Mayor Sam Exclusive: Emanuel Pleitez to join the 2013 Mayoral Race
Former Congressional Candidate and now 2013 Mayoral Candidate Emanuel Pleitez.
Mayor Sam has confirmed that former San Gabriel Valley Congressional Candidate Emanuel Pleitez has filed papers for the 2013 Mayoral Campaign.
The Wilson High School and Stanford University Graduate will formally announce his intentions today according to his Facebook Page and from another source.
Pleitez who was an organizer for President Barack Obama's campaign team in 2008, was an upstart congressional candidate to replace Hilda Solis who became the head of the Department of Labor in 2009.
With the help of veteran Campaign Consultant Eric Hacopian, an army of eager young professionals volunteers, combined with with a grasp of the power of social media (especially its potential for fund raising), Pleitez made a respectable run and ensure that then State Senator Gil Cedillo did not become Congressman Gil Cedillo.

We don't need another Villaraigosa flunky in the race, we already have Wendy Greuel.

this guy sounds like a 'mexican' Mitt Romney.

He's even less qualified than Phil Jennerjahn.

This guy suffers from affirmative eastside action...go get some real knocks in the world in lieu of using minimal experience to even think you will be taken seriously....well, Brian Johnson Riordan agent conceded defeat...in the interest of reformed thinking Democrats, let's see if he throws his support behind the Democrat in the 46th ad, or he will show his true colors....go garcetti or Zev...

Ana Cubas and Emanuel Pleitez have got to be the biggest joke in Los Angeles. Ana Cubas always looks like she needs a bath, fashion consultant and hair extension expert. Emanuel Pleitez looks like he can use an hygenist. Both Ana Cubas and Emanuel Pleitez lack charisma, intelligence and people skills.

As soon as he mentions former Villariagosa staffer he is dead in the water. The eastside won't forget Pleitez took Tony's advice and got into the congressional race to dilute the Latino vote.

I am surprised to see Emanuel Pleitez in the race for Los Angeles Mayor. I've worked with this young man, whose ambition and healthy self-esteem is matched only by his inability to succeed even in the low level jobs he has held (however briefly he has been able to hold each job). Los Angeles needs a mayor that can successfully handle tough issues. The people of Los Angeles deserve more.
