Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Wednesday

The DWP has some of the nastiest tasting water in America and they want to continue to charge you more and more for it. However - despite a Mayoral order three years ago to stop it - a number of LA City departments are ordering bottled water for their employees to drink. City Controller Laura Chick (damn we're going to miss her) said “There is no reason why the city should continue purchasing large quantities of bottled water. If employees wish to drink bottled water, they can do so at their own expense.”

Gavin Newsom made the rounds in LA Tuesday and has a town hall meeting in Palm Springs planned for Saturday.

Blogger Don Garza reports that NIKE donated free shoes to the homeless in Skid Row. Garza offers praise saying, "They didn't have to beg to the larger entities in the community for these things, and realized the fruits of their labor , which has brought back their sense of self-respect and dignity , which will only increase. Thank you NIKE"

Gay Patriot blogs a good take on Gays and the GOP.  "I don’t think the Republican Party need develop a gay-specific outreach plan.  I simply believe the party should abandon policies which discriminate against gay people and otherwise leave us alone to live our lives as we please," says the right leaning blogger.  He's absolutely right.  If folks like Pat Roberston, Rush Blowtard and Ann Coulter could unpoke their noses from the bedroom, the Repugs might pick up a few votes.  As a conservative I am far more concerned about tax cuts than anal sex.  So should be the wingnuts.

I recall DWP saying the city's tap water is as healthy and safe to drink as bottled water.

If they are supplying staff with bottled water, it makes you wonder.

AT least Newsom can speak without reading cards and answer questions off the top of his head. He does have an impressive record of what he has done in S.F. on education, healthcare, the environment and a lot more. The only thing Mayor Villaraigosa can say he's accomplished is filled pot holes, and changed left hand signal lights.

LA is the only city Obama is visiting that isn't allowing the "public" to attend. The other cities let people wait in line for tickets. Could it be the Mayor doesn't want people to boo him when he starts to speak on stage?

David Nahi makes over $300,000 a year. This is outrageous!! Didn't the Slimes report the biggest abuser was the Mayor at the Getty House?

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power commission unanimously approved new water rates Tuesday that will penalize residents if they don't cut water use by 15%.

Gavin Newsom can wipe the floor with AV! Even though I don't agree with his sanctuary city policies, I would vote for him in a heartbeat! He has personality, charm, and great looks!

I can hardly wait for AV and Newsom to debate each other...I would PAY to watch Newsom anhiliate AV! And guess what folks...Newsom speaks ENGLISH...how refreshing!

Listen to KFI tonight. They were at the town hall and were asking people afterward what they thought. The overall majority really liked Newsom and what he said. He was brutually honest and wasn't afraid to say "you may not agree with my view but this is what I think". Villaraigosa would never have the guts to say that to a crowd of people. If anything Newsome really highlighted his record. Villaraigosa would look like a dried up raisin standing next to him and no way would be able to debate on the issues he spoke about.

As you know, Zuma Dogg and Matt Dowd entered City Hall chambers over a Venice Beach ordinance that went into effect over three years ago.

The city continues to make changes that makes things worse. ZD and Matt have complained ON THE RECORD on TV 35 about the problems with the way they are operating the performers spaces.

IT ALL CAME TO A HEAD TODAY WHEN ONE OF THE PERFORMERS (SOMEONE WHO HAS ALSO APPEARED ON TV 35 TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE PROBLEMS)

WAS STABBED TODAY IN THAT PERFORMERS SPACE BY ANOTHER PERFORMER. ZUMA DOGG FEELS THIS IS A BY PRODUCT OF THEIR F*CKED UP POLICY THAT WE HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT.

And now our friend was stabbed today. He is in the hospital. A police helicopter is looking for the person who did it.

ZUMA DOGG HAS REQUESTED A MEETING WITH VILLARAIGOSA AND VENICE CM BILL ROSENDAHL.

Since I predicted the problem, experienced threats and was run off the beach, myself in the run of my life....

I HAVE THE SOLUTION...I WANT TO PRESENT IT TO CITY HALL...AND THEY CAN DO IT.

The problem: Villaraiogsa is nothing but a mafiosa thug, himself who has stabbed someone (i don't know if he killed the person with the knife, or just hospitalized them) - so I doubt he will be sensitive to an "all hell breaks loose stabbing scenarios at Venice Beach" cause we know the people who he runs with, the people who back him, the people who really make this city tick (the mafisoso types) and that they mayor is not stranger to a little knife stabbing to settle the score.

So that's why I want Bill Rosendahl at the meeting, too.

I hope someone returns one of the messages I left.

Because if there is no interest on this by the mayor, I need to start rabble-rousing about a recall campain, because we can't have a mafiosa mayor who stabs people himself run for governor.

And I don't even think he is legally eligible to be mayor based on the stabbing in his past and the record. Whether Gavin Newsom looks into it, or not, and it becomes something people care about is another thing.

BUT I WILL BE THERE TO FAN THE FLAMES ON A RECALL CAMPAIGN OVER THE STABBING-MAFIOSO MAYOR WHO HAS ALREADY DESTROYED THE CITY....

HE MUST NOT BE ALLOWED TO ADVANCE!

Hope to hear from Doucheariogos's office shortly.

I'm calling media outlets as we speak.

How come the mayor let Muerello Maddox run wild and unchecked in the city? How come MM got all that early inside info on property they snapped up. How come they were allowed to do business in L.A. under Villaraigosa with fraudulent permits?

We have our own Enron situation in Downtown Los Angeles, and if Zuma Dogg knew about it, how come the mayor didn't do anything about it.

This is going to sink the city. How can Villaraigosa be governor.

"Just say no" to the stabbing mafioso mayor!

Gosh, I think The Mayor is quaking in his boots about ZD's threats.

Maybe he will lay aside all other business and roder Rosendahl to do the same.

After all, Saltsburg has DEMANDED a meeting!!!

Listen up, loser, you are about to be publicly dissed (again).

How much can you take? Have you no pride at all?

Don't believe Higby's clippings; no one cares what yuo say or do. You have zero credibility.

zuma dogg,

i am sorry to hear about the incident today. but what people have been telling you for years is that if you didn't treat the people in city hall so rudely, it would be a lot easier to get meetings with the city officials.

when you scream at the top of your lungs, it either turns people off or it scares them.

it calls to question whether this type of rude behavior precipitated today's incidents. i am not justifying it, but maybe others at the beach felt as dissed by your behavior as people in city hall, but when they act out of it, it's a lot worse than just cutting off your microphone or camera time.

you may not agree with this, and that's cool. but do you see how others may not appreciate your extreme rudeness?

Dave, you should come to city hall angered as all hell on friday and be sure that everyone in the audience waiting for presentations hears about this.

Make sure that they get as angry and informed about this stuff as you always are. That is the only way to get social justice. And it is not against the law to raise your voice in anger, one in a while

Zuma Dogg, you should park your van near city hall to ensure that you never miss another meeting, in case you run out of funds.

I would be so angry if I was you and the only thing you have is your voice, and when you bring along several of your friends, and the women in van nuys city hall, and all the others, together you can really get heard.

U may only get five or seven minutes to speak, but together, that can be almost an hour and that's how you can get things change.d

The big difference between Newsome and Nuisance, I mean Villaraigosa, is that Newsome ACTUALLY TALKS and takes feedback. TONY recites and repeats scripts and platitudes, CONTROLLING venues to AVOID taking any questions and things that might call for him to explain things. Tony is still a weasel.

Tony might look good to some, but that's where it ends. Question- is the poster who likes Newsome's looks a male or female poster- can't tell, but still, looks should not be controlling.

I only have three dollars and was supposed to be looking for housing for myself today, but now at least one newspaper has already contacted me over the Venice Beach stabbing, today.

And here's a good one: I just called Janice Hahn's office to leave a message over an important issue (non-related to this Venice issue) and I was transfered to a voice mail, which is fine.

EXCEPT: When I was connected to the voicemail, the outgoing message said, "Please do not leave a voice mail here. I cannot retrieve the messages."

WAY TO GO! Someone calls to leave a voice mail, and you connect them to a voice mail that says, "do not leave a voice mail." LOL!

I can't imagine why we are having problems with immeasurable waste in this city with consituents outraged that they can't get a tree trimmed in front of a school crosswalk for eight months?

I wonder if any of the council losers who are driving the city into the ground over this kind of inept, non-sense have read "Interpreting Deming's 14 Points?" They probably think they are too good for it. But at this point, they are walking around in "The Emperor's New Clothes."

So they will continue to ignore the warnings of Zuma Dogg and people will get stabbed at Venice Beach over the things I warn about, they can continue to transfer constituents to voicemail that says "don't leave a voice mail" and install left turn signals with a faulty auto-sensor system that is making traffic worse and much more unsafe, they can continue to ignore the DWP infrastructure problem and pretend that one good heatwave this summer will not shut down the city, they can continue to build high density housing structures in every nook and cranny vacant parking lot in Highland Park and all over the city -- EVEN THOUGH THERE CLEARLY IS NOT ENOUGH WATER OR PROPERLY INSTALLED, UPDATED TRANSFORMERS TO ACCOMODATE...

And Garshady and Viagraosa's "Dumb Growth" has forever changed the character of the city and the region...we will be dealing with the traffic and crime and lack of water and infrastructure forever, now...and people will not be hopping on all of your inferior mass transit system that will NEVER accomplish the goal of having yuppies and soccer mom's get out of the car and onto the mass transit WHILE ERIC GARCETTI ADMITS IN LA WEEKLY THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE -- AND THE PROBLEM WILL HAVE TO GET SO BAD THAT PEOPLE WILL BE DRIVEN (no pun) TO MASS TRANSIT, ALTHOUGH THEY ADMIT IT ISN'T HERE, YET.

So this douchebag-dummy of a corrupt mayor and his inept councilmembers have destroyed the fabric of this city, like a rabid dog who you let into your home and tears up all the furniture and pisses all over the place.

I think Villaragiosa should be the next Governor of Califorina. Leno would LOVE it! So would the people of Mexico. California would be even more appealing, and we all know the direction he has taken Los Angeles regarding Sanctuary City status, and all that.

Villar in 2010! He'll get "stabbing mad" for YOU! (Depending on who "YOU" are.)

Oh please....as a lesbian conservative I've never been a huge fan of Rush or Coulter but since when have they ever been an enemy of teh gheys?

In regards to my sexuality, I can't ever recall being offended by either one of them.

And as for Robertson, he's been irrelevant for years.

I look around at all the out and successful queers in business, media and entertainment and find it a little difficult to relate to all of this "woe is me I'm so persecuted" drivel.

Enough already.

Conservatives don't have the monopoly on gay discrimination. There are plenty of liberals (i.e. churchgoing blacks) with their own prejudices.

Since becoming a conservative, I've experienced primarily acceptance and at the very least, genuine tolerance from other right-thinkers.

From liberals however, I've experienced mainly grief and intolerance for my conservative views. For them, gay conservatives are nothing but a joke.

They've never respected us and they never will.

March 18, 2009 12:32 PM was ZD, I think you can tell. Couldn't log on in time on the computer I was using. And to 11:11am, don't get it twisted and you are once again focused on the wrong thing. Fuck the suit and tie...I'll say what I want the way I want...if you don't like it, too bad...if i'm not getting arrested by the sgt of arms then too bad. there's NOTHING wrong with the way I treat people at city hall...and again, this isn't about you liking my presention...we have a situation that we warned council about on TV, a federal judge told the city they needed more spaces, I'm going to show up on City TV 35 on Friday if I haven't had a chance to discuss this with the mayor's office personally, and if they don't have time, or want to have the meeting, then I will just have to handle this whole "knife-weilding" thug mayor's Venice Beach policy EVERYWHERE ELSE, like on City TV 35, three days a week for the rest of my life, starting Friday. But I have already been contacted by a newspaper over this, and we'll see who else want to listen to some of the new things Zuma Dogg will be adding to the media repetior. I'm not saying the mayor will respond, I just made a request, and we'll see.

Either way, THE CITY WILL BE RESOLVING THE SITUATION IN THE EXACT SPECIFIC WAY THAT ZUMA DOGG AND MATT DOWD HAVE SUGGESTED AND WILL CONTINUE TO SUGGEST. It's just a matter of it's the short and easy way...or the slow, day to day grind of constant blogging and city tv 35 appearances, and YOUTUBE videos...and who knows...maybe another national media outlet picks up on some of this, again. I know one thing, I've never had a newspaper call me about a blog post, let alone so quickly. I hope they run the mayor through a metal detector at city hall, too. I don't want to get stabbed if he sees me. And we know he is willing and capable of stabbing someone, cause he has in the past.

Yeah, Hibgy, what did you have to post that I called him a "mafioso thug?" You're gonna blow my meeting for me!

Anyway, the mayor wouldn't have me for a meeting because he LIKES me, he would be having the meeting because he wants to solve a problem. I saw on his TV commercial that he is "bringing people together!" That's why I voted for him.

But seriously, you think the mayor wouldn't meet with me because I ran against him? Then he shouldn't meet with Richard Alarcon, either. That WOULD be a good thing for public safety.

Again, there doesn't HAVE to be a meeting. Maybe I can just keep addressing it in the media, and his office will hear my message and solutions, that way. But I keep throwing in all that other stuff when I talk about it publicy, cause then it has to become a "public pressure through awareness campaign" instead of a little meeting.

These meetings aren't so bad. It could even be on a speaker phone, with ZD and Dowd on one end, and Villar on the other. If the mayor isn't comfortable being in the room with ZD cause it's too intimidating for him, due to my larger than life presence, it can be on the phone. Getting the problems heard and solutions offered is the point.

Jim Bickart better not be posting anonymously from his city hall computer. Have you heard what he is doing with the animal services department. His mayoral-errand-running-ass is on the way out and his girlfriend from Antonio4LA can't save him. (What kind of errands are you "running" for the mayor Jim?) And what would a public records request on your city computer unfold?

Better hope the photogs don't snap a shot while you're on a "run."

No go mandate that every low-income property owner is required to allow dogs. Great idea. More on that one coming soon. You can bet on that.

11:40am- Times have changed and money is tight. Bring your own water. It may not be convenient, but it's reasonable and besides paying for the water, you are covering the salaries for people to get it, set up and to distribute it. And the persons who do this may not be the lowest on the pay scale but on the opposite end.

It's not necessary to pay for this extra expense.

CITY HALL people are used to doing whatever they want and there's no follow-up on them (how many city cell phones are still floating around unaccounted for and bills not traced to a user? just one example. The gas credit cards is another) since Tony already directed that any bottled water be paid for by the users, not the city- I guess he now sees he is not the only one who fudges on commitments.

This is the kind of thing to expect as well with those Special Event Waivers that say, "the city is to be reimbursed in full" if you know what I mean. Who's in charge of that? So much is wrong with the city and TONY might see it and work on it if (a.) he cared, and (2.) he was not obligated to handle the wishes of his campaign donors first, in order to perpetuate his funding and, hence, his career.

And ZD is not rude; check out the CM's who don't even pay attention to the speakers at the podium if you go in person (it never shows on the cameras- or else somebody's out of a job).
