We here at the Sister City love to take shots at one of our favorite topics Jackie Goldberg. So, I almost wet my pants this morning when I saw this headline:Think Pink: She calls herself the "Pink Lady", so can you, too. Jackie Goldberg wears pink suits, pink shoes, pink nail polish, pink lipstick, talks on a pink cell phone and lives in a pink house in Woodland Hills.
Unfortuantely, it wasn't to be. Jackie has a twin.
But at least you have a forum to take your shots at her anyways...and any other off topic crap you guys love to cut and paste..

What about the other Teachers Union members in the legislature? There are several of them and their purpose is to serve that organization, not the interests of the people of California.
None of the states newspapers has taken a look at the influence and legislation written by this group.

Why is AV targeting car owners for his own agenda with traffic, he should concentrate on taking public transportation, after this happens, promote it. How could anyone follow his lead when he doesn't do what he preaches.
There should be gambling allowed on 1st street. This can raise funds for cops, schools, and AV's pockets. It already happens just under the tables, make it legal and everyone else other than AV can also get rich.

Since we have been invited to discuss off topic stuff, and I don't care fo pink... lets talk about the upcoming screwing the folks in the north valley are going to get tomorrow on Sunshine Canyon.
Rumor is that they didn't have the votes to continue poisoning the residents of Granada Hills a few weeks ago... that was then... but they have since found the votes so the executions may begin.
Councilman "let me scream at someone so this looks good" Smith, wh accepted vast funding and support from BFI and their cronies is rehearsing for what I am sure will be a stellar performance of shock and outrage. This is the guy who ran on the Sunshine Canyon issue but has done NOT A SINGLE THING to actually stop it from going forward. Oh, wait, his staff has been lobbying to EXTEND THE CONTRACT behind the scenes in a familliar "there's nothing we can do" shrug.
Hopefully some City Council staffer reading this will wake up and realise that KILLING CONSTITUENTS IS NOT GOOD PUBLIC POLICY!
There are options to Sunshine... and if BFI had other ways to fill Sunshine they wouldn't be lobbying so hard to keep this contract. God when will ypu people wake up???
I heard from several people who attended Antonio's Northeast National Nite Out that about 300 people showed up who were mostly bused in. They are exaggerating those figures as they always do with community clean ups. They said it was embarrassing to say the least. They said the officers were mad and didn't want to be there.

I attended the Northeast event and people looked pissed off at something, don't get me wrong, they treated the officers fine and were happy with that, but the people upset must have been the bused ones, who knows.

Not even remotely funny, intelligent or sharp. But it stands to reason a sharp-as-a-marble juvenile like you would spend time to type in such infantile crap. Go back to the bathrooms where you can scrawl random numbers on the walls indicating "for a good time call". Somebody should call your mommy and have your computer access time taken away so you can watch Sesame Street instead.
