How do you reconcile your suggestion that this is motivated by Republican rhetoric with the fact that Giffords is not only a former Republican, but still is a CONSERVATIVE?
And, if you feel that this assassin is motivated by Republican rhetoric, then I guess Squeaky Fromme, Sara Jane Moore and David Hinkley (all psychos), were motivated by Democratic rhetoric.
People on this blog would take you more seriously if you someday decided to see things from others' perspectives rather than just your own.

These silly clips and photos are the symptom. The disease is the Obama presidency. I would find it more interesting if you wrote about Obama's move toward the center in order to try to salvage this term and angle for a second one.
Speaking of that, you've been very quiet about Obama lately, given his misfortunes. Do you still think he's going to win re-election? The far left seems upset about his move to the center. How do you feel about it?

If you go to DLC.org, you'll see that the Dems have used bull's eyes on maps, too.
Both parties have used this tactic, and it's disgusting in both instances.
You're not known to be a balanced commentator, but it's important to acknowledge that this is a tactic both sides used.
Personally, I have no doubt that Palin's crosshairs diagram is directly responsible for this. But the Dems do this too.

Even the entire Congress is putting all rhetoric aside for this week before they try to dismantle Obamacare.
Why can't you do the same, at least out of respect for the dead and their families?

Obama is really milking this tragedy with his moment of silence. It's always political with him. BHO is always desperate to appear presidential since his policies have been rejected so deeply by 75% of the country. Even the liberals are thinking he's a sellout.

I am a life-long Democrat who happens to find Phil Jennerjahn very amusing, although he was completely out of order over the weekend.
But my question for you is whether you found cringe-worthy, as I did, Barak's statement about "Clinging to their guns and religion."
I think that was the genesis of this act. Mocking people simply because their beliefs are different is the kind of act that leads to fatal violence, as we saw this weekend.
Even though I was an Obama supporter, it was highly inappropriate for someone who wants to be president to do. And I think it is not an indirect line between that statement, which remains in the public memory, to this weekend's mass murder.
Food for thought.
The U.S. needs to focus on the problems we have here, and stop pouring money into corrupt countries like Haiti.
Let Haiti figure out their way out of a hole, or let the other countries around the world respond.
We need to fix our own problems.

Your post would have greater credibility if you posted Palin's MAPS without the silly poster of her lookalike with guns.
The Palin-imposter takes away credibility from your otherwise valid point.
People need to see the real underlying reason for the Tea Party's rants and threats. There is a Black man at the White House. These "blue blood Americans" just can't cope with the fact that their Commander in Chief is a Black man. Such racial hatred manifests itself into so many different evils. Suddenly there is a green light on Muslims, then the undocumented, then Jews - Gabby is a proud Jew and Jared referred to the undocumented as pigs.
The "my" America at all costs message being spewed by the likes of Palin, Limbaugh and Beck and Fox News in general has set civil discourse in this country back to the time of Sheriff Bull Conner and his police dogs.
But this is a Democracy where numbers matter. And as Obama proved, the numbers are now on the right side. It is always darkest before the light. Unfortunately this light had to be lit by the murder of a 9 year old girl.
Limbaugh and Beck are bonfide racists - Palin is just a stupid hack looking for a paycheck.
NPR's journalistic standards are really sinking lately. They were the first to report that Giffords was dead.
This all started with their ridiculous firing of Juan Williams. Good that they dumped their news chief last week.

It's about time the Democrats learned a lesson about making laws that are un-Constitutional.
It should be no surprise that this happened, nor should people think it can't happen again and again by whomever is feeling dis-enfranchised at any given time.

By miscategorizing one kook as "they" or the Tea Party or any other GROUP, when this was the work of ONE person, serves only to diminish your point.
Exaggeration always diminishes valid points.
Speaking of unnecessarily antagonistic, just two days before the incident, Senator Harry Reid said that the Tea Party would disappear once the economy gets better.

I am a Republican, and unless Joe is posting FAKE Palin charts, it's CLEAR she provoked this.
I guess it depends on your level of confidence in things that Joe posts, like the look-a-like image of Palin holding guns. I like Joe's posts, but I've warned countless times of the hazard of posting FAKE images along with REAL images.
The person to blame for that is you, not Joe, for tolerating it.

Dude, this is America. If something is unconstitutional it's declared so through a peaceful legal process, and not by a bunch of wackos sitting around at the trailer park and deciding to settle things with their guns.
The "useful idiots" howling about how Sarah Palin is "responsible" for the AZ killing similar to the those who blamed JFK assasination on the the "far right". Turned out the guy who shot JFK was a Communist, a fact today unknown by 90% of those under 50.
Sarah Palin's husband and children get FREE health care in Alaska---not only because she was Governor, but because the hubby and kids are part Eskimo. You don't hear Sarah complaining about THAT kind of health care, do you?
