Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Friday

Job security could be assured for Antonio Villar's favorite fellow Mirthala banger Fabian Nunez. This monster "Son of Proposition R" has to be rushed on to the February Presidential Primary ballot so folks like the Mirthala banger, State Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata and backstabbing nanny bachelor boy Lloyd Levine can hope to run for one more term. Sure there is apparently lots of funny business going on with regards to the signature gathering but its likely the big boys with their big money and big attorneys will keep this train on track. What's the purpose of voting anymore?

We told you this before but there are two words that scare the bejesus out of gubernatorial hopeful, sex scandal plagued Mayors Tweedledum and Tweedledummer also known as SF's Gavin Newsom and LA's Antonio Villar. Boi From Troy mentions those two words: Jerry Brown. Anyone ready for the Governor Moonbeam: The Final Chapter?

A letter writer to the Daily News makes a good point. Unlike Hillary Clinton and other political wives who stand by their philandering man, Corina Raigosa got while the getting was good. Smart lady.

And finally, I don't really care about the meat of this story (some kind of government regulation of mortgage lending) but the term LaRouche Youth Movement cracked me up.

Re: Jerry Brown

If Jerry Brown was a house in one of those old Democratic neighborhoods, he would have a solid foundation, good pipes and floors, but not a lot of curb appeal.

The next gubernatorial candidate for the Dems has to not only capture the CA public's imagination, but look good on TV. Poor Phil Angelides came off like a used car salesman. And -- okay, I'll say it -- having super-sized ears didn't help.

My money is on Garamendi or Westly.

Westly is the same as the pretty-boy husband of Elizabeth the cancer survivor - cum vote sympathy getter.

What's his name? Oh, yeah, Edwards. Westly-Edwards, slightly to the right of Castro-Chavez, just cuter.

And no, the big ears don't help Angelides, he's toast.

If you want photogenic, cute wife, smart and electable...?

Mayor Sam, a bachelor himself, can't seem to decide which is worse - or better - Lloyd Levine being a bachelor (he keeps grumbling about it as if it's some kind of life liability), or MAV and others being married philanderers. Maybe if all politicians were in Mayor Sam's solo boat, he'd finally cut them some slack and stop trying to make their marital status a prima facie issue.

At least bachelors can't step out on their wives, Mayor Sam. Look in the mirror and give us all a break!

Interesting Newsome came out of his affair and press a hell of a lot better then our midget gang banging Mayor. Someone please tell Antonio they left the black dye on his hair too long. Its too obvious. They refuse to learn how to speak ENGLISH

....The greatest challenges are faced by our most vulnerable population: English learners, or "EL" students. Of the more than 700,000 students in district schools, more than 40% don't speak English as their native language. Of those, 94% are Spanish speakers, and the vast majority are native-born U.S. citizens. The NCLB's ill-conceived mandates have set up these students and their schools to fail together. Under the law, if any demographic group in a given school isn't making "adequate yearly progress," the entire school is subject to a list of unproven and inefficient "corrective actions" that could ultimately result in a state takeover of the facility.

Does anyone else think the timing of the lawsuits idiot Carol Sobel is filing on behalf of all the illegals comes on the same day the City Attorney tells LAPD go ahead and impound all those asshole illegal driver's cars???? Guaranteed its payback. Why didn't they file last week. Very disappointed in David Z not reporting the whole truth of the story and only briefly one comment from LAPD. He's usually a lot better. Could the LA SLIMES be getting to him????

(Hint: Its because the moron tried out for that TV show.)

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen (removes hat and bows low with flourish):

As you all know, there are 7 of us who take turns being Captain Jack Sparrow. Two of us are registered Democrats. Two are registered Republicans. One is a registered American Independent, one Green, one Libertarian. This week I (the Green) am Captain Jack Sparrow, and after having a rather interesting conversation with the two Republicans, I've decided to call a vote for even pirates respect democracy, savvy? All right then, show of hands to allow one of the Republicans to be Captain for the day. (Counts raised hands) All yea with no exceptions. Carry on then, Captain Sparrow. (Steps down and allows other Captain Jack Sparrow to step up)

(Captain Jack clears throat) Thank you my good man. Now here is the thing that I would like to bring to your attention. And I bring it not because I am a Republican but because I protest the very idea of the proposed motion, if you will, because it is unfair, unAmerican and most certainly undemocratic even for Republicans, savvy?

There is a young man named Michael Jackson who has what I think to be a reasonable request and that is the publishing of meeting agendas and the Executive Committee membership list. Mr. Jackson has aided pirates in the past and has proven to be a rather good egg; we respect him and his attempt to make changes where change is a dirty word. It is my opinion that there have been many times within the past several years where business is done without a proper quorum, if you will, and done so in a shady, underhanded manner, savvy? Mr. Jackson seeks to propose a change to the local bylaws to force a concept quite foreign to the Powers That Be in Commerce; that concept is TRANSPARENCY. Here is what the Powers That Be have in mind for Mr. Jackson.

From: Mike Spence
Sent: Thursday, September 06, 2007 12:02 AM
To: 'Michael A Jackson for State Assembly'
Cc: Linda Boyd
Subject: Official Censure Resolution Notice

Michael. This is the official notice that the Executive Board has recommended that you be censured at the Sept 13th. I want to try to accommodate your schedule and give you a hearing in before the rules committee. Call me about scheduling a conference call for Monday.

Resolution of Censure of Michael A. Jackson

Whereas, pursuant to RPLAC By-laws Article---, Section---, and the Standing Rule on Censure passed by the Executive Committee in June 2007, the RPLAC Executive Board has unanimously referred RPLAC Member Michael A Jackson to the Rules and Bylaws Committee for consideration of Censure, and

Whereas, Michael Jackson's disruptive conduct at RPLAC meetings in 2007 has hindered the orderly conduct of Republican Party business, and tended to bring the reputation of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County into disrepute, and

Whereas, Mr. Jackson's frivolous parliamentary maneuvers served no useful purpose, but did embarrass RPLAC in front of Republican legislative and state party leaders,
Therefore Be It Resolved, that the RPLAC Rules and Bylaws Committee unanimously joins the Executive Board in recommending that the RPLAC Executive Committee censure Member Michael A. Jackson for his inappropriate and unprofessional conduct as a Member of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County.

Linda S. Boyd
Chairman
Republican Party of Los Angeles County
6055 E. Washington Blvd., Suite 290
Commerce, CA 90040
Office (323) 215-4505, ext. 1000

(Crew shakes head and rolls eyes after reading e-mail. Captain smiles and speaks) Aside from this notice being defective for not stating the Article and Section number of the Bylaw that was allegedly violated, it is also poorly thought out. For those who are that self-important, attention to detail is NOT a strong suit, savvy?

Furthermore, what conduct has the Executive Committee engaged in that would allow themselves to be embarrassed by someone who merely wants to introduce a proposed rule that requires transparency? I am of the opinion that it is conduct unbecoming and THAT is the reason for embarrassment. And what conduct is that? Rushing to censure without pursuing an alternative resolution is proof of sneakiness, shadiness and out and out ill will. (Whispers) Word to the wise, don't do whatever it is you do, which, if you will, is not anything that inspires trust and confidence, savvy?

Know what I think? I think any Republican who has a pulse should most certainly attend the meeting on September 13th (which is usually held at Luminarias Restaurant near the junction of the I-710 and I-10 freeways) and protest what is tantamount to an attempt to evade an honest request for a little transparency. As for Master Spence, those of you who will be attending the Convention this weekend can tell the big windbag that Captain Jack tips his hat to him. As a matter of fact, one of the Five will be there and perhaps a few pirates might go along as well, savvy? (Looks down nose) As for the Boyds, the ship they are on is fast losing its wind. Let Neptune do what he will with them.

(Smiles gleefully and whispers) As if being a Republican in this town isn't embarrassing enough, savvy? Perhaps we should call out the Dogg on the Boyds? Yes, let's.

Newsome had an affair with the wife of a trusted advisor and associate, while the Mayor had one with a woman whose worst crime is being a serial dater of poltiicians, so there's no logical reason to claim Newscome came out "better." Still, I don't think that is a contest that either of them will want to get into, so going up against each other is pretty safe in that regard. As for Jerry, he now has a wife who's a trusted advisor, but he's had a pretty "interesting" past himself. Doubt he'll go there either.

Obama is being called by some, like George Clooney, "a rock star" among politicians, just as MAV was. That's a backhanded compliment, as it turns out, and is always applied only to ethnics. It sets them up on a pedestal, so that if they show even one human foible, they get knocked down a lot more than your average white guy would have been.

Obama may be stable in his marriage but there might be something else to find out about him. Seems' he's been fudging his past educational pedigree a bit, he's pretty dim on foreign affairs, and his achilles heel seems his naivite and apparent arrogance, since he's not listening to advisors on foreign affairs to judge by his blundering comments.

It's time to judge them all, black, brown or white, by the issues only.

Happened upon this while trying to research if Pete Wilson is the only big-city CA mayor to take the governorship. Maybe MS or Mr. M. will chime in?

With the exception of a recall prediction, this final paragraph seemed pretty on-target for where the statewide Republican party currently stands in the Legislature.

From CalNews.com August 16, 2002:

"All we have left is the Party of George Deukmejian, Pete Wilson, Dan Lungren, William Simon Jr. and his rabid anti-Mexican supporters who, every day, are smaller and smaller in number and will soon be as powerless and extinct as the California Republican Party."

Raoul Lowery Contreras (Republican Poitical Analyst)

Just thought it of interest...

September 07, 2007 2:19 PM

But don't forget Pete was a senator first. And San Diego was a City Manager-run government, where the mayor had little power. Remember when Jerry Brown smirkily asked Wilson during their Senate debate about some obscure UN resolution on Namibia? That was a great moment when Wilson answered the question, and Jerry was crestfallen.

Please don't say that. Don't make me have to run. I just don't think the Dept of Safety would allow that to happen. The Governor would have to step in to over-ride the vote in the name of State safety. The President would have to step in to veto the election in the name of national security.

How about Councilmembers Curly and Moe.

4:50am,

I don't know what you refer to with the "dozen letters" and whatnot, but "dumpin' on the Mayor and Mexicans" are two separate issues. In other words, to dump on the mayor, does not mean you are dumping on "Mexicans". It means you are dumping on the mayor -- who does not represent Mexicans. Only himself and his business partnerns.

To dump on the mayor, is actually to dump on a very diverse group of corporate board members, billionaires, former elected official, current elected officials of all diverse backgrounds.

To dump on the mayor, is to dump on one dispicable man who is DEFINITELY going down in "history" as he is always proclaiming "historical" partnerships and collaborations. However, I think the history may include a final "Federal" chapter. (And I don't mean higher office.)

They're gonna find out
Who's been naughty or nice.
RICO men are coming to town!"

"They know with whom you're sleeping,
They know who's on the take.
They know if you've been doin' wrong -
That your hands will start to shake."
