Because Squirrels Won't Wear Condoms
To fight squirrel overpopulation, the City of Santa Monica is trapping squirrels, injecting them with, in essence, a birth control drug, and releasing them. You can read about it in theL.A. Times.
And please do note my remarkable comedic restraint in foregoing the obvious double entendre punchline involving squirrels' reproductive organs.

Sorry Walter, I'm not here to comment on your post but since you are at the top of the thread list, you have been chosen.
Did anyone catch Jose Huizar today on Channel 4 talking about a protest against the expansion of a waste plant in Boyle Heights. Didn't Parra brign this to light? Didn't Huizar ignore this until now, a day before election? Parra may lose this race and he may be a scumbag but he has already won in getting Huizar to get off his ass.
Parke, why the protest the day before election day? Why the press conference? What do those polls tell you, is Huizar really in trouble?

speaking of condoms, interesting last nite on South Park was the episode where Tom Cruise and John Travolta locked themselves in a 'closet' and refused to come out.
I say that the whole Redstone/Cruise Viacom breakup was because Redstone refused to pull this episode of South Park off the air. Tom must have made an ultimatum and Redstone called his bluff.
the show ended with all the scientology people threatening to sue everyone. I was pissing myself.
its exactly how it is. no?
Tom Cruise is a great actor, I gotta say. fabulous even.

Walter,
Nice joke on the McIntyre show this morning about having our illustrious mayor "mentor" the two teenage Glendora girls who placed warning stickers on political signs illegally placed on public property by a moronic Glendora councilman.
If only LA could have Glendora's "problems."

I know that it was necessary to remove many of the Huizar signs as Mr Huizars' troops plastered every street, freeway entrance, entrances to business, and un-approved private property lots causing motorist to have obstructed views of the road way. I asked Vons to remove two which kept people from exiting safely on La Loma in Eagle Rock. Word has it that there was a $2.00 bounty on each illegially posted sign (regardlessof candidate) paid by Department of Maintenance. What was worse was when Huizars people pulled up a Jiminez or Parra sign and threw it on the street or in the roadway creating another hazard. Mr Huizar knew the rules about not posting on public property, freeways, bridges, etc. but like everything else he can afford to pay the fine. At least Parra's people disposed of them properly.

tell it to the judge! the cops are coming for you.

Huizar signs were on the median on Eagle Rock Blvd. He and his staffers must have been aware of them. Then again, given how Huizar's office has been oblivious to the problems in Eagle Rock, maybe they didn't see them.
Slimeball politico.

9:44 - Thanks! Don't you love that show? It's so reassuring to hear Doug say the things we're all thinking -- only he says it in a funnier fashion, which is even better.

Absolutely. Thanks to Doug McIntyre and others for talking about smaller issues like this and especially the larger issues such as the broken borders crisis and the systemic corruption in City Hall that the MSM (e.g., LA Times) has done an ABYSMAL job covering. For whatever it's worth, Doug et al. gives regular Joe Schmoe taxpayer a voice and shines the light on the unacceptable status quo.

$2 a sign, hmmm, Parra-plegics? we'll if you hop to quickly enough, you could double Parra's fund "draining" efforts since the last reporting period, all on the last day or two of Alvin's last candidacy in the city of L.A. (I'll bet he challenges Gloria M. next, since she "dissed" her old "gopher" with no endorsement). Take it to county, 4-time loser.
Don't know what good the collection of Huizar signs can do for the Parra coffers at this late stage, however, since Huizar will be declared the winner at 8:10 p.m. tomorrow night based on the absentees mailed in last week, alone. Maybe Alvin can pay himself back the $15,000 he loaned his own campaign to make it look like someone out there cared?
He told the media he could raise $80K before the election, and excluding matching and his own loans, he barely cleared $50K.
And his vote total will reflect exactly that, as well. A decade of gross miscalculations about just how disliked he is politically.
Imagine? No "Homer Simpson" of L.A. politics to kick around any more. The new era begins March 7.
P.S. Please tell "Johnny J" at the next loser's "Duh-bate" that you took his signs down - he's blaiming Jose for this, too.
Or should be "DOH-bate?"

Walter,
BTW, I also caught your comments this on Doug's show. I think we better check on "ZONER". He faces cruel punishment by being force to stay at an LAUSD school. On your topic, at least squirrels don't put a strain on our tax dollors when they have babies.

These posts are off topic because nobody gives a shit about the fucking squirrels. Doesn't anybody get that by now?
Now get off to your election posts wherever you should be. We are done hanging signs now and must sleep for an hour or so before we start our long day.
