A few of today's LAPD Headlines...

LAPD Use of Force Studied
By Richard Winton, Times Staff Writer

The Los Angeles Police Commission today will consider a plan to make public its decisions on whether officers violate department use-of-force rules.

But the proposed postings would omit the officers' names, and that has some critics concerned.

LAPD cars' computers set for upgrade, cost increase
Northrop Grumman and city renegotiate agreement despite delays in getting project completed.
By David Zahniser, Copley News Service

A Los Angeles City Council committee moved forward Monday with a long-stalled plan to upgrade computer systems used in Los Angeles Police Department squad cars, even as a private contractor warned that changes to the work could cost the city another $1.5 million.

This new board of police commissioners that Antonio
appointed just shows how much better the last board was. You can't tell me that if John Mack wasn't the black activist all these new things he wants to do for "his" community they would be coming up. These police commissioners have been bias, unfair, unbalanced, and only concerned with doing what South LA wants. Where's the middle ground? Don't they represent the ENTIRE CITY. WHERE'S THE LEADERSHIP?? MACK IS THE RING LEADER FOR THIS CIRCUS. I WONDER WHY LAPD CAN'T GET RECRUITS WITH THESE TYPE OF LOSERS ON THE BOARD.

They're not the only problem. The damn feds have come into our City demanding costly reforms. Who is the federal government to come in and tell LAPD how to do its business?

Civil rights! Sure. The Bill of Rights is just an impediment to an orderly society.

Why is Antonio competing for LAPD money from its CERT Program? Everyone knows the (CERT) Crisis Emergency Response Team was created by LAPD NOT ANTONIO. Now he wants to take the money LAPD should be getting for THEIR program for his office.
