Prediction: Higby will still need to lose weight at this time next year, and that greasy photo of him will remain.
Oh please, I can't stand this hate anymore. Michael - you're awesome. Even when you're mad at me.
David Saltsburg will fail to file all campaign documents required and ultimately be fined, or perhaps jailed due to his uncontrollable outbursts of threats and menacing comments.
By next year, he'll be blogging from a mental institution or a penal one.
Predictions:
Antonio, Wendy, Measure B get 57% or better. Koretz vs Galperin runoff in CD5. Weiss vs Nuch runoff with the two in a dead heat.
Prediction: Tony Villar forced into runoff. Zuma cleans house.
This has to be the worst election in the city's history. The Mayor will be leaving to New York on March 6th then heading off again to Washington. Will come back to Los Angeles and start campigning for Govenor all on our dime. New York Times is now getting the readers LA Slimes has lost. They will not hold back reporting the facts about this corrupt Mayor in LA.
I predict Don Quixote will have 50,000 write in votes for mayor of Los Angeles. si se puede.
We will all celebrate with a bowl of my menudo. muy bueno y sabroso.
Sorry Zuma Perro my nieto will be the next mayor of Los Angeles.
There is a featured photo of me in the column by Hector Tobar featured in the LA Times today.
It helps, but they did a terrible job overall of covering this election.
Headed to City Council today.
Prediction: Zooma Dogg sheds his now smelly black suit with blue shirt and is screaming at the next council session because he insists that the 5 votes he got must be good enough to redeem for at least a city council job. "Please someone hire me! I know good stuff! I ran for Mayor! DON'T STOP BELIEVIN' Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming! Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming! Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming! Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming! Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming! Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming Dr. Deming!"
Must you call everyone dum dums? That's twice recently. So now it's like anyone who says something now is a dum dum. It's not like you to be so dull. I expect you to be more clever. I'm not that clever but I'm not a dum dum.
I see that many have definitely responded to my request for stupidity. Good job!
J. Scott -
"Blog away dum dums." is an old Mayor Sam saying that goes back to the very early days of the blog along with "Go play on the freeway," or "Gargle with razor blades."
"Blog away dum dums" was created by none other than good old Michael "Chief Parker MEAT" Trujillo himself and its meant only in the strictest terms of affection.
8:00 AM- Zuma got 2 votes from my household alone. He'll be lookin good by day's end.
That makes more sense. No wonder nobody gets upset by the dum dum comment. You are as clever as ever.
what are the chances craig x. forgets to vote today?
Walter Moore Hates Spanish Speaking Mexicans
http://laeastside.com/2009/03/walter-moore-hates-spanish-speaking-mexicans/
i hate spanish speaking mexicans, too.
Higby loves using other peoples' phrases.
Dear Mayor Slovenly,
Stop using the word "Drug" as a verb.
You may now go back to your third jelly donut, dumbass. I mean dum dum. No, I mean fatso.
There. That's more like it. You taught us well, jelly belly with the greasy photo
Hey when did Villaraigosa hire Alger?
I guess he thinks AV will support him for CD12. FAIL!
Prediction: Less than 20% voter turnout, no runoff, Hernandez comes in second.
Wacko Walter Loons should be canvassing and not blogging.
turnout will be 12%.
zooma dogg is a pussy.
What kind of an entertainer are you Phil?
I saw you had this listed as your occupation on the ballot when I voted this morning. I thought you were supposed to be a lawyer or something.
It's academic at this point, but what do you do to pay your rent?
What do ya know 9:37. The Wacko Loons take their marching orders from the top. Wacko's blogging over at the Daily News.

It's academic at this point, but what do you do to pay your rent?
What do you do, MC?
Prediction: Not enough for a runoff, but ZD comes in 2nd. Hernandez 3rd.
Where is Don Quixote?
There are thousands of Latinos 3rd and 4th generation who can't stand people who only speak Spanish. If our politicans stop catering to the illegals and making everything in Spanish they would learn ENGLISH. This is America. If the Asians who have many stores in Latino communities can learn Spanish what does that say? Illegals need to get with the program
I held my nose this morning, and cast a vote for Phil Jennerjahn for mayor -- not because he stands any chance, not because I think he might make a good mayor, not because I necessarily agree with his policies, and not because I want him to win - or even show well.
I voted for him because he seemed the LEAST like Antonio Villaraigosa of any of the more visible choices (the 3-4 "giant" dwarves among the 9).
Moore, Soupy Dogg, Hernandez, etc. (and who knows who the others are), are all performers, kvetchers, contrarians, prima donnas, even deluded "lets go back to 1950" English-only flat-earthers, and self-promoters all -- each lacking any real vision other than "LOOK AT ME, MOMMY!"
That's where we went wrong four years ago, by electing the "look at me" candidate, when what we needed, and still need is a "look at the city and its real needs" crusader.
I always vote, regardless of how dismal the choices, and I seldom vote simply in "protest" - but this time I really had no other options.
This is what we've come to in our fair city. I LOVE Los Angeles as much as I always have. . . I'm just thinking of sleeping on the couch alone for awhile until we can get to "couples" counseling.
2:56 p.m.
"By next year, (Zuma Dogg'll) be blogging from a mental institution. . .
Is this your sneaky way of saying he's going to run for City Clowncil?
10:17
There are thousands of Latinos 3rd and 4th generation who can't stand people who only speak Spanish. . .
First off, your premise is silly, or perhaps just poorly communicated. If there are people who "can't stand" someone else because of the language they speak; if they hate someone else because they've failed to learn a second language, then they don't deserve to be listened to... they're too ignorant and intolerant to be a factor.
What I'm guessing you may have meant to say (but don't communicate that well in English yourself), is that they hate "the fact" that some other Latinos haven't learned to speak English yet.
In any case, if you're presenting this tripe as some kind of evidence, the numbers you present work against you.
If there are "thousands" of these can't-standers -- then realize there are MILLIONS of other Latinos that "can" stand it, or don't care one way or the other (because there are millions of Latinos in L.A.).
What reasonable politician would side with a tiny minority of "thousands" when "millions" are either okay with it, or favor it.
Democracy is a numbers game. Yours mean the current City leaders are doing what the majority wants already.
Yeah, it can be a bitch sometimes getting people to understand you, but deal with it. Learn a couple words, point, smile, ask for help in translation from someone nearby.
We've guaranteed "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" here. It doesn't say anything about "everyone will speak your language."
It ain't the end of the world.
We're not the first country in modern times that hasn't been able to maintain a "one language" existence, and we won't be the last.
Maybe that's not all bad. But either way, it's not for the "thousands" of your acquaintances to decide against the "millions" of others.
Fatso, your pussy boy zooma dogg was back in his terrorist attire and screaming at city council, speaking off topic and wearing a greasy baseball shirt.
So much for his "rebranding" himself, like you declared just yesterday.
What happened Higby?
Not looking good for Weiss.
I had to get another donation from Doug McIntyre to cover the cost of pies at my victory party in case Higby shows up.
10;17: "Illegals need to get with the program"
For sure. They need to go back to where they came from and enter legally and with dignity.
Just voted for Zuma Dogg in Sunland, at Burns Manor. Got a parking spot right out front and there wasn't anyone inside voting except me. When I left 2 more people showed up but seems kinda slow. Maybe because it's still early- 11:30 am.
Chance of showers on election night: slight. Chance of voters: slighter.
Weather, political inevitability and voter fatigue may create a perfect storm for low voter turnout today, experts say.
Possible rain tonight may drive down the already dismal number of voters expected to show up at the polls to vote in the Los Angeles city election - especially if those voters are Democrats, said political science professor Nadine Koch.
"When we have inclement weather, the Democratic (Party) turnout is usually a little lower," said Koch, a professor and associate dean of undergraduate studies at California State University, Los Angeles.
One reason, she said, is that Democrats tend to include more lower-income voters who must either walk to polls or rely on public transportation.
And she said after an endless stream of local and national elections, many California voters tend to succumb to voter fatigue.
Any guess as to how many votes Suzy "I look like a tranny" Evans will get?
Hey Walter- That's funny, I don't care who you are. You seem like kind of a jerk but I like your sense of humor.
DEAR FAT GREASY SLOB BLOGGER,
CHANGE THAT DISGUSTING PHOTO OF URSELF, CHUBBY!
ZOOMA-TERRORIST WAS IN FULL SWING TODAY WITHOUT HIS BLACK SUIT AND BLUE SHIRT. HE WAS SCREAMING AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS AT ERIC GARCETTI AND HAD HIS MICROPHONE SHUT DOWN.
VOTING FOR ZOOMA-TARD WILL ONLY HELP ANTONIO. IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT, GET READY FOR TWO YEARS OF THE MIDGET MAYOR, WHO AT LEAST IS CLEAN AND WELL SCRUBBED AND NEVER YELLS AND SCREAMS LIKE THE TODDLER ZOOMA TARD PRESENTS HIMSELF AS ALMOST EVERY DAY.
I THOUGHT MAYOR SAM OR JOE B SAID THAT THERE'S A NEW DAVE SALTSBURG. WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM? WERE ALL OF THE THINGS HE SAID DURING HIS DISORGANIZED CAMPAIGN FAKE LIKE THE BLACK SUIT?

11:48 seems a bit unhinged.
As awful as they say Zoomer is they sure do talk a lot about him.
Who is that guy Jim Alger? I heard about him from our Neighborhood Council. Not well liked. He sure likes to talk about Zoomer.
I can see Wacko is losing by Mary's koo-koo post up @ 11:48 AM Mary melting down.
Nuch won't score nearly as high as high pandering nattering group of old homeowner association NIMBYs and Cooley's white Republican rednecks kept promising him he would. His base is small given the size of L A.
He said he'd show at McIntyre's LAX area Pitchforks Rally last night, along with Walter Moore, Zuma and the other gadflies, scaring up votes.
Had to drag his mentor/ boss DA Steve Cooley out in front of the cameras last night to make personal attacks against Weiss.
Talk about sinking as low as you can go -- then Cooley calls Weiss elitist, arrogant, and more redneck stuff, and sums it up, "He's just not my kind of guy." No, Weiss hasn't sent out nasty Mother Goose-themed mailers with lies and distortions about other candidates, and the last one was even lower, crasser and cruder.
Can you imagine Weiss, Bratton and Antonio, or Garcetti, Greuel -- even any of the ones this blog loves to hate -- "campaigning" this way? Only their buddy and blog fave Zine.
Higby, do you know that YOU are the source credited in Nuch's website for his attacks on Weiss? Along with kaye's blog? Two right- wing sites whose life-blood is slinging highly opinionated, vulgarly expressed dirt at anyone at City Hall especially those associated with Antonio.
But at least, you don't even pretend to be factual, just mongering in "rumor and innuendo." Providing a hits-inducing forum for Quackers. qvetchers and malcontents of every stripe.
Then you get someone who's running for an office that requires the highest credibility, using you two as "media sources." Reflects who he is and how he's run.
Good post Shallman. You better get back to work getting your voters out there. It's looking bad!
Don quixote is crying about Walter Moore at L.A.Eastside blog. Don quixote the dumb racist old cholo would benefit from a healthy ass whipping.
The only silver lining behind this cloudy, gloomy election is that after this, "Wacko" Walter will go away and never be heard from in L.A. again.
I'm betting his bags are already packed, and he probably has a freighter hired to take his intolerant behind away to the world capital of intolerance, France.
The tarnish on that silver lining is that Zuma Dogg probably won't go away. HIS bags are packed all right, because he's a flat-out bum (so, his bags are always packed).
But he really has no place to go, and the publicity that this blog and actual "real" media have given him is like cocaine to an addict.
He'll be jonesing for it, real bad, all over town though. Will media and elected officials ever learn to "just say no" to his habit, however?
12:38 PM stop threatening to harm people, have them arrested, or have them shut out from talk radio. You're a puny bully behind a keyboard trying to scare up votes for Wacko Moore. But you don't really believe Ace Smith would be silent about you in a runoff. If Ace were ever forced to take Wacko seriously, ha, ha, you become a campaign topic.
Thier watching you Mary...
It's going to be so funny watching Zuma'tard when he comes to City Hall on Wednesday after getting 500 votes!
M-m-m-m-m-m-m-m
is
K-k-k-k-k-k-k-krazee!
Zooma Mutt is higbys pussy boy, and oh how they are going to have to spin things when it's all done by tonight. all they will have left is to choose whether to go after WM or AV.
Either way, higby and his pussy boy zooma, are going to be fun to watch. One is smelly and homeless and the other is obese and greasy.identical cousins
Their watching you Mary C @ 12:49 PM.
BOO!
Less than 4% turnout in Boyle Heights.
http://twitter.com/mayorsam/status/1275606301
Low turnout as predicted not looking good for Walter Moore.
That's what I'm talking about! 4% turnout, and then the people complain to city council for years and years.
We richly deserve these crooks. And if you're willing to put a homeless man who calls himself an economist and sings Journey songs and screams into the chambers microphones, then you are only adding to the problem.
It's not about Salty Dog
It's not about Walter
It's not about Craig X.
It's not about Gendergone
It's not about Higby
It's not about Joe B
It's not about Valley Dope
It's not about you.
It's not about me.
It's not about Delgadildo.
It's not about Laura Chick.
It's not about Matt Dowd.
It's about people being too damn lazy to get up to vote, and bring along friends and relatives to do the right thing and be heard.

Zuma's got 5 votes in my home, and the younger one can get a few more friends out for a few more, then the relatives, and there's few right there from immediately accessible votes.
cd-14
How can you tell turnout if all people have not yet voted will be casting their vote before 8pm closing?
DID YOU MEAN "SO FAR?"
inquiring minds want to know.
CA: Weiss/Trutanich in run-off, Trutanich in 1st. Amerian might overcome Weiss for 2nd with a big CD5 vote.
Mayor: AV wins, but there is a significant protest vote, 30%+. AV loses CDs 5,11 and is close in 4.
Controller: A surprise run-off with Greuel just under 50%, Patsouras around 45% and Evans soaking up the rest.
CD5: Koretz v. Vahedi.
Prop B: Either wins or loses by a hair.
Turnout 13%

Thanks ubrayj02 and alienation. It is very interesting how the suburban existence that was propped up to us all as the ideal Ozzie and Harriet family situation has been unmasked as not that great after all and in fact a pain in the ass in many cases. The move back to urban centers is due to many factors among which are, avoidance of long commutes and all the bullshit involved with it, being closer to cultural and entertainment centers, and just the plain old convenience of living in the city.
ubray02, Capitalism, I think has run it’s course in history. It is a system based on profit and greed but it caused and abetted the industrial revolution and moved humanity from an agricultural and craft based system that depended on barter and exchange to a manufacturing, industrial, consumer driven world that created economies run on capital, credit, money and financial manipulation.
As valuable a system that Capitalism has been in creating industry, and modernization of societies, it had to depend on Imperialism, Colonisation, and a world market where the class system demanded that some had wealth and riches and most had a meager existence based on battling for wages.
Capitalism reached it’s zenith in the later part of the 20th century, but the fuel of Capitalism is greed, which was also a large part of it’s downfall.
The greed of the financial institutions that are the engine of Capitalism was allowed to run at hyper speed, unchecked and unregulated, and the engine blew apart.
Monopoly and laisse faire Capitalism reigned supreme but without controls Capitalism devoured itself, cannibalism is an inherent ingredient in it’s DNA.
Capitalism is not a religion or some Godly gift to humankind as the Calvinist’s believe, it’s just a system of economics that ran it’s course and imploded.
I’m hoping for a replacement based on more humane ideals, real free enterprise, smaller, non corporate industry, craft and artisan based workers, less conspicuous consumerism, one more concerned with the quality of life for humans than in propping up a failed class system of social Darwinism.
Everything changes eventually nothing is static for long in nature, we may be witnessing a new era for mankind, I hope it’s a positive one.
Where is haikoola on these issues?
How can anyone take City business seriously when they watch the court jester, damn Dogg prancing around wasting the time of working stiffs.
How can anyone take City business seriously when they watch the court jester, Tom LeBong prancing around wasting the time of working stiffs.
How can anyone take City business seriously when they watch the court jester, Tony Villaraigosa prancing around wasting the time of working stiffs.
Controller: A surprise run-off with Greuel just under 50%, Patsouras around 45% and Evans soaking up the rest.
WON'T HAPPEN. WE WORK FOR WENDY SHE HAS 77% OF THE VOTE.
Higby, Like you did, the Daily News calls Moore a disaster.
"Oh, it's fun to imagine Walter Moore, the clear front-runner of the challengers, taking over City Hall and the explosions that would occur once he started dismantling the long-entrenched political machinery: the long line of fired department heads (which would include the very popular LAPD Chief William Bratton); the political power brokers shown the door; the epic battles with the City Council.
It would be great fodder for the city's journalists and historians. But we don't believe that entertainment value should be the main reason - or even one of them - to choose a leader for the city, especially during a tremendously difficult time. And the prospect of the ensuing mess from such mass destruction should scare any responsible Angeleno who wants the city to work better, not fall apart."
local political hacks about town with their own exit polls...
Nuch wins
Gruel wins
Moore close to run-off
Antonio polling low
4:56 PM is delusional.
Exit polls, local media "Easy Win For Villaraigosa."
Villaraigosa's popularity is at 70 percent. Ten candidates are splitting 30 percent of the electorate with two black candidates, another Hispanic, two GOP endorsed republicans and one famous gadfly. After a long long drop, there is Wally The Wacko Moore. Exit pollsters say he's not even coming in third.
ha! local political hacks about town = wacko mary and rita.
Oh, right, I get it. You think Walter wouldn't be good, but Zooma Dogg would be?
Christ, we would be the laughingstock of the world if Zooma even got into a runoff.
Prediction: he gets 2,412 votes.
Gendergone: 12 votes
Villaraigosa burned lots of Latino families, especially the women.
They're not voting at all, but if they do, it's a revenge vote against Villar the Phony.
Nuch will have to wait 4 more years when his pal Cooley retires to run for his DA job. He'd have liked the name recognition and on-the-job training of being City Attorney, but other than the gadflies and fringes on a few blogs, he has little name recognition despite his flashy ads. Nuch Carmen Trutnuch...? Amerian can have his shot when Jack moves on.
Sherry Bebitch Jaffe was on tv explaining to the dum-dums at the papers who want Villaraigosa but not Jack and Wendy, that they say they want him to achieve his goals he's set out to do but then want to surround him with people who wish him ill? Just one reason no one is paying attention to the "opinions" of the papers anymore.
CD5: run-off between Galprin and Koretz, with Galprin winning it once people learn more about them.
on LA Times website today.
In Larchmont Village, art dealer Alex Roux said she voted for David “Zuma Dogg” Saltsburg, a regular public participant at City Hall meetings. She said the mayor was “one of the worst mayors we’ve ever had” and that he’d been negligent in his oversight of downtown development. She also questioned his use of city revenue from parking meters, which she referred to as “payola.” She decided to support Saltsburg, who rarely speaks to council members without his sunglasses on, after hearing him on National Public Radio.
“He doesn’t care about being a celeb as much as Villaraigosa,” Roux said.
Christ, we would be the laughingstock of the world if Zooma even got into a runoff.
You already are the laughingstock of the world. I guarantee Zuma won't hurt your image in the least.
Latino revenge votes against Villar are going to ZD or David.
Any who, why are you two ladies blogging? Why aren't you at Wacko's "victory party"?
4:21: "WON'T HAPPEN. WE WORK FOR WENDY SHE HAS 77% OF THE VOTE."
I am sure that's why she put in $100K of her own money... to get to 80%.
Hey Fatso, you're doing great with those predictions! Zuma Dogg cracked 2,500 votes, and Jack & Wendy are in like Flynn!
DUMBASS
HIGBY'S ENDORSEMENTS
MAYOR: ZUMA DOG
CONTROLLER: NICK PATSAOURAS
CITY ATTORNEY: NOEL WEISS
Zuma is running eigth. Patsaouras is getting his ass beaten by a girl named Wendy. And Noel Weiss has about a thousand votes.
Oh, Higby, you are such a picker of talent! What else do you do well, other than stuff your piehole?
Hey at least Louie is winning!

I hope the Carnals get a shot at these changos when they hit the joint.
don q speaks
Hey, just admit you got suckered into making emotional endorsements.
Either you don't have a clue about that which you speak, or NOBODY READS YOUR FREAKING BLOG AND TAKES IT SERIOUSLY!
Lol, but I appreciate your taking the time to make those picks the DAY BEFORE the election! Way to be an advocate! Back Zuma Dogg! He's tied with, who is it, Bruce Darian? Good pick, Michael!
If it weren't for Zuma Dogg, you would be the laughing stock of city hall.
Noel Weiss? Mike, did you really think he would come in anything but last place?
Michael's picks were endorsements letting you know he was voting for. Not who he thought was winning. Big difference.
What's crazy is first results from absentee show Gordon Turner, write- in candidate, coming in third with almost 10% after AV and Moore. This year there were so many candidates that it must have skewed results but absentee votes are notoriously more conservative or protest votes.
Wendy leading by a large margin but Suzy Evans second! Weiss way ahead with the other three including Berger close behind -- wild that Nuch is barely ahead of the other two. Only Noel the nobody Weiss is off the radar.
OUCH!! Ninth place right now!? WTF!!??
These other guys ....omg...
I'm losing to Carlos "Taco Truck" Alvarez right now!!
At least Villaraigosa is in trouble.
54% ain't so hot for a Mayor that didn't have opponents buying TV time.
They should be calling it for Wendy very soon!
Run-off between Tru and Weiss.
Well Phil, you put your foot in your mouth in Sunland-Tujunga.
Hence your 9th place. Now go back to listening to Rush and entertaining as the clown at birthday parties.
WOW...LAST place now!! Bulletin 3
I'm now losing to two Communists, a doper, and a guy who calls himself "Zuma Dogg".
Great.
Just great.
This is what happens to dinosaurs like yourself, Phil. You are extinct. The world has moved on.
Phil, you are the only person who didn't see this coming.
You have been conducting yourself like an idiot. You didn't have anything to say about your accomplishments, if you even have any.
You never presented your qualifications for the job. What did you expect people to do? You listed your profession as entertainer. Who is going to figure that that means you could be Mayor?
Phil, you are not even getting 1% of the vote.
You never told us what you have in your background to make us think you could do the job. All you did was attack your opponents.
Mayor's race is over, the absentee vote was the cro-magnon vote who like to masturbate in public in the valley, and moore reached his high water mark. Well, at least we will not have moore arguing against the Eruv in Venice.

It’s likely the incumbents targeted these constituents, absentee ballot voters, with their colorful mailers where challengers were at a disadvantage because of lack of funds.
Mr. Herzberg, Mr. Dogg
Mr. Dogg, Mr. Herzberger.
Mr. Villaraigosa will thank you now...
for all the endorsements and money behind Nury Martinez, former mayor of san Fernando, she was losing to the unknown Pugliese. can you say bye, bye politics
Well, it looks like L.A.City voters are as igornant as I expected them to be.
For Moore to come in second to Tony is one thing, but the ignorance found by the results indicate that too many voters simply don't really know who is running.
'Nuch' should have been voted with far more votes for him than Jack got.
Thank goodness there is time to inform L.A. voters about Jack, the hack and "Tru" the fellow who must win the runoff.
Measure B still clings to the stupidety of L.A. voters who cannot see the corruption staring them right in the face.
It looks like just mentioning solar power is enough to get the dim bulbs to vote for such a fraudulently created measure.
Tony didn't deserve the percentage he got, so that also speaks to the ill-informed voters in the city.
David didn't receive as many votes as I had hoped for, but he was not last.
Our work is cut out for us now to make sure 'hacky' Jack is not the next City Attorney.
But we will be dealing with a bunch of less-than-reasonable voters who see a glitzy campaign and the friend of a real shady Mayor as being superior to a "TRU" candidate that won't make the office of City Attorney into the Mayor's personal legal firm.
The next Mayor of Los Angeles is Wendy Greuel.
Looks like Measure B lost!
Saltsburg is our Ralph Nader; well-intended eccentric who has absolutely no chance of winning but can cheerfully draw votes away from a viable alternative. He is encouraged to have high profile and divert attention from viable alternative. He is a useful idiot and a tool of the incumbent's team.
the people deserve the government they elect.
Media says that AV won easily. I'd say narrowly, AV be prepared. we will fight you on the governors race and vow not to ever see you again in local office.
I knew Joe Pyne. I watched Joe Pyne and believe me sir, you are no Joe Pyne.
MAV won, but he lost. One real challenger and he'd be in a runoff, fighting for his political life.
It's obvious he needed 60% against "the LA Dwarves" to be viable running statewide and he couldn't get it. Maybe he should go to his office (novel idea), do his job, and show everyone he can win the confidence of his own city before he gives his ego free reign again.
11:21am the Millions of Latinos who can "stand" people speaking Spanish are the illegals. Yes, they are the millions that are influtrating our city making it look like a third world city. Every reporter is now saying that in their columns. The Latino politicans we have must have grown up in filth and their mothers didn't teach them how to have pride for their neighborhoods otherwise they would do something to clean them up. Drive through downtown LA and you will see tons of illegals vendor carts from Huntington Park set at one location for hours. Other cities are making money from being in LA illegally selling cause no politican says a damn word
Higby, as a predicter, you suck.
Now, can we let Saltsburg go quietly to the institution that will take him and bring him to reality, and we go back to real politics?
Here's my take on the run-offs:
Both Weiss and KOretz ran as "incumbents" (even though, of course, they are not).
Incumbents in LA City that don't win outright in the primary, don't win in the runoff.
The simple reason is that every vote for someone else is really a vote against them.
Ergo, Trutanich and Vahadi will be the winners in June.
Bet on it. From: One Who Knows
Gerry Guzman and Nury Martinez for all the political experience this is a shame. Pugliese was an unknown and WHITE in a LATINO district. You won by a narrow margin. Gerry I can't believe you have a job. With all the UNION $$$ and ENDORSEMENTS, and a LATINO seat and she ran as the MAYOR and educator??!!! I sit here laughing at the poor results for you wife.
She can thank San Fernando for the votes that got her the hell out of their town!
BOARD OF EDUCATION DISTRICT 6 Votes
NURY MARTINEZ 12,591 50.98%
LOUIS PUGLIESE 12,109 49.02%
WHAT AN EMBARRASSEMENT FOR VILLARAIGOSA!!!!. WORD IS PEOPLE WILL HELP TUTRUNICH AGAINST WEISS.
laobserved......Thus far in the count, the city clerk says 221,295 votes were cast. That's 14% of the registered voters, folks. Fourteen percent including mail-ins.
NOW JERRY BROWN, NEWSOM, GIRAMANDI CAN USE HOW PATHETIC PEOPLE ARE IN LA ARE AGAINST VILLARAIGOSA
Hey Fatso,
Wake up and start writing!
You're missing the big news of the day: ZUMA DOGG HAS QUIT AND IS FINALLY GOING AWAY. FROM HIS BLOG:

Thanks to everyone who voted!
Thanks to everyone who I have spoken with over the past three years at City Hall and around the community. I gave it my all over the past three years. Unfortunately, with only 3.4 % of the vote going to "Zuma Dogg" -- that is not nearly enough support to have him continue to show up at city hall to fight on the behalf of others. So I think I have finally broken the spell and hopefully you won't see me around City Hall that much anymore. Thanks to everyone who has supported me.
How classic is this? Fatso Higby's candidate for mayor just gave up politics!
That makes Higby the biggest fool of them all; endorsing a guy who was on the fringe and who just quit.
Higby, I'd say you have egg on your face, but you ALWAYS have egg or some other food product on your face!
Sayonara Lard-Ass!
Let's now do the Municipal Election 2009 "Winners and Losers."
LOSER: Antonio Villaraigosa
Against pot activists, homeless guys, and union meat packers, you got 55% of the vote. And you expect to be elected governor?
LOSER: IBEW
You tried to take all the best union jobs away from your union brothers and sisters. You failed. They hate you. Loser!
LOSER: Bob Hertzberg
Your endorsement (Adeena Bleich) again proves to be the Kiss of Death. Plus Walter Moore got more votes than you did in your respective races for Mayor. Prove to us that you are still relevant.
LOSER: Adeena Bleich
Running for office because, "like, it's like, my turn" is not a platform, girl! Go to cotillion and learn how to treat people, then we'll talk.
LOSER: Robyn Ritter-Simon
How many failed attempts is this now? Time to hang 'em up.
WINNER: David Vahedi
From neighborhood councils to (almost) city hall. Impressive.
WINNER: Nuch Trutanich
No one thought you could force Weiss into a runoff, but you did. Now good luck in the runoff. Doubt you'll succeed.
WINNER AND LOSER: Walter Moore
A surprisingly strong showing means your platform had legs. But had you siphoned off a few more votes; had you raised a little more money; had you campaigned a little better...you might have made the runoff. Close doesn't count.
No, the big loser was Higby. His stupid pick for Mayor just quit and promised to not show up at city hall ever again.
Hahaha! Taking his bally and going home.
LOSER: LARRY LEVINE
The slate mail owner and amateur political consultant had his candidate Robert Schwartz come in last in CD5 and Jack Weiss limps into the runoff.
Winner: Mayor Sam
The clickety clicks are through the roof and some blogger we all know and some love is being interviewed by national media.
Dumb ass.
And you didn't read - I didn't predict anyone would win (other than my stupid New Year predictions) or lose. I told you who I was recommending YOU vote for.
You don't even know how I actually voted.
Dumb ass.
And you recommended that people vote for A HOMELESS MAN WHO COULDN'T WIN, DIDN'T WIN, AND GOT THREE PERCENT of the VOTE!
The only reason you MAY or MAY NOT be getting interviewed is because YOU RECOMMENDED THAT PEOPLE VOTE FOR A HOMELESS MAN.
You also recommended that they vote for Noel Weiss, who got about half of what the homeless man got!
THAT is why you're being interviewed. For picking two of the worst horses in the race, and not picking the obvious winners.
Spin it however you want, Fatso. Oh yeah, you're being interviewed as the "Jolly" (a/k/a FAT) blogger. That's what people know you by. "That FAT guy who is too lazy to do anything other than eat and blog."
Go home to Bakersfield, or wherever that pea soup restaurant is.
And just consider ordering a salad without creamy or cheese dressing once in a while. Maybe even fasting once a week.
Oh, just die, Higby, will you? Half of those clickety clicks are due to me.
where will we read or see you being interviewed?
remember the last time that zooma dogg told us he was going to be on Nightline? it turned out to be a three second sound byte.
Oh, just die, Higby, will you? Half of those clickety clicks are due to me.

You are really one sick puppy, aren't you MC, The Furry?
But hey, I like the pic of you on your facebook dressed up in your fursuit. Yiff much in it?
YOU ALL SEEM BOTHERED BY THIS ELECTION TO BAD. MOST PEOPLE DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN. IT'S HARD TO KNOW WHO TO BLAME THE STUPID PEOPLE WHO DIDN'T VOTE , THE STUPID DIVIDED PEOPLE THAT COULDN'T DECIDE, THE STUPID ONES WHO SUPPORTED THE INCUMBENTS. I GUESS YOU ALL ARE THE PROBLEM. BUT YOUR ALL GOING TO LOSE THIS ONE AS THE ECONOMY CRASHES IN FLAMES AND THE NEXT GREAT WARS BEGIN. BECAUSE YOUR ALL TO BLAME FOR YOUR PAIN. ENJOY!!!
Michael didn't post predications. He posted who he was voting for.
* He didn't want to vote for the mayor.
* He didn't want to vote for Walter.
* He didn't know who Gordon Turner was, like most people. Gordon is a Deputy City Attorney who wants to repeal gang enforcement laws so maybe Higby wouldn't have wanted to support him anyway. (He's the other side of Walter Moore.)
So he went with Zuma Dogg who came in fourth, behind only the other three fore mentioned candidates.
So unless he endorsed Villaraigosa or Walter (and he stated his reason for not voting for Walter) I guess you are mad that he didn't vote for, or endorse, Gordon Turner.
