L.A. Mayoral Campaign Radio Ads Start Monday!

That may seem a long way away, but the various candidates running for president have been campaigning for months, have participated in two debates, and have raised over $150 million in contributions.
In March 2009, just four months after the presidential election, America's second-largest city, which now has a population of over 4 million, will chose a new mayor -- preferably yours truly
So I hope you won't think I'm "jumping the gun" when you hear the first radio ads in that campaign starting Monday on KABC AM 790's "McIntyre in the Morning" show.
Thanks to the generous support of people like you who pay attention to local politics, I'm already able to spread the word using the airwaves. The goal is to raise the first $150,000 ASAP, because that's the minimum required for matching funds and a guaranteed spot in the televised debates. Once we raise $150,000, I believe even the L.A. Times will have to let its readers know about my campaign.
At the risk of sounding like Jerry Lewis during his telethon, or those NPR announcers during those annoying pledge drives: if you haven't contributed yet, please do so today. The sooner we hit the $150,000 mark, the sooner we'll be able to reach ALL of L.A.'s voters, not just voters who pay close attention to the daily train-wreck we call "City Hall."

BTW, I hope one of the first things you do if elected mayor is to order your police chief to evict the foreign gang scum from MacArthur Park, and then investigate the illegal aliens who wear bandanas, incite violence, and throw rocks at the police.

Get all the actual voters out to vote for themselves and please keep a keen eye on those ballots, those workers who handle the voting and those individuals who verify the voters credentials for voting. History has proven, things that have been all the way on the off-side where those who did not have the voting credentials or those who were not even citizens of the country voted and got their candidate elected. Detailed scrutiny of the process is a must.

Is it possible that a large number of non-citizens can register to vote? How hard is it? Non citizens have everything else that is phoney; licenses, insurance, solial security cards, etc?

Dont you have to prove you were born in this company with a birth certificate in order to be certified by LA. County Registar. If that doesnt work to keep the polls legal we should be able to use the computer system they use when you are legally coming into the country ; on aircraft, ships, etc. The Feds give us food, housing, schools...maybe they can sell or give us a copy of their program. it would be money well spent.
Antonio Villaraigosa will note be re-elected. HE might have the money not the votes.
After the MTA fare hikes go up , not only the mayor , but every city council member is in danger of not being re-elected ever again.

On another note , we will also have to fight for more bike paths where motorists can't run us over.

Take a look at my platform re traffic. I call for, among other things: i) eliminating the fares to ride buses, i.e., "free" bus rides; and ii) replacing certain parking lanes on some streets with "two-wheel only" lanes for bicycles, scooters, motorcycles and Segways.
These are simple, affordable, practical ways to get traffic moving faster NOW.

Walter, you can win the election if you campaign on 2 issues:
1.) Declare LA a NON-sanctuary city; and,
2. Rescind Special Order 40!!!
You will have to hire a new police chief who will support you in this endeavor, but it can be done!
The police chief has the sole authority to rescind SO 40...doesn't need the approval of city council or anyone else!
We have AT LEAST 1 to 2 million illegals in LA county, and if they are NOT allowed to vote...you can win! There is not one non-hispanic who would vote for another Mexican again. Guaranteed!
Villaraigosa's press conference was PATHETIC! Not one word for context about the bandana-wearing violent illegal scum who provoked the cops and started the skirmish that all the Mexican illegal alien groups and media are whining about.
Villariagosa is an extremely ethnocentric politician who will never have national appeal. He just gave a big f-u to the remaining non-Mexican taxpaying citizens of LA.

Be sure and play up the fact that 100 Mexican trucking companies are going to be sending 1000's of trucks onto our freeways in a few weeks. LA is now the worst city in the nation for smog....and having these illegal truckers coming here will be a catastrophe!

I agree those trucks will be a disaster. However, I don't think there's anything the Mayor can do about that, per se. I don't want to promise anything I can't deliver.
The good news is, I CAN deliver on revoking Special Order 40 immediately, and working WITH federal authorities to enforce the laws -- rather than continuing the current policy of aiding and abbeting the violation of the laws our elected officials have sworn to uphold.
Villaraigosa is toast, politically. Unlike 2005, 2009 is gonna be interesting.
I know about the Mexico to Canada Highway that has been approved; unfortunately they cant avoid LA County. They can drive though, undocumented, to stay here, only the time it takes to drive from San Diego to Canada, and the route is predominately in a low population area. But we all know " there enough people to regulate the roads" as says as ICS, the local police, the state police or any other control. Once they drive in they will go anywhere.
Why didn't fabian and nativo ask Antonio to be fired when his staff violated taxpayer's rights.
