Strange how Nuch is clutching a thin, shriveled-looking, glum Baca while he's grinning and even fatter Hertzberg is beaming and clutching HIM. "The Fatter the Happier?"

Baca and Brown look so much alike it's hard to tell them apart. Both have that same worried look, too. He looks unhappy or maybe shanghied to be in this picture with those two Republicans as he's about to run for Democratic Governor, and should be glad Antonio's out of the picture.

Let's see: Jerry Brown, Nuch Trutanich, and Bob Hertzberg? How about "Two Men and An Ego?"

The former and future Governor,

the current City Attorney,

and a guy who loves to tell you how a third place finish for Mayor is "almost winning."

Bob Hertzberg is an absolute jerk to everyone unless he needs them. He probably was very friendly to Nuch and Brown but an egomaniac to their staff and the limo driver.

Unless he was telling them how great he is, of course.

Won't Bob Hypesberg just go away?

Brown isn't even looking at the camera, is looking away from it in fact. He's not touching Trutanich, but Trutanich has a grip on him and is beaming at usual at the cameras.

Brown's body language and lack of eye contact tell it all: it's just a casual scene where Trutanich went upto him, put his arms around him. Trutanich's body language and eye contact say, he's got plans to use this photo sometime.

Reminds me of how he went upto Chief Bratton at a law enforcement conference where Trutanich wasn't even an invited, went over to the Chief and put his arms around his back, had someone photograph them, and used that in a tv campaign ad. Bratton made it clear he never authorized the photo or was even aware it had been taken.

What do you wanna bet this photo of Trutanich with Brown, Hertzberg grabbing HIM ("get me in the photo, too! I can fit!") will end up somewhere?

That's what Brown's thinking, why he looks so worried. "Why did this guy grab me and what's he grinning about?"

OK, it's a holiday weekend so we can take it easy. NOT.
While everyone is asleep at the wheel Jan Perry has given the green light to picking up the tab for AEG to make millions on the Michael Jackson memorial.

Millions? I though the event was free? Look again. Yes all the Jackson fans who win their lottery tickets get in free, but what about the tv rights that AEG are selling? Don't kid me that AEG is doing this for nothing. This is a world wide event, and we're picking up the tab. Gratis. Freebie.

And it's not just the cost of the cops.

It's not just the disruption to the city - roads closed, travel routes changed.

It's the unknown cost of what will happen when the excess fans who don't have tickets, or who have bought black market tickets, cannot get in.

It's the cost of all the hucksters selling T shirts and the rest of that crap, and their fighting over territory.

It's the cost of the latino gangs, who are no fans of Jackson, taking advantage of the situation.

And who's there to maintain law and order? LAPD.

We've just paid out $13M to 'victims' of the May Day riots. How much will we pay out for this debacle?

You all know that there will be a contingent in the masses looking for confrontation with LAPD so that they can get a handout. So will someone please either stop this, or at least demand that AEG put up a $20M bond to cover the cost of the violence and lawsuits that will result from commercializing the self-inflicted death of a child molesting drug addict.

Oh, and where's our hard working Mayor when the biggest potential civil unrest is about to happen? Vacation in Africa.

And our President of the Clowncil Garcetti? Vacation in Italy.

Jan Perry's the one who has signed off on this obscene waste of public money and disaster waiting to happen.

If LA is going to host the hundreds of thousands of Jackson fans who will cause unrest and disruption, then LA should demand that the people responsible for this - AEG, should pick up the tab.

Santa Barbara had the sense to say 'No' to the commercialization of the death of Jackson, where's the leadership in LA? On vacation. How convenient.

It feels like I'm in the minority here, but I hope Hertzberg runs for mayor again. I thought he was ballsy and innovative.

I think he owns 50% of Smart Car and some other alternative energy businesses. My kind of guy.

Geez, I hope you're not counting the ones pressed against his bare thighs while he was getting his (own) good stuff "done" in the Oval Office.

In the end, that will be "BJ" Bill's only REAL legacy, unless Hillary ever finally becomes president. Then he'll get TWO footnotes in the history books.
