LAUSD BOARD PRESIDENT MARLENE KANTER TO BE VOTED OUT BY VILLARAIGOSA'S TEAM AND VOTE-IN MONICA GARCIA

The headline says it all, y'all. My Batcomputer has outdone itself, this time. Must have tapped into the right conference call, or something. So to re-cap, Zuma Dogg's Bat Computer has predicted that sometime in the near future, like as soon as Galatzan and Vladwhatshisman is sworn in on LAUSD school board, you will read in LAzy Times or Daily News that Marlene Kanter will be voted out, and Monica Garcia will be voted in, as new LAUSD School Board President. But you will have already read it here, as reported by me, the Big ZD to the double G. And in related news, RED SPOT'S HEAD JUST POPPED OFF!

MEMO TO "ZUMA DOGG, ESQUIRE",

I am currently in route to the nearest medical center to have my head reattached to shoulders. But in the interest of peace and dialog I will offer the lovely "ROSIE O'GARCIA" some flowers and a "MANUEL'S SPECIAL". After comsuming the first, she can donate the second "MANUEL'S" to the classroom of her choice.

It looks like the 'hot spot' on Evergreen is a universal attraction. Is this the inside story about where lunch will be next week, see you then.

Zuma, you should try it out and compare it with Xochitl's on Huntington Drive, then see what it's like to enjoy....... "The taste of home, when you eat out".

(Restaurant slogan)

Big news for immigration.....

Villaraigosa and Nunez to join immigrant-rights protesters at a rally denouncing police behavior during a May 1 immigration rights rally. [Hey FBI, Inspector General, Bratton...call off the investigation. It's over. LAPD GUILTY...Villaraigosa and Nunez to denouce!

And Anthony in Rose Hill regarding Brewer's "Evergreen" audit. PROBLEM ACCORDING TO CRITICS: It was just an audit of all the other audits over the past ten years, that LAUSD ran themselves. So of course those critical of LAUSD will be suspect and want a new independant audit. I bet Antonio's new LAUSD board ("Team Reform") will run one. (That's what Zuma Dogg would do if I just took over the school board, who I fiercely opposed with private money from people pending approval of City projects.)

Huh...huh...huh...time for a full thread.

Anotherr thread :

LATEST IMMIGRATION REFORM Plan by the Feds.
This indirectly impacts every thread on this blog.

The proposed agreement would allow illegal immigrants to come forward and obtain a "Z visa" and — after paying fees and a $5,000 fine — ultimately get on track for permanent residency, which could take between eight and 13 years. Heads of household would have to return to their home countries first.

They could come forward right away to claim a probationary card that would let them live and work legally in the U.S., but could not begin the path to permanent residency or citizenship until border security improvements and the high-tech worker identification program were completed.

A new temporary guest worker program would also have to wait until those so-called "triggers" had been activated.

Those workers would have to return home after work stints of two years, with little opportunity to gain permanent legal status or ever become U.S. citizens. They could renew their guest worker visas twice, but would be required to leave for a year in between each time.

Democrats had pressed instead for guest workers to be permitted to stay and work indefinitely in the U.S.

In perhaps the most hotly debated change, the proposed plan would shift from an immigration system primarily weighted toward family ties toward one with preferences for people with advanced degrees and sophisticated skills. Republicans have long sought such revisions, which they say are needed to end "chain migration" that harms the economy, while some Democrats and liberal groups say it's an unfair system that rips families apart.

Family connections alone would no longer be enough to qualify for a green card — except for spouses and minor children of U.S. citizens.

Matt Dowd adds : spouses and skill? perfect.

2:59pm - Why are you so bothered that I can speak and write American English much more fluently than you? I DO NOT live in the San Fernando Valley, never have lived there, and WILL NOT live there! The drainage is poor, it used to be the flood plain of the Los Angeles River and is therefore subject to liquifaction in the event of a major earthquake, and has way too many illegals, gangsters, graffitti, and general garbage on the streets (both human and human-caused).

In my humble opinion, 2:59, you are so stupid that you probably dial 4-1-1 just to get the number for 9-1-1!
