City Council Meeting Agenda Wrap-up

And L.A. City Council's agenda SHOULD be wrapped up, like you would any piece of **** .

First of all, it was on the agenda to hire outside counsel regarding the T. Pierce (fireman/dogg food case). However, it was continued until Dec. 19th, probably because Councilmember Zine knew he was a vote or two short, and needed more time to lobby support from opposing Councilmembers. (More taxpayers' money to hire more attorneys when we already pay for 500 of them? See story below.)

Also continued, "establishing City 'positions' on various proposed State legislation in 2007:

2. RESOLVE to join the LAUSD to jointly SPONSOR and/or SUPPORT legislation in the 2007-08 State Legislative Program, revising the eligibility criteria for $1.9 billion for new construction under Prop. 1D (LAUSD is currently uneligable for this funding due to change in population data after bonds were passed by the Legislature.) [ZD says it's REALLY because of beuracracy/conflicts caused by the mere creation of this Frankenstein monster, called AB 1381.]

(Please help me fill in the blanks and tell me what's really at play here.)

Item No. 83: Putting LAUSD School Board Term limits on the March 6, 2007 ballot. (Proposed Charter Amendment)
ESTABLISHING CAMPAIGN FINANCE REGULATIONS AND ENFORCEMENT, TERM LIMITS, AND A COMPENSATION REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR THE LAUSD BOARD. CHARTER AMEBNDMENT L.

ZD says, first of all, I am told the local Los Angeles City Council may not get involved in "financial" decision making/policy making regarding the state agency, LAUSD. (Can anyone reading clarify this?) Secondly, all this is is the mayor (Antonio Villagrossa) forcing City Council to put this on the ballot for him, so he Richard Riordan can take further control of the school's over $20 billion construction budget, while as a diversionary tactic, may have to try and help three schools clusters (up to 45-70 schools dependng on which three clusters are chosen). Maybe LAUSD board deserves this? I haven't been around City Hall long enough to know. All I do know, is this AB 1381 under Nunez, Villagrossa, Broad, Riordan and the cast of Muppets (like Monica Garcia) are up to something shady over at the "Mayoral Control" takeover attempt of LAUSD's construction budget.

AND OH, YOUR HEAD WILL EXPLODE WHEN YOU SEE THIS ONE: Remember over the summer, when City Council approved a "trash collection fee hike" to help pay for a thousand new cops. Well guess what? Today, some of that trash fee money began to flow upon LAPD to help hire those thousand new cops. Only problem, it didn't really "flow", just a little "trickle". You see, only $20,000 was transfered. A thousand new cops? Maybe overtime for one, but not enough to actually hire a new one. What's up with that (Huizar - Garcetti)? (It was their item,) There must be a WHOLE lot I'm missing here, because otherwise, it's outrageous. I CAN'T WAIT TO BE CORRECTED AND FILLED IN WITH ALL THE FACTS ON THE COMMENT SECTION.

And finally, two special event fee waivers worth mentioning this holiday season:
o) MOTION (GREUEL for GARCETTI - LABONG) relative to declaring the event at the Ricardo Montalban Theater on December 1, 2006 a Special Event (fees and costs absorbed by the City) . [EXCUSE ME? WHAT EVENT? HOW MUCH? It don't say squat on the agenda. That's how it reads...I didn't leave anything out. What's up with that, y'all?}

z) Zuma Dogg Holiday Karaoke Party, this Sunday at the Lava Lounge on La Brea in Hollywood. 8:30pm. Consider it the City's official office party for all the constituents. And thanks to Lava Lounge for waiving the fee, and absorbing the cost.]

You read a city council agenda like a baboon reads ancient Greek. It appears you've set a NEW low, misundertanding EVERY single item re-posted here.

I don't know where to begin.

SO I won't.

Yeesh!

So, if I'm standing next to the Zine, Smith and Cardenas baboons, how do they make me look like a fool?

They are all foolish baboons. I'm pretty perfect actually.
