He also likes to post anonymously on his own blog articles, posting the most horrendous slanderous items in order to "get the blog rolling." What people will do for a traffic rating and a few bucks worth of advertising revenue.
The news that has yet to break is that all of the parolees were fired yesterday. Boks hired them without permission. But he told Council he had permission. And they were all fired yesterday. Now the dogs all face immediate death.
Your cred is based on your personal interactions with people, not what people say about you.
There are some scribes in town too who harass and intimidate to get their way. Their shine wears thin too.

It's so disgusting and nauseating to see him sitting there with the little boy on National Night Out, trying to fool us into thinking he's such a caring, sincere, down-to-earth mayor...No photo can blind us from the reality....that he's just a lying, pathetic weasal and media whore who should resign or get recalled. I wonder if anyone jeered or booed him at this gathering. Isn't it ironic, that Mayor Villar is a Media Whore and Mirthala is a Whore in the Media???

I'm not buying it; I think you're framing something in a way that overstates whatever truly went on. A lot of people pass around overheated or bullying exchanges; I've become kind of a clearing-house for them, in fact, I suppose because I don't hit the forward-button more than about twice a year. I've never had one arrive involving Higby though; I've never had one saying, "Look what he said!"
It's also pretty charitable of him, don't you think, not to delete your comments; this blog has a history of letting comments run to the fullest extent possible, which is one of the reasons it's so valuable: you can look inside of people's heads, even when what's inside their heads is not so nice.
I bet the mayor & Laura Chick were PO'd about the Marcus Allen story. That must be why no coverage of Laura Chick today. No big. I guess it wasn't the "REAL" Marcus Allen though. NEW YORK (Map, News) - Wall Street's deepening fears about a spreading credit crunch sent stocks plunging again Thursday, with the Dow Jones industrials extending their series of triple-digit swings and falling more than 380 points. The catalyst for the market's latest skid: a French bank's announcement that it was freezing three funds that invested in U.S. subprime mortgages.
The announcement by BNP Paribas raised the specter of a widening impact of U.S. credit market problems. The idea that anyone - institutions, investors, companies, individuals - can't get money when they need it unnerved a stock market that has suffered through weeks of volatility triggered by concerns about tight credit and bad subprime mortgages.
A move by the European Central Bank to provide more cash to money markets intensified Wall Street's angst. Although the bank's loan of more than $130 billion in overnight funds to banks at a low rate of 4 percent was intended to calm investors, Wall Street saw it as confirmation of the credit markets' problems. In Wall Street, stock prices fell this morning. Dow Jones plunged by more than 300 points. The reason, subprime mortgage concerns. A French bank said it was going to freeze three funds it had invested in U.S. subprime mortgages because it just could not tell how much they were worth. Financial planners tell KLTV 7 subprime lenders help those with low credit scores, or those who don't qualify for loans from mainstream lenders.
"You have the tendency these days, whether people are buying new cars or new homes, they want as much as they can get, but the primary concern is how little can that monthly payment be," said Focus Financial, Financial Planner Jack Jones. "The problem comes when it comes to refinance, or have to up that monthly payment. A lot of people have simply not budgeted that in and are not able to make that increase payment." For the average investor, Focus Financial Groups says today's plunge is nothing to worry about, as long as their money is spread out.

It is indeed possible, 11:44--but far-fetched. You have to consider the remote possibility that she could win and that some animal people will quietly root for her to win. The laanimalfriends.eponym.com blog belonging to Mary Cummins is a ugly dark zone. IMO, one can liken the blog to an irrational sniper trying to harass/intimidate and pick off the innocent at 100 feet. Anyone who "spams their crap" at laanimalfriends.eponym.com probably is a kooky as Mary Cummins is. It makes perfect sense that Ed Boks did not "force" her to do that blog. It's not his style.
