Cut and Paste Briefs on the Los Angeles Political Scene for Tuesday

"Has someone been boycotting the dentist?"

Memo to "Janice Hahn for Lt. Governor" Campaign Manager Michael "MEAT" Trujillo, there is nothing worse in politics than a candidate for office, who panders to racial groups with cheap publicity stunts.
Your latest endeavor on the behalf of "Team Janice", is a classic example.
Attempting to one-up your candidate call for a boycott of all things Arizona, you now seek to advise the Los Angeles Lakers, on what to bring with them to Arizona, if they beat the Utah Jazz and move on to the play the "Los Sols" of Phoenix. (as of 8:30 PM Monday, they are looking to sweep).
Councilwoman Janice Hahn, who proposed the yet-to-be-approved city boycott, says she's sending a checklist of items for Lakers players to bring on road trips to Arizona so they don't end up spending one cent in the desert state.
"Councilwoman Hahn is confident that the Lakers are only going to need two trips to Arizona to sweep the series," Michael Trujillo, the manager of her campaign for Lieutenant Governor, told the Weekly. "Furthermore she will be sending a checklist of items for each Lakers player to bring so they won't need to purchase anything while in Arizona."
Hold the friggin presses!! Are you telling us that the likes of Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and the rest of the Lakers are going to give your cheap publicity stunt the time of day? I can't wait for Bryant to tweet his thoughts on your "checklist". BTW, can you send a copy to redspotincd14@yahoo.com? Maybe we can title this list the 80 FAKE ITEMS TO BOYCOTT IN ARIZONA. Sound familiar?
But all blogging mocking aside, have you given any consideration to a possible backlash, regarding your pandering on the Arizona issue?
As your "Team Janice" and "Team Gavin" seek to race "far-left" on the Arizona issue, most California voters are going to view your pandering with disdain. Whether it is "Team Janice" or "Team Gavin", that prevails in June, voters are going to look for someone on the important economic issues, that will prevent California from becoming "Greece in the USA". That also includes reining in entitlements to undocumented immigrants. Surely, KFI's John and Ken will have some new material, courtesy of you, to share with their million-plus audience on that front.
So Michael, pander on, seek to exploit the race card for all its vile worth. Plus, your political follies are always good for clickety clicks, right dum dums?
OTHER NEWS:
** Better yet, lets call this the "Mayor Parkervillar Bankrupt Chronicles".
Longtime Newsweek Magazine Beltway Conservative George Will, is the latest to "take keyboard" to the economic malaise at 200 Spring Street. Will offers this poignant observation and grasps of local civic history,
The mayor's residence is near Wilshire Boulevard, which is named for a socialist who made and lost several fortunes before dying destitute. The life of Henry Wilshire is a cautionary tale for this city where the climate is usually Mediterranean and the fiscal climate is now Greek.
** More bankruptcy observations ...............,
Civic watchdog Jack Humphreville, is the latest to grasp the possible role of bankruptcy in reforming the dysfunctional, financial state of affairs at City Hall.
Village to Village Blogger Paul Hatfield calls for Californians to use the ballot box in November, to enact pension reform.
** Lets play, "How much $$$$ is Chris Essel's CRA hording in its supposed, protected lockbox"? Did you say $100 million? 200 million?? 300 million? How about $304 million dollars? Then the next question is what are the likes of the CIM Group, AEG, and USC, going to get for their future development endeavors?
** Only in Los Angeles, is where you will find city elected officials, give a "land bank giveaway" to a billionaire, for his museum to self. In this case it is billionaire, "shadow mayor" Eli "Lord" Broad, who is given tribute from his admiring underlings.
LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY ACTIVIST ACTION ALERT!
WE CAN RAISE OUR VOICES TO BRING BACK THE VAN DE KAMPS COMMUNITY COLLEGE SATELLITE CAMPUS PROMISED BY THE LACCD BOARD OF TRUSTEES!
..... and thanks to the efforts of Dan Wright and the Van de Kamp Coalition, the LACCD blink in their scheme, in cooperation with Mayor Parkervillar, to misuse LACCD bond dollars. Now lets the investigations begin.
Your thoughts.................

Today is day 22 in Phil Jennerjahn's
"Help me become famous by signing a bogus petition in my self serving recall campaign".

As of today, Phil needs 44,000 valid signatures. To cover his ass, he should probably have closer to 60,000.

Walter Moore, who showed up at City Hall on the day the campaign started and strutted like a chicken in heat, has bailed on the campaign and now simply runs a link to the recall city hall site.

David Hernandez is focusing on his run for whatever he is running for this week and is no longer considered a front-lines campaigner.

Dege Coutee (Phil's girlfriend) was reportedly making a video on how to sign the recall petition, but then she got stoned and forgot all about that.

Phil Jennerjahn now is saying how much he hates Karen Bass ( the shoe-in for congress that he is running against)and focusing on his congressional disaster.

The recall campaign is dead, has been dead, and as of today is deader than ever.

The Mole is reporting that no serious counts are being made.
Best estimates are less than 10,000, maybe way less. A lot of pointless backslapping and chest beating is going on because egos need to be fed. There are no staffers. Money has dried up as well. Communication and strategy is non-existent. Jennerjahn crying that media barely touched the story.

I sure hope Higby bottlecaps YOUR efforts Red Snot. See how you like it.

It's amazing that you wrote this lengthy string of subjects, but did't mention PHil getting the ass clown award again, but I see someone did comment about the signatures, which you didn't write about either.

If you're going to put in some effort, you might want to include the more important subjects like Phil's achievements (the Ass Clown award) and failures (the recall and his campaign)

I'm the one who (prior to today) has been posting the expected signature count that Phil needs to not look like the ass hole that we all know him to be.

I can't tell you how PROUD of you that I am that others have picked up the subject.

Phil is a comprehensive failure. He is 0-for-life in pursuits.

And one thing about Dege Coochee is that she needs to stop with the god damn patchoulie and shave her pits and legs!!!

The SOLUTION is simple just BOYCOTT Janice Hahn and DWP rate increase by making all purchases outside the city of Los Angeles. Specifically, big ticket items, like cars, etc.

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom has pulled way ahead of Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn in the Democratic primary race for lieutenant governor, according to Newsom's internal polling.
Newsom has a 21 percentage point lead -- 47 percent to 26 -- with more cash on hand and only a month to go in the primary race. The rest -- one-third of the voters -- were undecided

So now it's spring FORWARD, fall BACK, Council SAVINGS TIME.

City Council pulls an "early-bird" special meeting this week, to discuss budget cuts . . . TRICKY! (I wish I's have thought of that!)

"Officially" it's a cancelled regular 10 a.m. Friday meeting, replaced by a "special" 9 a.m., Friday meeting -- same day), which requires less advance notice.

Will they have swept through the more controversial elements on the agenda by the time the regular crew of ranters and ravers have crawled out of their cardboard boxes on skidrow or hopped off the Red Line thinking the gates open at 10 a.m. -- and don't know what hit them?

Stay tuned, kiddies. If you can figure out what time to tune IN!?

22 days.

How many think Phil has even 1,000 signatures of the 44,000 valid ones he needs as of right now?

Too bad this fuck face can't admit he was in over his head. It's unfortunate that there won't be consequences, since he's obviously gonna finish in last place again in the dopey campaign he's "running."

The only consequence is that a REAL leader could've lead the recall if Phil didn't steal it, like a URL, for himself.

Phil, you are a dickhead for all time sake.

Congratulations on a QUICK return to the #1 ranking on B.N.N., which coincides with Zuma Dogg immediately dropping to #3 with his dopey Human Awareness Training. It eludes Zuma Dogg that people aren't going to trust Tony Robbins-like advice from a homeless guy who, ironically, rails against rent freezes. Free rent is only important to him when it pertains to HIM. Hippocrit!

I may just be a mindless URL, but you sir, are just mindless. FUCK YOU PHIL! FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU!

Everyone was excited when we heard Mayor Sam was back up. However, it seems as though its become more of a "hater blog" and not about the issues of the city where educated dialogue and opinions were posted. All this Phil negative comments are juvenile, immature and having people not wanting to visit this blog anymore. No other blog covering city issues is this immature. They moderate comments posted. I don't understand why this blog allows such dumb, juvenile, childlike posts. We need this blog as it use to be so people can vent their opinions on serious issues facing our city. By giving Phil so much attention and posts it takes away from what Mayor Sam can be.

Is this why Janice Hahn is desperately trying anything to get into the media?
In the horserace match-up, Newsom garners 47% of the vote, 21 points ahead of Janice Hahn who trails at 26%. The remaining 27% are currently undecided. The relatively low number of undecided voters indicates that it will be extraordinarily difficult for Hahn to obtain the necessary votes to overtake Newsom

It's ironic that you call US immature, but you don't think that some of Phil's recent activities are.

On top of that, this blog has ALWAYS been a bit of a playpen, and that's what makes it fun. STOP TRYING TO TELL US ABOUT THE BLOG'S POTENTIAL; TAKE IT FOR WHAT IT IS, OR FIND ONE THAT IS BETTER SUITED TO YOUR CONDESCENDING NEEDS.

With respect to the trouble that Phil is in, and not even aware of, there'll be more of that very soon.

As a long-time reader of, and (anonymoose) contributor to, Mayor Sam's, I can't recall when it wasn't a "hater" blog - INCLUDING me!

Seriously, what have you been reading?

No sane reader would ever call the digital playground of MEAT, Chief Faker, Zuma Beeyotch, Wacko Walter (the "gadfly" years), Parque Eskelto, the C&P hordes of CD14, Reed Spoot, etc., etc. a land of peace and goodwill.

The previously anon Mayor Sam was himself, the first to tell people to "go play on the freeway" or maybe "gargle with razor blades".

Maybe you bookmarked the wrong blog, 7:30 a.m.
