DWP Dereliction?

Civil Action Press highlights the recent power issues surrounding LA with a pretty good summary and a question for all to ponder...

Dereliction of Duty and Wanton Mismanagement -- Mayor & Council Condoned?
By The Gadfly

Three major power outages in a month. One of outages at the City Hall coincides with citizen complaints and a management sick out at DWP. Intimidation, retaliation, and coercion against DWP employees reported regularly. Heart wrenching comments from employees and vendors at City Council meetings. DWP management personnel actions overturned by Superior Court because they are arbitrary and capricious. $Millions of public funds spent in supposedly illegal confidential settlements. Contractors Fleishman-Hillard, Ch2M Hill, et al running amok under DWP management.

DWP employees upset? Have employees checked on how customers are treated by them during work hours? Have they researched the monopoly they work for?

Oh Please! DWP get paid high enough to get told off once in a while. You are holier than thou? The DWP employees, bunch of whining bitches.

And to think those lame council members gave them the highest raise of any union in this city. They didn't have the guts to go against their threats to strike. For all the money we pay to DWP we keep getting these power outages.

Let's give'em another raise. They are doing a great job. Talk about the city employees getting screwed...oh I forgot, dwp employees are city employees too...the mayor was a wimp on this one...and the council, well let's just say "where were they?"

Antonio should really be concerned. If the Power plant in Arizona closes DWP will spend $300,000 a day and our rates are going up. DWP had 3 power outages in 30 days yet those lame council members still gave them a raise. Antonio acted like a coward and hid behind his title and did nothing. He lacks leadership and balls to run this city.

Read the article you morons. This isn't about the raise. It's about employees trying to SAVE the ratepayers from overcharges, fraud & deception by management & contractors.
Funny- no elected officials are interested & you morons are still talking about the raise.
