Is Wendy Greuel Serious About More Women on the Clowncil?
One of Wendy Greuel's reasons for endorsing controversial former Paramount Pictures executive Chris Essel to replace her on the City Council is that Essel comes similiarly equipped as Greuel.
But if that's really true why did Greuel endorse Paul Koretz for CD5 when there were several female candidates running?

i was at the press conference this morning. not a single member of the press showed up. they literally stood there and spoke to the street.
This was a pay off to AV pure and simple.

The truth is that Wendy has always been full of shit.
If any one had any doubts about it, this just confirms it.
If she was serious about supporting a women she would have endorsed Tamar. The only credible women, from the district with some thing to say.
This says a lot more about Wendy than it does about Chris.
Vote for Tamar, or any one but Essel.
The idea that Wendy is endorsing Chris because she is a women is nothing but a cover story.
Their are two three reasons for her endorsement of Edsel.
1- Pressure from AEG
2- Pressure from AV
3- Pressure from big west side donors
The rest is just BS.
So does Benson. And Benson doesn't have a history of supporting Home Depot in S-T, and failing to do anything with a $2 mill LAUSD post then jumping ship for bigger money.

Main difference between him and the other Shallman client Essel is she's not slimy and practiced in lying to the public in catchy soundbites like that amoral, unethical, egomaniac Nooch and his wingnut hangers-on.
Frankly, Shallman's doing nothing for Essel except making her suspect by association with Nuch.
Wendy won mainly because her main opponent couldn't speak English or raise any money. Yet she paid Shallman way too much anyway for a lightly contested race.

and if I remember correctly the Mayor absolutely despises Shallman.
Tamar, HA! That's a joke. The woman is voted in to provide to our children and what does she do....go for a hire position and leave our children behind after two years. That's like a high school drop out, Essel at least would do the job she is elected to do.
Chris Essel has so much common sense to bring to the table. Seriously! It would be a change to the same ol' stuff we've been getting for years.
Janice hahn wants to push for Sharon Papas over the male asst chiefs to enhance "girl power" and says it's time for a woman chief. Especially if the OC has a female Sheriff. Papas should be fulled considered but Paysinger and Beck are solid. McDonnell is being pushed so hard by Nooch's Bratton-haters and Antonovich came out for him today, which is cause for concern.
Attacking Essel just because WEndy says it's time for antoher woman is dumb. It's now 12:2 on the council so that is something to consider. Of course Tamar is a woman, too, she seems OK too, but would leave an empty LAUSD seat.

McDonnell is responsible for most of the gains inthe Bratton years. He is top dog.
Paysinger is not in the same league as Sharon or Charlie Beck, who are in the next echelon.
If Antonio is smart, he asks Jim to fill out the rest of Bratton's term and it is a done deal.
The council and the Commissioners all love McDonnell. He's the real thig.
