uh Mike, I think JoeB has won the argument.
Just so we're clear:
Sarah Palin said repeatedly, "Don't retreat, reload." It's on YouTube and all the networks.
Some guy we've never heard of at DailyKos who reached about a dozen people said last week, "She's dead to me."
And you think that's more or less equal influence, right, Michael?
Higby that "target" you put up as a response/debate to Joe B. post is pretty weak.
I hope the next time you do a little more home work. You don't not want to appear as stupid as Red-Spot.

Removing this from Kos was the wrong thing to. It plays right into the hands of the politicians exploiting a tragedy to propose new curbs on free speech. Obviously BoyBlue didn't mean "dead" literally. He meant he was finished supporting her. By apologizing he handed it right to the Republicans.
Those of you pinning this on Palin should back off, too. Yes, Palin is a knuckledragger, but when you connect the actions of every lunatic back to something silly she said or published on a campaign graphic, you only empower her. Get serious if you don't want her in charge someday, because it could happen.
By the way, the first thing I noticed was the headline, "My CongressWOMAN voted against Nancy Pelosi!" Woman is emphasized in all caps suggesting Giffords was expected to vote for Pelosi on account of the XX chromosome. Any action to contrary--any independent thought--is unacceptable.
This guy was a glaring 5150 who slipped through the safety net and the results........

The liberals, thinking there was a 40 year political realingment in 2008 are now facing an 80 year one in 2012.
They will lie, cheat, steal and say anything at this point to fight back.
Too bad all their nonsense is on the Internet where it can be easily cached, even if they pull it down.
The point is politicians have used gun, military, war, etc. reference/allusions in politics for centuries. All sides have done so.
For folks like Joseph Mailander, Markos, et al to act as if it was just invented last fall by Sarah Palin is, well, silly.

The problem with the DemoCRAPS is that they all live by the Saul Alinsky rule book.
Instead of arguing the ISSUES, they PERSONALLY DESTROY the opponent, and Maleander is no different.
When you can't argue the merits, you lose the control. Epic fail, indeed.
The second image linked to is a fake. That map did appear on the Daily Kos website but without the bullseyes.
So here we have another instance of the right wing trying to draw false equivalencies instead of trying to curtail the hateful and violent rhetoric in their party.
Seems to me and the rest of America that some people are on the defensive here....

8:57, time will tell. Right now, the only recent "win" had by anyone is by the House Republicans. Meanwhile, Obama is sorely in need of a string of wins that the PUBLIC approves of (i.e. not Obamacare).
I guess neither Higby nor the lefties on this comments section understands what "epic" fail really means.

NOONE won the argument because there was nothing to argue. A lunatic shot a congresswoman on his own accord, end of story. Blaming Sarah Palin's "influence" is just stupid. The shooter's obsession with Giffords dates back to 2007 when few outside of Alaska had heard of Palin. Sorry it doesn't fit your world view, but the shooter isn't a right-winger. He isn't a Republican. He isn't a teapartier. He's mentally disturbed, plain and simple. So stop being so disingenuous. It's predictable and boring.

A GREAT WAY TO USE THIS MEDIUM TO COMMUNICATE WITH OTHERS. NO ONE IS GOING TO JOIN YOU IF THEY DON'T KNOW YOU OR WHAT YOU WOULD DO. YOU HAVE TO GIVE THEM A WAY TO GET TO KNOW YOU WITH OUT THE FEW PUBLIC APPEARENCES YOU GET. THE PAPER WILL DILUTE ANYTHING YOU SAY EXCEPT IF YOU AN INCUMBENT. NICE,HUH! SOME DEMOCRACY. PEOPLE WILL LOOK AND LEARN IF YOU GIVE THEM A CHANCE ALSO GO DOOR TO DOOR. IT'S YOUR BEST BET.
