Julian Assange
The mother of Wikileaks founder Julian Assange now fears for his safety, saying "I'm concerned it's gotten too big and the forces that he's challenging are too big." Interpol has issued a warrant for his arrest and Julian is reported to be in hiding. Personally, I can't wait for Wikileaks' next release reportedly containing Enron level corruption info about Bank of America.  And don't forget folks, insiders are sending Wikileaks this info, they are just posting it. Sort of how it works around here at Mayor Sam.

Closer to home; Councilmember Paul Krekorian, chairman of the city’s Education and Neighborhoods Committee, has just released a comprehensive review of local democracy following a nearly year-long study of Los Angeles’ 92 neighborhood councils. The report encompasses the wide-ranging views of community leaders throughout Los Angeles. Topics range from the definition of a stakeholder to NC funding. You can read his report here.
