Way to focus on the issues with this posting. I feel much better informed.
All those comments from the same people drive up the ranking. But if you look, it didn't drive up the number of readers. Here's a "per post" ranking. Because not only do comments count toward the ranking, so does the number of posts.

Who is the single guy in his mom's basement (4:07) constantly criticizing the editorial decisions of this blog? A former MS blogger? Seriously, brother, get a life!
Petra, I'm not against great CD2 coverage, myself. But let's recognize here that there are two dimensions to every race: the people who know a lot and the people who know nothing. The people who know nothing often vote in at least equal numbers to the people who know a lot, and those are the people who are most vulnerable to the political consultants' dirtiest tricks.
As for me, I would love to see more about the political consultants involved in this race, and the money involved in this race. The old guard is really changing and even running a little scared now that they have failed in three straight elections, and now that the developer's son, John Thomas, has been involved in two of them. This is an angle that will be relevant to future elections and indeed the whole city.
Is John Thomas working with in this election? I haven't heard anything.
