Why Janice Boycotts

The Great Councilwoman Janice Hahn!

Why did Janice Hahn lead the effort to have the City boycott business with Arizona? Pure and simple she's in a race for Lt Governor with the controversial but still popular San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. If Newsom, who is also leading a boycott effort in his city, or Hahn are to earn the Democratic nomination they'll need to reach out for Latino votes. With neither having a natural Latino base both must do whatever it takes to get every last vote.

The whole thing is ironic because whichever of the two gets their party's nod will face a Latino in the general election, Republican Lt. Governor Abel Maldonado who has shown an ability to attract votes from Democrats and independents.

Now on the other hand there is Hahn's partner in crime on the matter, Councilmember Paul Koretz. Right now there is a whole lot of buyers' remorse in the 5th Council District where Koretz barely won election over Neighborhood Council favorite David Vahedi. Koretz, in making bizarre remarks comparing Arizona to Nazi Germany has earned the scorn of critics from various Jewish groups to radio talk show host Tim Conway, Jr. who stated on his KFI radio show Saturday that Koretz really sounds like someone who should be institutionalized.

In the meantime while this nutty circus plays out under the big top on Spring Street the Clowncil won't have the time to address more important issues like the City's budget mess. Though they are putting some window dressing on that

It's a common saw in the Hahn Family that Janice got the old man's personality and Jimmy got his brains.

If Janice Hahn's brains were dynamite, and detonated, it wouldn't even mess up her hair style. Janice is highly likely to succeed where even her dim-wit brother failed, in truly tarnishing the Hahn family name. Yes her father was a great man in Los Angeles, but his daughter is a stupid cow, no offense intended to bovines.
Janice Hahn may think she's courting Latino votes with her hysterical anti-Arizona boycott, but she's actually pissing off Latino voters, you know, the ones that actually are citizens and vote.

They "played the white man" and got their citizenship, whether by Reagan's amnesty or by submitting paperwork and waiting. They're legal.

They have no time for illegals who ruin their neighborhoods and give them a bad rap. But being the brain challenged oaf that she is, Janice Hahn thought a good way to connect with the voting Latinos is to support the illegals that they despise.

The LA TImes Opinion page has surprisingly kept open their opinion poll. As of 10:4pm on Sunday night, 33,435 Los Angelenos have cast votes, and 32,107 (96%) condemn the Los Angeles City Council's boycott.

The 32,107 votes that clearly believe that Janice Hahn is wrong, is three times more voters than put Hahn into office in the March 2009 election.

As for Paul "Potato Head" Koretz, CD5 does not have buyers remorse, because they didn't buy him. Some obscure insurance broker in New Jersey bought that fat fuck Koretz a very convenient IE just before the run-off election, and that's what tipped the scales in Koretz's favor with a war chest for mailers.

Koretz might have gotten away with that, but for the fact that the New Jersey insurance broker has been linked to Alan Casden - the man who's company executives previously laundered campaign contributions in support of the previous CD5 councilmember.

Although Koretz got a clean bill of health from the City Ethics Commission (there's a f'ing surprise), rumor has it that the DA got a special prosecutor with a fat file and a mission to investigate the Koretzgate shenanigans fully.

Hahn won't win the Lt. Governor's race and will be termed out in 2013. Koretz will likely be the target of an investigation, and both will see the end of their careers.

If the City Council did ask the Lakers to refuse to play in Phoenix then I would believe these people were serious. Otherwise it's a typical political scam.

Time magazine let the hypocrites in the City of Angels off the hook. The Lakers are scheduled to play the Suns in the playoffs, which means a few games will be played in Phoenix.

Reported Time magazine: “Obviously, it would be absurd to expect the Lakers to boycott their series with the Suns.”

No, it would not be absurd.

It would be proper.

I disagree with this boycott, but it really is not a boycott but rather lip service from liberals.

A boycott involves sacrifice. Dr. Martin Luther King did not make exceptions to go to work during the Montgomery bus boycott. Blacks walked for over a year in protest.

And in Illinois, which is not boycotting Arizona, a school official barred a girl’s basketball team from playing in a playoff in Arizona.

Why not the NBA?

@1:16 AM,
Written like a true product of a watered down and ineffective education system that has been over run with the spawn of illegal aliens looking for free day care. Just trying to read your "jibber jabber" was painful.

Great stuff today. Media should start reporting the organizer of the Laker immigration protest was arrested for 4 felonies. His case comes up this week. He's trying to get support for himself and using Laker game. Why isn't the lazy ass reporters putting this info out. The LA County DA's office, which is working with the secretary of State, charged Lopez with four felonies: fraudulent voter registration, fraudulent document filing, perjury and fraudulent voting. A warrant was issued for his arrest and bail was set at $10,000

The problem at city hall is there are NO leaders or checks and balances. The individuals who complain the most are the same people that continue to vote for the LACK of LEADERSHIP, including the career politicians like Villaraigosa, Alarcon, Cardenas, Koretz, Wesson, Krekorian, politicians into office.

Let’s start the NO vote campaign against Lt. Gov. Candidate Janice Hahn on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 or STOP complaining.

OMG only 20 protesters showed up to the Laker game. Not even the organizer showed up., Could it be they are realizing the back lash of illegals in this country.
