Is Los Angeles City Hall Under Investigation, and if so, by whom?

ZD started hearing rumors over the winter holidays that Los Angeles City Council is under investigation for all the reasons the pueblos have been warning you about. Appears as though there are more than one simultaneous investigations by more than one office. I notice a certain Councilmember practically whispers when you talk to him these days (fear of being caught on tape?), and people have been saying things to ZD like, "I have no knowledge of the situation..."; and a bunch of other stuff you say when you are concerned everyone is wearing a wire. I was aksed not to mention this, over the winter holidays, so as not to allow any shady politicians to cover their tracks. Then, I heard some additional rumors, about a separate investigation -- and now, I've been hearing it all over the place, like Britney Spears gossip. So when ZD hears something like this, from multiple sources -- it's time for a public vetting. Since I've only been observing for the past year, is this the same ol' shiznit that is always going on...or is this noteworthy buzz out of the rumor mill?

COMING NEXT: Did you know that if you are a big law firm like O'Melveny & Myers or Latham & Watkins, if you are representing the City of Los Angeles, you cannot represent other companies in lawsuits. For example, if you represent the City, you cannot also represent SEMPRA or LUCENT in a lawsuit where the City is a defendant (or vica vesa). Oh no...Zuma Dogg's BAT COMPUTER shows potential conflict of interests in this matter. I guess neither one of these law firms will be able to represent the pueblo's case over this "legal eagle bamboozle". COMMENTS?

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen (rubs head and winces):

Sots, I'm laid up with a nasty case of road rash. Some bloody fool decided to let his dog off-leash and the damn thing ran out in front of my bicycle, if you will, and a-tumbling down I went. Not much fun when you scrape up your chin AND hit your head on the bike wheel, savvy? But let's talk about something else, shall we?

Remember Poor Lucille who sued because she was spied upon? Perhaps the City is being investigated for civil rights violations. And Miss Ruby D? And what about several of the other companies and entities that several Clowncil members are Board members of? I don't think its so much an investigation of the City more than an investigation of WHO has been dealing with WHOM such as lunches and dinners on expense reports, an NFL player who was used to obtain building permits by a developer...which may be ONE of the reasons Don Jose went to Miami during Superbowl Sunday, savvy?

Oh bugger. Here comes Nurse to rub salve on my bum. Fancy that, a bum rub! Shall I ask Nurse how many other bums she's rubbed? Should be interesting as Nurse does "contract work" for the City.

captain jack,

sorry to hear of the bumps and bruises.

regarding the pro football player. hellz yeah...ZD knows all about that. homes by the developer you mention have been switched back and forth into the gridiron legend, to aviod those pesky little EIRs. And sure, why wouldn't a retired pro football player want to attend the big game in Florida?

Oh no...it just hit me...are you saying those two shady EIR avoiders hobknob with the their "bros" in Florida up at those Superbowl cocktail partyies where the envelopes start flying?

That's some flow chart. Gotta run it into the "BAT COMPUTER".

PLUS: Are you saying Lucille SUED already? What was the outcome? And I like the angle about the Board members and the WHO/WHOM expense report angle. TO THE BAT COMPUTER...

cpt jack,

ps: now that i have a bat computer, i was doing some research and came across all those case names and numbers that i wasn't paying attention to, back then...

my bat computer's process was just much improved from a systematic efficiency standpoint.

Personally, I think someday soon, ZD is gonna walk up the steps to City Hall, for public comment, and the doors are gonna be padlocked and shut-down due to shady and unsafe municipal operations. I hope I can get a special event fee waiver that day to reimburse me for the wasted bus fare.
