A Guy in Two LAs
As a Spanish language student living in a largely Spanish-speaking neighborhood, I suppose I'm something of a resident of one Los Angeles, and regular tourist of the other.Yesterday, Mayor Villaraigosa addressed Spanish-speaking Los Angeles at MacArthur Park. Unlike his recent speeches on the Griffith Park blaze, this one bore less semblance to the version he prepared for English-speaking Los Angeles.
“Good afternoon, Los Angeles! We are here. We are here and we are not leaving...”

Blood in the water
A reader points out that the Mayor's message wasn't well-received by all residents of Spanish-speaking Los Angeles. As reported by KNX radio, at one point the speech was interrupted by a crowd of protesters shouting "Vendido" (sellout) at Mayor Villaraigosa and radio personality Piolin (who was chased into a La Nueva van).
Seems that despite a marathon of apologies, demotions, and groveling, there are those who won't rest until Chief Bratton's head rolls.

Gotta love the KFI guys who blasted the Villaraza Mayor and tore apart his speech in Spanish. Love John Ziegler who said Antonio is such a dumb ass he told the crowd in spanish 'we will speak against the gov't." What a moron! HE IS THE GOV'T. LA will become a santuary just like Maywood with illegals flooding here and further ruining this city. They are breaking the law but Antonio -Mecha boy tells them its ok. No where else but LA would an ignorant Latino mayor say such stupid things. KFI has promised to air his speech over and over and said HE WILL NEVER BE GOVERNOR. Not will all his womanizing baggage, affairs, corruption etc. that nat'l media will slam him on. I can't believe Antonio is so uneducated and looks like a greasy, sleazy Mexican out of the barrio.

Villaraigosa is the mayor of the illegal aliens from Mexico. His ethnocentrism is a turnoff to everybody else.

Antonio Watch. why don't you report the whole story? Ch. 4, 5 and 11 reported Antonio being drowned out by protestors calling him a vendido - sell out. This is what happens when you try and please everybody and have a "boxed" speech for every constituency in L.A. - thanks to Parke Skelton's tell them what they eant to hear philosophy. Remember during the mayoral campaign the different speeches Antonio would make to different communities. He would make Hillary proud. The only thing Antonio is good at is lying. He is the protypical, post Clinton era politician. He will lie for the most minscule of reasons if it will get you to llike him - and he does it with no hint of conscious. But he isn't that great of liar - although he is the best out there. If he were a great liar he would still be with his wife.

Antonio's old days of activism showed the entire Nation his cholo, gang banger, uneducated barrio mentality. He sounded as if he as in front of all the brown beret radicals at the rally. That speech is being sent to all national media outlets and then some. The spanish media aired it but the dumb ass English stations here who kiss his butt were too afraid. That's why they are losing viewers. People now go to cable news like MSNBC, FOX, CNN, etc.

Illegal immigrants take advantage of the free services our taxes provide. They get free health care, education, welfare, food stamps, etc. They have babies and then get free milk, cheese, cereal etc. while the hard working legal single moms who pay taxes don't get shit. They need to have ICE buses at every march these criminals attend. Maybe they'll get the message and go back home. The killings in South LA are getting out of control with blacks and Latinos killing eachother because of the drug territory issue. Blacks hate the illegals for taking over their community and now taking their drug customers. But the Mayor says that's not the case. Idiot!!
