No surprise there.

But chew on this Joe:

JAN BREWER, EASILY RE-ELECTED IN ARIZONA.

Joe-

If Harry Reid DOES win tonight, should the Senate Dems keep him as majority speaker?

Or do you think they should switch to Chuck Schumer?

Looks like the Republicans have cornered the market on high profile ethnic wins with Nikki Haley in South Carolina and Marco Rubio in Florida.

The big news about the Rubio win is that in a three way race, he landed 51%, which is unheard of.

Rubio is anti-choice, which is the only reason I don't like him. But I suspect that with the exploding Latino population in the US, he will make a viable presidential canidate in 6 years.

9:27pm, Joe just needs something to cling to. Let him have it. "Noone" is calling the election yet, but Brown will ultimately win.

Let Joe have the California wins; the man needs his blankie to cling to too.

I can't wait for California to start looking like the mid 1970s again!

In a way, I feel bad for old Jerry. He's going to have to preside over the State's bankruptcy.

I don't know why anyone is crowing about jerry brown.

The big "get" tonight is the control of the House.

But if there's a second best prize, it's the governorships, because all of the redistricting in advance of 2012 will now be heavily controlled by the Republican governors.

To ignore this is to be foolish. These are both very, very bad for Obama.

Ridicule it all you want. It's the truth.

What happened to the bloodbath?

November 02, 2010 10:01 PM

Anonymous Anonymous said:

To add something that a commenter said about the Republicans making huge inroads with ethnic candidates, you left one out.

Yes, Florida now has the future star Marco Rubio as Senator.

Yes, South Carolina has Indian Nikki Haley.

But the R-E-P-U-B-L-I-C-A-N-S now have the nation's first female Latina Governor, in New Mexico.

When it comes to ethnic minorities, this was a landmark day for Republicans, odd as that may seem to some of you.

November 02, 2010 10:13 PM

Joe, this WAS a bloodbath.

No party has won anywhere NEAR 60 seats in the House in a mid-term in more than 60 years.

It's purely childish to suggest otherwise.

Moreover, while the Dems kept the Senate, they only have a few point lead.

You know all the crap you've taken lately about being childish in your posts? Try not to live down to it. It only suggests that you don't understand.

Joe-when a House Speaker loses his or her seat, it's a hugely rare occasion (i.e. a blood bath).

Tip O'Neill never lost his Speakership. His lasted Decades. Nancy's lasted six years.

Jeez, Joe B. Reading your excuses is like watching a child lie. You've obviously never been gracious in defeat. The Dems lost the house by a huge number. Be gracious and admit what everyone else already knows. Obama was an experiment that failed miserably, since he had 100% control. Today was a commentary on the last two years. Even the Senate lead for the Democrats has whittled away.

Come Wednesday morning, it's obvious who has the momentum. It'll be interesting to see if Obama continues to be defiant.

What I really found funny is that Pelosi INSISTED that the Dems would maintain the House. Sad.

Joe,

A baseball game won 1-0 gives you the same number of wins as a 5-0 game and a 15-0 game.

That's about as simple a way I can explain it to you. Wins are wins, and they're the only thing that count.

Close doesn't count and it won't pay the mortgage.

Joe is too childish to write about it, but KARL ROVE was absolutely correct about Delaware.

He said nominating Christine O'Donnell was a mistake because it knocked out Mike Cassell, a shoe-in to keep his Senatorial seat.

I gather that Joe B. doesn't really understand politics. Even if you don't like him, Karl Rove understands politics inside and out.

Another thing that Joe will never tell you is that he is FREAKED OUT by the fact that Obama's old Senate seat is NOW IN THE HANDS OF A REPUBLICAN!

In other words, the people who once voted Obama into the Senate now voted in a Republican.

Obama is the next to go. 2 years and counting, and without a Congress to rubber stamp him. Death for B. Hussein Obamacare.

November 03, 2010 12:29 AM

Joe childishly wondered where the blowout was, as if that mattered. Well here is what THE WALL STREET JOURNAL HAS ON ITS FRONT PAGE HEADLINE:

"GOP Tide Claims House; Reid, Democrats Hold Senate

Voters dealt a stiff rebuke to Obama and the Democratic Party, in a HISTORIC WAVE that swept the GOP to power in most levels of government and corners of the country."

SORRY JOE, BUT THE WALL STREET JOURNAL KNOWS A THING OR TWO THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T COMPREHEND.

Obama has a big hangover this morning.

The most important thing, after losing the House of Reps, is that there are now VASTLY more Republican GOVERNORS in the U.S., and that means a major advantage for Congress to do the redistricting that will heavily impact the 2012 election.

Sorry Baracko!
