Is "One Bill Gil" heading into the gutter??
Some cynic observers of this race in it's early days, thought that former Villar Staffer, Emanuel Pleitez was a "plant" of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, to take latino/latina votes away from State Senator Gil Cedillo and benefit Judy Chu in her bid to replace Hilda Solis in Congress.
Whether that was an "Parke Skelton thought" or wasteful thinking, the latest ad from the "One Bill Gil Campaign" will surely ignite the bloggin masses into dialog over the tactics employed by the Cedillo Campaign.
.....and the early comments do not bid well for Cedillo as posted on Calitics.

Just goes to show how out of touch Cedillo is with the Millennial Generation, that "gang" sign Emanuel and Actress Rosario Dawson are showing is actually the sign for Voto Latino one of the organizations that Emanuel and I both support.
Voto Latino is a Latino youth geared non-profit that registers Latino/a constituencies and gets them out to vote. I guess that's not an issue for Cedillo or else he might have thought twice about this silly mailer. Shame on him.
and driver licenses will still be for legal citizens.........

Gil, it is very simple. The people behind Judy Chu have made a career of taking away hard won Latino seats. Villaraigosa turned over the first ever Assembly seat won by a Latinos to Jackie Goldberg - the second Assembly seat in history won by Latinos was awarded to Judy Chu - Cruz Bustamante left his speakership of the Assembly to Antonio who then gave it to Robert Hertzberg - and Hilda Solis is leaving a Latino congressional seat to Judy Chu.
Tell your dumbass consultants to make a piece out of that. Attacking Pleitez - whose candidacy is part the Judy Chu's(Skelton's) master plan - is playing right into their game plan - divide and conquer. Has anyone in your camp read Saul Alinsky?
If you are going to tow the Latino line at least be smart about it. you just lost allthose young Latinos who wouldn't mind seeing a cool congressman - after stale Solis, Becerra and Roybal Allard, who can blame them.

Latino seats? That's offensive. Do people that sit in Latino seats represent everyone in the district, or only Latinos? I am white and maybe I'll run for office and represent white people from my White seat. It's over for Latino politicians anyway. The few in charge ruined it for everyone. Remember how Antonio got elected the first time? Molina and pals screeched that spanish-speaking Mabey, a deputy to Richard Polanco, had no business representing Polanco's district, because it was a "Latino" seat. Antonio chimed in and won, even though his spanish was atrocious at the time. Six years later, no one remembered that rationale and Antonio anointed ACLU buddy Jackie Goldberg to take his seat over qualified Latino candidates. No one is "entitled" to a seat. Let the best candidate win. Both Judy and Gil will fairly represent the diverse constituencies of the district if elected.
