We received this from prominent CD 14 Activist Caroline Aguirre regarding a past comment here at Outtakes.
On 12-04-10 an individual who identified themselves as Anonymous posted statements attributed to me as stating that young Occidental College students, both young adults and minors had been consuming alcohol to the point of alcohol intoxication at an establishment own by Rudy Martinez located in CD 14. first and foremost to the person ID as Anonymous. For those individuals who know me , know that I can speak up for myself. I also suggest that Anonymous first verify that the information they are posting is true and accurate. And if they are going to refer to me I suggest that at the very least they learn how to spell my name.
This is the accurate information. During the past two years the residents who reside around Occidental College have seen a major decrease in the number of college students who are observed walking home from local bars in an intoxicated state. Prior to this most were observed exiting from the York Bar.
Hats off to the Occidental College Security Staff, Occidental College students themselves, residents of CD 14 and to the bar owners to and include Rudy Martinez.

As Caroline Aguirre stated above, she can speak for herself and pity the politico who is the recipient of her discerning demeanor which in this case, is none other than Councilman Jose Huizar.
On September 25, 2010, "Team Huizar" decided that it was within their powers to exert local control over federal property, in this case the York Blvd U.S. Post Office parking lot and why this brazen takeover of post office parking spots during normal Saturday hours? (They even took over the handicap parking!) To promote the image of a "take charge councilperson" of course. But then it seems that no one took charge of filing out the appropriate paper work, this according to Aguirre and the Office of Congressman Xavier Bacerra.
But then this is the same councilman who ignores public records requests.
** On the subject of public records, LA weekly Editor Jill Stewart is the latest scribe to opine on Councilman "Tricky Huizzy's" less than stellar record as a councilperson and purveyor of public documents.
One important fact here in the CLARTS Fund Controversy, from the vague documents that Tricky Huizzy now cites as "transparency in action", is from 2005 to the present, "Tricky Huizzy" has made 11 transfers of $50,000 or more to the "General City Purpose" account. In addition, Tricky Huizzy has steered $1.217 million dollars into his "Council Office" account. This totals to $1.767 million dollars of the CLARTS Fund that has been allocated for what?
...... and now you see the need for "true line-item transparency".

I remember when Red Spot was boasting and preening over having had 40 comments on a recent post, failing to note that about 30 of them were corrections by the wonderful and hilarious Retired LAUSD, who I think was a teacher of mine for several years in high school. The humor is decidedly reminiscent!
Retired LAUSD really looks like a hacky, time on their hands, stay at home commenter when Scott's reporting, good, bad, indifferent, or misspelled is driving coverage at the other Fishwraps in town when it comes to CD14.
The joke was funny once, maybe twice. But we know who these folks are and their agenda is really, well, sad.

Your buddy Phil Jennerjahn says that the LA City Council is a bunch of "muslim sympathizers," simply because they want to be an all inclusive body. Then, he has the nerve to say that he won't be supportive of the muslim community "if elected to public office," as if there's a whiff of a chance of that happening. You still think this guy is smart? In what planetary galaxy?
Would someone please explain what point Caroline Aguirre is trying to make? It's totally unclear.
I am once again just astounded no make that flabergasted that a member of our very own city council might, might mind you, not be transparent in what they are doing with public funds. The trust that I have placed in our city council, the LADWP and hizz honor da mayor is just about gone. And we thought things in the banana republic of Bell were bad.

that parking lot next to the post office is not owned by the federal goverment but is owned by a private individual who could have rented it, to anyone. cant blame rudy. cant blame huizar.... any one can use it any night if they are not caught.
Red Spot, I have bad news for you. Huizar will be re-elected regardless of the hundreds of hours you will spend writing illegible rants about him between now and March. Do something productive with that time. Thanks to the efforts of the Obama administration there are many job retraining programs available to help people succeed in the 21st century economy. Earlier this year Obama reaffirmed his commitment "to fundamentally change our approach to unemployment in this country, so that it's no longer just a time to look for a new job, but is also a time to prepare yourself for a better job." So to you, Red Spot, I say there is a future. There is hope. A new beginning. But only you can make the choice. Only you can choose to stop squandering precious time obsessing over Councilman Huizar (not to mention boring us to death) and get retrained for the new economy. Red Spot, I believe in you, and so does your President, the Honorable Barack Hussien Obama, Nobel Prize Winner and former president of the Harvard Law Review. We believe you can do anything you set your mind to, but first you must break destructive behaviors like obsessing over the local councilman. It's unhealthy and prevents you from acquiring the skills you will need to compete in the 21st century economy. Red Spot, make your resolution for 2011 to become a net contributor to society.
OMG!!!! The Sleazy Huizzy team of Parke Skelton is in full force posting. They must be scared out of their minds otherwise no one else cares about spelling errors or gramatically incorrect postings. We do however, care about important information Red Spot provides on a Councilman Huizar who has abused tax payer dollars. It has been reported stimulus money $630 million to LA has only be used 25%. People are saying its because there is strict documentation. Otherwise we all know the Failure of a Mayor would have given it to his croonies. Read the Daily News column that shows Huizar was re elected with only 10% of the vote or a little over 4,000. With all the corruption, the deteroriation of CD 14 especially in Boyle Heights and Huizar against anything American, I will bet like the LA Clean Sweep guys Huizar will have an uphill battle. Huizar is placing all his YES people on committees throughout the district. Jill Stewart should do a story on that. The same Huizar groupies are on all Huizar committees which are suppose to consists of various community members. The truth will come out

Stop maing personal attacks because that's what the groupies of Huizar/Villarigosa are known for doing. They personally attack anyone who is not on board with their corrupt agenda. Secondly, all anyone has to do is drive around CD14 especially Boyle Heights. Ask yourself does it look better or worse then before Huizar took office. It looks far worse like a 3rd world country like Reyes area does too. The grafitti, illegal vending, blight, trash, oil on sidewalks, crap all over the place. Councilmembers who don't take pride of their communities live just like the pigs they encourage not to clean up. CD14 looks much worse and Huizar should NOT be elected again for that very reason

Huizar will only win with voter's fraud. People showing up to vote under someone elses name. Normally, a person that has a history of not voting, and is registered to vote.
We need to request for a change, to be able to vote AND you must have sometype of ID. If you are a USA citizens, which you must be in order to vote, you should have sometype of legal ID. So why do we not require ID to vote in the City of Los Angeles?
Huizar has disrespected Boyle Heights by not having community meetings, he has only had one public community meeting, when he was first elected 2006. He does not value the community's concerns or issues on DWP rates raised, or any other increases for homeowners.
He has never met with the Boyle Heights Resident Homeowners Association, Inc. established 1998.
Except for the Officers installation dinner.
It is proven that Jose Huizar has only a hand full of groupies beside his employees, that have been installed in various commissions or advisory boards, but if you look, is only about five or six people assigned to the various post. This people are not very sofisticated or knowledgeble, most have never left Boyle Heights, not knowledgeble of the world beyond Boyle Heights.
The same five people seat at BHNC, RAC, CPAB, BH COALISION, AND THE NEW METRO ADVISORY TEAM FOR THE BEAUTIFICATION OF fIRST STREET.
Please use the power of your vote wisely, and for the right candidate, Rudy Martinez. He is our opportunity to bring industry and jobs to Boyle Heights with transperency. I believe Rudy Martinez will take Boyle Heights iinto the a better qualiety oflife for its residence, and not only for big businesses. We need businesses to come to Boyle Heights, and we need help to the business struggling in Boyle Heigths.
