Gridlock
The big three print media outlets all have tranportation on the brain, but of various different topics.
The Daily News praises the cities of Glendale, Burbank, and Pasadena for invisioning a linking transit hub between the three to help congestion along the 210/134/101 route. Problem: they don't have the money to actually build it, so MTA would need to step in.
The LA Times has tunnel vision. They take a look at the 710 freeway completion between East LA and the San Gabriel Valley. Problem: NIMBY's and red tape.
The Daily Breeze examines the new PierPass program and its effects on the 710 in the harbor. Problem: Unhappy haulers and noise for the residents.
I think LA Voice has it right. Blame L.A.'s Barge Captains
The common thread? They all effect South Pasadena.....hmmm...
