Mid-Afternoon Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Scene for Wednesday

"Bitter Jerry raising Arizona tourism revenue"
Nothing like a little liberal hypocrisy to awaken one from a self-impose bloggin slumber.
This latest example of liberal hypocrisy comes courtesy of former Governor Moonbeam, now elected Governor Bitter Jerry Brown and how does he show his thanks to the Latino Community for their overwhelming support? Paraphrasing Disney, "Jerry Brown, you were just elected California Governor again! Where are you going after your election? I'm going to Arizona!! LMAO!!
From the man who's union supporters attack Meg Whitman for hiring a illegal fraud unknowingly by the way, at $23 per hour, the Latino voters who bought into Gloria Allred and Housekeeper Nicky's theatrics are rewarded with this arrogant, in your face gesture, courtesy of Bitter Jerry. Gracias indeed!!
Thus, the Latino Community once again is treated to another glaring example of hypocrisy, courtesy of the political party that they support. And no outrage from the likes of City Councilman Ed Reyes, State Senator Gil Cedillo, Assemblyman Kevin De Leon or Mayor Antonio Villar? Go figure ..........
But then, every supposed political ideal from this crowd, has a low "build-in price" for looking the other way when the pursuit of political power, becomes more paramount.
BTW, did Joe B. take his video camera with Jerry, to film "Bitter Jerry's Raising Arizona Adventures? : )
OTHER NEWS:
** Guess which candidate for City Council is the recipient of the first Independent Expenditure of the March, 2011 Elections? Hint, he is not a incumbent.
** The "Reigning Blond" of the "Horseshoe on Spring Street" is looking seriously at running for the State Senate Seat that was vacated with the death of State Senator Jenny Oropeza. That leads us to this from my bloggin friend Michael Trujillo, who will surely appreciate this brief mention.
"Councilwoman Hahn is looking at where she can be the most effective in getting Californians back to work," Michael Trujillo, a political consultant close to the councilwoman, wrote in an e-mail.
Hey Mike, ask the "San Pedro Splash" about the status of her plan to buy the Dodgers with our tax dollars.
** The "Old Gray Hag on Spring Street" reverts back to its "LA Antonia Times Persona" with its profile on Mayor Antonio Villar's Chief of Staff Jeff Carr. While opinions vary on his job performance as Chief of Staff, this group should sum up his "Legacy" as the "General Secretary of Gang Reduction, Youth Development Department (GRYD). BTW, we hear that a certain group is getting booted from the Hazard Park Armory? Drinking and fundraising doesn't pay, especially in political capital.
Your thoughts..............

Rudy Martinez is going to give Huizar a run for his money on the City Council race. An upset would shake the power structure at City Hall to the core.

Thats interesting you say that?

I mean i guess the 14th council district likes to vote for the following for people that just registered to vote as a democrat as of August this year.

We should all change the calculation on how the eastside votes -- apparently its not just red spot who is the republican anymore.

Speaking of Republicans -- I mean Rudy first registers as a Republican and then decides he is a democrats only as of August?

Odd.
