Morning Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Machine for Hump Day Wednesday

Will LAUSD Teacher Kyp Arnold face termination for this chase/crash and sex abuse charges?
OK! One can hear the cyber yells of "stupid question" but despite the fact that Kyp Arnold broke multiple  traffic laws during his suicidal ride (maybe with the exception of seat belts rules which most likely saved his life), told police that they would not take him alive for questioning on alleged lewd acts with a former student, politicians in Sacramento beholden to the California Teachers Association recently voted down a propose law that would of streamline the termination process for the likes of Arnold.
SB 1530 authored by State Senator Alex Padilla died in the State Assembly Education Committee June 27 when the needed six votes to advance the proposed law fail to materialize. The likes of West LA Assemblywoman Besty Butler and San Gabriel Valley Assemblyman Mike Eng (who both face tough re election challenges) abstain from the vote.
Thus, until the legal proceedings run their course, it is conceivable that Arnold will retain full pay and benefits as the likes of CTA and UTLA continue stonewalling needed disciplinary reforms in the state's education system.
** The motivation for Senator Padilla's SB 1530 LAUSD's Miramonte Elementary Scandal, has gone legal ...... again. Attorney Luis Carrillo, well known for his police brutality legal work, has filed suit against LAUSD on the behalf of parents of Miramonte students who "suffered emotional trauma".
Recall Monica Garcia News
LAUSD School Board President Monica Garcia who was just re elected to a sixth consecutive term as the presiding board member, may face a refocus effort from the Recall Monica Garcia Group. More documents are forthcoming in a growing scandal over her duplicity in covering up potentially dangerous education conditions at a local school. The Mayor Sam Blog was given the exclusive opportunity to review these documents and will make them available for viewing in the near future.

Your thoughts ..............
