HEY DAILY NEWS…It’s 28%, not 23%. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY NEWSPAPERS IN LOS ANGELES KEEP PRINTING FALSE NUMBERS. WHY IS EVERYONE TRYING TO “MINIMIZE”/”SOFTEN THE BLOW” TO L.A. TAXPAYERS???
First the papers say, “13%”. Zuma Times was saying, “more like 25%”. (And I had to use “at least 25%” at some point because I saw it was heading even higher .)
Maybe Council (and the newspapers) were being “shady minimizers” because a 28% increase, with the budget in the shape it is in (and no comparison made to private industry) is kinda living in denial.
So remember, whether you are a City Council member in the dark, or a newspaper reporter embarrassing their publisher and medium, in general, with lazy, shoddy, half-ass, inaccurate, shady-minimizing reporting; and you need credible, accurate information – before it happens – contact: Zuma Dogg of ZumaTimes.com. (And perhaps an apology for being so wrong, and having to copy ZD’s homework, or who knows how long they would keep getting it wrong, and “minimizing” the truth.)
