As the FBI contemplates investigating LAUSD over its handling of the Miramonte Scandal, the school calendar continues to shrink and masses protest cuts in Adult Education, there are those who believe that the former Chief of Staff to long ago LAUSD School Board President Jose Huizar, deserves honors for reforming education (under instructions from Mayor Antonio Villar) within LAUSD. 

 If you believe that rising pregnancy rates at Roosevelt High School and giving campus space to Planned Parenthood constitutes educational reform, then you honor Monica Garcia  

If you believe that renewing a connected Charter School that test in the lowest 10%, has disdain for local laws and retaliates against its perceived enemies constitutes education reform, then you honor Monica Garcia.
