go on strike, you will be there to support us, as we have supported you, for what now seems like an eternity.

and Zuma Dogg broke it first, we read it on the Mayor Sam blog last Friday.
We never questioned it once, let's just say that we know that Big ZD don't make those big calls unless he's right.

so, he acknowledges the 'scoop' factor at that time. but upon closer inspection, the title of Zuma's thread in fact says "sources say writers strike will end".
so quite clearly other sources are acknowledged.

10:08, So you admit I broke the story before Daily News, even though I didn't say they got it from me. I'm sure they waited until it came across the newswire like everyone else.
If every other blog around town had it, too, good for every other blog.

But I am curious, so please show me the date of any of the blogs or newspapers that posted that the strike was settled before my post.
To be honest, you should be able to find posts from Thursday, cause that's when I found out...so I'm sure others did, too. I just didn't post it until Friday morning. Cause, I don't really post things to try and beat other media.
I just post stuff as it comes to my attention. I wasn't even going to post it -- because it's such a mainstream announcement, but when I still hadn't seen that news elsewhere -- the next morning, I decided to post it.
I'm not TRYING to break news stories. But sometimes that happens. (Especially since the newspapers don't cover the stuff people really want to read about.)
But you are claiming I DID NOT have it a day or two before everyone else, so please post the evidence, or shut the f*ck up you jealous b*tch.
And thanks for admitting I had it before the newspapers, loser.
And Matt, for the record, that crybaby who said, "You said tomorrow, and it didn't happen"...the moron posted that comment on the same day that I posted the thread. So it wasn't "tomorrow" yet, it was still "today". Because I posted it very early in the morning, to boot. So when the nutcase went to bed in the early morning hours and woke up in the afternoon, it was still the same day. (LOL!) But that meant my prediction didn't come true in his mentally ill eyes.
(You can see why this person is constantly frustrated.)

zuma, you don't know sarcasm even when it bites you in this ass. Must not be the only thing that bites you in the butt on those chill nights in the van so I guess you're used to it.
Some people read you just because you're a piece of work, but if anyone turns to you for news or financial advice, they deserve what the get.
