Mayor Sam Candidate Endorsements: Anyone But Wesson for CD10
This is the next in a series of posts where JoeB and I will give our endorsements for candidates for LA City Council and School Board. Where there is agreement we will give the official MayorSam endorsement to the candidate. Next up is CD10. For each post we will give both Joe's endorsement and mine along with our comments. The choices in CD10 are:
JoeB: Anybody But Wesson
Michael Higby: Herb Wesson is a joke with his animal shows in Council. He's another recycled politician from Sacramento. Althea Shaw however would bring the sensibilities of a regular person and would be an impassioned advocate for public safety and victims. Shaw was thrust into the spotlight when tragedy befell her family much in the same way Carolyn McCarthy became a respected member of Congress following the shooting death of her family members. Vote for Shaw.

Austin Dragon was an well organize candidate when i met him at the Clean Sweep LA kickoff. Either he or Shaw would do better than Herb.
You guys don't know jack about what it takes to be a councimember. Wesson will win with 80 percent of the vote, regardless of the five knuckleheads. You should be ashamed for not having the guts to back someone in the race. None of the Above is not an option.Prop 23 in 2000 failed, and your endorsement is a failure to pay attention as well.
I ENDORSE ALTHEA SHAW SHE IS THE ONLY CANDIDATE WHO IS WALKING HER DISTRICT AND TALKING TO HER COMMUNITY. SHE IS NOT A ONE ISSUE CANDIDATE SHE HAS A PLAN TO CHANGE THAT DISTRICT. SHE PLANS TO RECRUIT OFFICERS WHO LIVE IN OR NEAR THIS DISTRICT TO PATROL THIS DISTRICT. SHE WILL TAKE OUT THE GRAFFETTI GET THE STREETS CLEAN AND SAFE, THEN INVITE IN BUSINESES LARGE AND SMALL THAT WILL GIVE HER COMMUNITY A START AT GOOD PAYING JOBS. SHE WILL WORK WITH THE SCHOOLS TO REMOVE THE REVOLVING DOOR THAT LEADS TO KIDS JOINING GANGS. CLEAN STREETS ARE BUT A BEGINNING. SHE WILL HELP LOCAL SMALL BUSINESES AND LOCAL CONTRACTORS TO GET WORK THAT THEY ARE PASSED OVER FOR. SHE WILL BUILD COMMUNITY PRIDE MUCH LIKE SHE DID WITH JAMIL. HER COMMUNITY WILL BECOME MORE OPEN AND THE PUBLIC WILL HAVE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN THIS CHANGE. I THINK ALTHEA WILL SET AN EXAMPLE FOR THIS CITY. SHE HAS FOUGHT HARD FOR THIS COMMUNITY FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE. SHE WILL ADDRESS GAS PIPE BREAKS AND ROAD REPAIR, SHE KNOWS YOU CAN'T FIX WHAT'S WRONG UNTIL YOU FIX YOUR COMMUNITY, SHE WILL.
