Weiss Hoping To Curry Developer Favor For 2009 Election
Imagine you're on "Jepoardy!"
The Category is "City Clowncil."
For $100, the answer is "Give money to developers to build 'affordable housing.'"
Can you figure out the question?
The question is, "What is the City Clowncil's proposed solution for all problems?"
The latest example comes from the Clowncil Member for my district, Jack Weiss. The City is supposedly having trouble hiring more police. Now, some low-brow, no-imagination person like you or me -- you know, the ones who still refer to "Human Resources" using the outdated term "Personnel" -- would come up with a dumb solution like, "offer candidates more money."
Not Weiss, though. He knows that the answer to all problems is to give more of your tax money to developers. I heard him interviewed on the radio today, saying he had proposed giving more money to developers to build housing for which they, in turn, would give police a good deal. Result? More people would accept job offers to work as officers.
Yeah, that's a great idea! After all, how long could it possibly take to build all that housing and make those deals? It's a much better solution than, say, paying the police more, so they can afford a nice apartment or condo immediately. After all, Officer Friday can't contribute nearly as much to a City Attorney campaign as a collection of developers can.
Speaking of which, stay tuned for an important announcement, once I clear it with my supervisor, Mrs. Moore....

prediction: walter will announce he is running for city attorney
Walter Moore said:
I will NOT be announcing I'm running for City Attorney. That job, if done properly, would be beyond tedious, with little opportunity to do any serious public good. It's essentially a ministerial assignment.
But that was a very good and logical guess...

SPEAKING OF GAME SHOWS, TODAY OUR GOOD FRIEND ANTONIO SAYS 'DEAL OR NO DEAL.' WELL, NOT QUITE BECUASE WITH HIM IN CONTROL OF THE WHOLE GAME, IT'S MORE LIKE HOW WILL I HELP THE LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND THE HOMELESS?
I CAN SAY THAT THE ISSUE REGARDING HOMELESS IS A LEGITIMATE ISSUE, I AM ALSO COMFORTABLE THAT 'ZD' WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE AFFORDABLE HOUSING. LOOKS LIKE IT IS HAPPENING.
WHAT CAN OUR TOP PLAYER DO WITH A MILLION DOLLARS TO PUT HIS PLAN TO WORK. YOU MIGHT THINK AT LEAST IT IS A START. NOW FOR THE TWIST, BUMP UP THE STAKES TO OVER 100 MILLION TO ASSIST IN AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND PERMANANT HOMELESS SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. INCLUDING ON SITE SUPPORT SUCH AS COUNSELING, JOB TRAINING, CHILD CARE, AND DRUG REHABILITATION.
WELL THE NEWS IS, IT'S STILL MORE THAN THAT AND THIS IS ONLY THE 1st ROUND, BECOMING THE LARGEST IN AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THE CITY'S HISTORY. DOCUMENTS SHOW THE EXPECTED EXPENSES IN 7 DIFFERENT COUNCIL DISTRICTS FOR PROJECST RECOMENDED BY THE 'AHTF'. (AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUND)
SO EITHER THIS SHOW WILL END UP BEING THE (GONG SHOW or NAME THAT TUNE $$$$) ANY WAY YOU SEE IT, IT ALL TURNS OUT IN THE END AS...... "THIS IS YOUR LIFE".

Let's see: housing, deals, apartments, checking with the significant other; just a guess, but I predict Walter is putting up his domicile for sale or rent to prepare for the move across the pond, where I'm sure he'll find nice rentals or chateaus..

Weiss Ass just proved why is will never be city attorney. He's a moron! All clowncil has to DO NOW IS GIVE LAPD MORE OVERTIME LIKE THEY ALLOW FIRE DEPT. TO HAVE. We could have cops on the street now but they are too stupid to figure it out. They say they can't find the money yet spend millions on crap. Get a grip Weiss Ass.

6:17 - If Walter is challenged to a duel, then the challenged party (Walter) has the choice of weapons. This would not be to Sparrow's advantage.
