Mayor Sam's Hotsheet for Monday

Word is just starting to trickle out that Santa Monica City Councilman, the Governor's brother-in-law and Kennedy Family scion Bobby Shriver is considerng a run for State Attorney General and he's already getting the usual treatment from Mayor Sam readers.  An opening in the race for the Democratic nomination for AG is contingent upon the likely entry of Jerry Brown into the Governor's race.  If that happens, Shriver may face off against Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo (his second try) and San Francisco DA Kamala Harris.

The City's Primary Election was nearly two weeks ago but two of the candidates for Mayor may not have got the message.  Walter Moore dukes it out with Phil Jennerjahn in the comments section of a Mayor Sam Hotsheet.

The LAPD will move to it's new headquarters, only it's third in 113 years, this November.  Steve Harvey recaps the history of the last two police HQs, Central Headquarters in use from 1896 to 1955 and Parker Center, best known from the Dragnet TV series, which has been the LAPD's home for the last 55 years.

It made for some beautiful photos but the LA Zoo has done one of the dumbest things I've seen - cover numerous animal exhibits in snow trucked in from local mountains.  Most of the animals who found their pens covered in the white stuff may have descended from snowy country but were born in captivity and live in LA so they're not used to it.  More and more it becomes clearer that zoos need to be re-thought and that it's cruel to hold these animals in captivity in environments that are a fraction of the size they need.

Thank god the Obama team are seeing right through the Villaraigosa corrupt bullshit. How much does this jerk off get paid with our tax dollars and doesn't the Mayor have 5 lawyers in house?

Saenz not going to Justice after all...President Obama has appointed a Maryland state official to head the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, meaning that Villaraigosa adviser Thomas Saenz didn't get the job. The Daily Journal reported last month that Saenz would be tapped. L.A. County Supervisor Gloria Molina told the Blog of Legal Times yesterday that Saenz was actually offered the post and accepted, but that the Obama Administration then shied away from a possible confirmation battle. "It was a political decision from the White House, because of Tom’s work on immigration rights," Molina says on the blog.

Michael Higby,

I'm not sure I'm really "having it out" with Walter Moore... but I have never appreciated some of his behavior and some of the comments he directs towards others (ask Zuma). I think it shows poor leadership to attack others constantly. He seems a bit too thin-skinned to be involved in politics if he has to over-react to every comment made about him.

I generally ignore comments and criticisms.

People can say whatever they want about me.
When you run for public office, you have to be prepared and ready for that.

Michael, I appreciate the space you have given me on your blog. So...I am giving you a BIG exclusive. Not even released to the media yet!

I am announcing today, March 16, 2009, that I, Phil Jennerjahn, fully intend to seek the Republican nomination for the 33rd Congressional District for the election in November of 2010.

I reside in the district, which begins on the west about a mile inland from Venice Beach, and spreads to Figueroa Avenue on the East in Los Angeles. The District spreads North to take in Koreatown, Hancock Park, the Wilshire corridor and the "Miracle Mile" district, Little Armenia, Hollywood, Los Feliz and Silver Lake.

The 33rd District also includes the neighborhoods of Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, Mid-Wilshire, View Park, and Windsor Hills.

The district is heavily populated with people who are registered Democrats. There will not be many Republicans interested in running for this seat, as the competition for voters is very difficult. However, like I said recently in a speech at a Republican Party event.. "People will cross a party line to vote for a candidate, but you have to give them a good enough reason to do that."

I hope to be that reason.

I have a new political job already!

I am the spokesman for a new group of political activists. The group is called "Westside Republicans" and we already have over 100 members and are growing rapidly. The group is headed by Rob Pedersen, who already has us actively working with the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association in opposing the new Proposition 1A which is on the ballot in May.

We will have tables set up at the Grove and at the Third Street Promenade in the next two months to distribute literature and to inform the voters about the horrible potential damage of 1A. I will also be appearing and speaking at Neighborhood Council meetings across the city.

I will keep you, and the Mayor Sam readers informed about our activities.

Who thought that Zuma Dogg's saying that he's going away after the election really meant that he was actually going to go away?

(I expect to see him post saying that he never said that.)

Also, if Zuma Dogg goes back on that promise to stay away, how many people want him to go back to his terrorist clothing? He is one ugly mo'fo'

Walter Moore duking it out with Phil Jennerjahn in the comments section was entertaining. I personally would like to see Walter go up against Moe Howard...I think Curly would be a good match for Phil.

How about you post where I DID say anything besides, "so I hope to be spending LESS time at city hall."

I know I said that, and you said that I would say that I didn't say that I was "staying away."

You just have very low reading comprehension which has been your problem all along, hasn't it.

Anyway, just to be clear...I wake up each day and do what the f*ck I want, and it is NOT based on emotionally unstable, low reading comprehension losers from the peanut gallery.

I'll keep on truckin' and you can keep on watching.

9:36am,

Have you ever heard of Milton Erickson? He wrote a book called, "Patterns." Neuro-Lingustic Programming (Grindler/Bandler) is based on it.

Unfortunately, have revealed yourself (at least to me) through YOUR patterns.

And personally, I am shocked that a person who claims to be of your caliber is actually spending time posting the type of stuff you are posting.

You really should just move on with your life, loser.

It's true that I wish I was better looking, perhaps my career outcome would be different because things ARE based on looks, but I don't think I have ever seen someone in the city hall activism arena criticized on their looks/being "ugly."

Anyway, I am at the library typing this, and I have to go because someone who noticed that "ZD" is here wants to say, "hello" and they are waiting, right next to me.

Yes, I am blessed...not because I buy it...because I simply wake up each day, in a deep rut, and try to and change the world with a non-material, spiritual, quantum force.

It ain't easy, but the sound of the person chuckling over my shoulder who is reading this as I type makes it worth it!

Try and create small, little miracles for people throughout your day. It's FREE and easy to do.

I know you may think the person isn't worthy, or that it isn't worth it to you, but if you keep planting seeds, each day, it will be worth, eventually, in a way that you can't buy.

And Higby, YES, I think our little gasket-blowing poster is someone who we were talking about on the phone on Saturday, and the name made me cranky, and I said I don't want to talk about them anymore, because the person doesn't actually do anything positive in the community, anyway.

YES MICHAEL, Milton Erickson has taught me to read the "Patterns" and I DO feel they fit that person.

BUT NO, I WILL NOT PUT THEIR NAME ON BLAST BECAUSE THEY WILL ONLY DENY IT...But perhaps Michael has an opinion. I'm serious. But I can't believe it would be this person.

How about if we get Mayor Sam to delete each and every negative, stupid, I-hate-Zuma-and-won't-you-too comment exactly like the one you posted above.

Guess what you ugly mo'fo'--my poll will kick your boring ass. You're so boring and all of this Zuma-bashing is more than any reader can take.

If it's clicks that MS is after, you are preventing them with your incessant whining. If that's your goal, then MS needs to step in and eliminate your bullshit.

I don't know what "clicking" does or means to MS, but I do know that the anti-Zuma posting is enough to make the normals go away and not come back here, wait 6 months, come back and it's still going on.

They are posting negatives against each candidate that ran for Mayor and having them duke it out with eachother to distract from his poor performance and low numbers as Mayor. Team Obama is on to Villaraigosa. Why do you think he wasn't appointed nor considered for ANY position in WA. It was the Vignali drug dealer support letter he wrote.

The Vignali scandal couldn't hurt the Clintons. It won't hurt MAV. This country is a mess. Americans have so many problems. They don't care about Vignali.
