As of 10:00 p.m., the City Clerk’s election website is depicting the March 3 unofficial results.

If these numbers are correct a RECOUNT is justifiable.

Close analysis of the final count of provisional ballots was interesting on other races. In the City Attorney race, Carmen Trutanich increased his share of the vote, while Jackass Weiss fell.

Of the 42,164 provisional ballots that were certified, Trutanich got 30.38% which was a 4% increase over the March 3 poll. Weiss fell by 2% to 34.44%.

If these provisional ballots are a reflection of what late voters are thinking, it could well be that Trutanich will upset the Mayors "dream team" wishes on May 19, and we'll actually have a strong independent City Attorney for a change.

And before bloggers start attacking this post as something from the Trutanich camp, I was one of the candidates in the City Attorney race, and I would have voted for him if I were not in the race.

Measure B may be one victory for independence, but the City Attorney's race is just as important. We cannot afford to have another career politician in the City Attorney's Office - Weiss will just rubber stamp whatever the Mayor wants to do. Trutanich has the experience and the character to make a difference, I urge you all to join me in supporting him and let's send the Mayor a message that we not content with 4 more years of business as usual.

Does anyone have the numbers of the Mayor candidates that were also counted along with the Measure B???

Thank you Ron Kaye, Jack, and the others. You should have a HUGE PRESS CONFERENCE. Damn local media is screwed here. Leave it to LA Weekly which is getting more and more readers to do a nice piece.

Great.

And, Zuma Dogg got more votes than Ed Reyes.

Highland Park is still having shootings and killings. Where is Ed Reyes now? In hiding as usual. He only shows up for funerals.

Voters got what they asked for.

To the Zuma hater:

It looks like Zuma got a lot closer to 9000 than 7000 like you (hater) kept saying the week after. Good job Zuma!

The "power" of the Walter-people or the anti-B people looks pretty weak now that the real numbers are out. Lucky you, you all had that low turnout in your favor.

I think that Jack Weiss will simply concentrate on the voters he can drag out and then he'll win. I didn't think I could vote for Trutanich and now I'm purposely listening to AM talk radio to hear what they have to say and all I can say is, Jack will do better in the city than he did in his own district again.

Jack Weiss - our new City Attorney.

What the numbers post are very telling. 121,620 didn't want Antonio. Every city has made budget cuts yet Villaraigosa hasn't done shit.
He has 4 press people, 16 Deputy Mayors making over $125,000, 93 staffers, 20 city cars. No city employees have been laid off, clowncil staffers each have blackberry, city cars, get gas money, insurance, overtime and the Mayor wants US THE TAX PAYERS TO HELP OUT.@#$%^&

Here's a song I'm gonna sing at karaoke tonight about Villaraigosa and his second term, based on his first term as photo-op loser:

On American Top 40, here's Def Leppard, and "Photograph."

Chorus:

Photograph, I don't want your,

Photograph, I don't need your,

Photograph...

All I got is a photograph!

Hey Villar, screwed you!

Ahhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhh,

Photograph...

HEY CALIFORNIA VOTERS: Don't let Villaraigosa become Governor. All you'll get are photographs.
