Perhaps the big ZERO i was referring to was the number of recall signature the "Recall Villaraigosa" submitted today. After 5pm the Clerk closed down their offices without a single signature filed.
Eliseo, for months we've posted to your site, for months your supporters have come on here and wrote about how great your signature drive was going, for months. Unfortunately, for months we've been lied too.
Eliseo - i support Mayor Sam's action of no longer linking to your site -- I feel like we've been fools for believing you and wasting our bandwidth even acknowledging you.
In the past months MEAT has been a one man machine e-mailing me constantly with information about your Recall and i refused to post anything of what MEAT e-mailed me. To MEAT i apologize to you, and i apologize to the readers of this blog who thought that this recall might be true.

I also feel empathy and want to confess, I apologize to all the people I told on this blog that Antonio was fit to be mayor, I lied. I feel awful for feeding you with lies of Antonio's accomplishments when he has none, of all the good deeds, when actually there are none to speak of.
Just like the chief, I would get emails from individuals telling me to just say the truth, but I was stubborn and naive. I apologize to MEAT-well done and by the time it's May 17th, you will be fried.
Chief, you are being a moron. The recall notified the City Clerk about the number of signatures gathered. But if it is less than the 12000 or so required, it's immaterial. It's like saying that Villaraigosa didn't run a campaign in 2001 because he didn't win. You and MEAT. A couple of dum-dums.
KTLA just reported the Times poll: Antonio 51, Jimmy 40. The mayor's approval rating dropped from 44 last month to 36. ummm...Mayor Villar??
Congratulations Antonio. I hope you pick the best and the brightest and not dim wits like Hahn's kiddie corps on the third floor.

John Kerry campaigned for Los Angeles mayoral candidate Antonio Villaraigosa on Saturday. There was only one awkward moment - when Teresa Heinz Kerry asked Villaraigosa if he knew any gardeners who work cheap.

One week before the general election in 2001, the Times poll had Hahn by 7 points and he won by 6. The Times will report tomorrow Antonio leading by 11. Hahn, Kam and Carrick don't have enough dirty tricks in their bags to overcome 11 points in one week. Oh, they are being outspent 2 to 1 too. It is over, baby. O-V-E-R!
I am ashamed to live in a city where two candidates have to resort to negative attacks for a buck or vote. Both, now read this clearly Mayor Sam and others, BOTH CANDIDATES have played a dirty campaign. All of the campaign consultants should be ashamed of themselves. There is no good reason for the Latino community to come out to vote if both are heading us up to a big mess. I am having a dinner meeting with 40 people tomorrow on business (mostly latinos) we are all in agreement that this is a mess and the people require much more intelligent leadership than just voting on emotion. We already know what Hahn is about, but Villaraigosa is just emotion and preys on our roots instead of talking to us about issues. He is lost and feel ashamed that a fellow brother (latino) is so far away from his culture that he is involved with inter-office affairs. My son volunteered at your Los Angeles Office, I prohibited him from doing so after he informed me of the arrogance and non discretionary actions of this councilman with a staff member. He recorded a couple of conversations, I will show this recording to my guests tomorrow. If your lucky, one of you might already be going, if not, you will hear it in the news.

If you really had 8,000 signatures, why did you not file them to prove at least we could do that?
We honored you, remember "Eliseo is King" and "Eliseo El Rey"?
Now you have provided support for Villaraigosa to sail into the Mayor's Office.

Befoe you play your son's recording, check the law to be sure that it will not put him in peril.
Then, if it is legal, check to see that it will not be the end of your political career or that of your son.
This election is OVER and all you will accomplish by this petty spite stuff is to throw more mud yourself.
Stick to the issues; that is what an election is supposed to be all about.
Spin, spin, spin, ADV Lover... Tony V. losing ground faster than he can spend the money... he' in a tailspin, and has no more base to appeal to for support.. He milked them dry, and left their teets chapped.

Except now his hack campaigners will panic and start desperation floundering, just in time to step on their own equipment.
TV news (yeah, on those same stations ADV is paying an aggregated million bucks to to run his crappy repetetive ads), are reporting the Times poll like it means HAHN HAS ALREADY CAUGHT UP.
Maxine and Bernie's endorsements have only doubled ADV's share of the African American vote from 2001, to about half of an (unenergized) total of that small minority.
I think I can hear some Hahn supporters taking out theit checkbooks again -- not good news to ADV. Hahn has accomplishments to tout the final; Tony's got NADA!
It's bad form to even mention the word "accomplishments" and ADV in the same sentence. Makes him FEEL bad and unloved!
